Tutto bene in Bellagio

It was quite the effort to drag my suitcase up countless cobblestone steps to my home among the rooftops for a few days, but the view was spectacular. The accomodation was charming, even if the floor squeaked with every footstep, and I banged my head more than a few times on the low rafters. The location couldn’t be more central, with a wine bar, restaurants and little grocery nearby to stock the fridge. I certainly got my steps in traipsing through the little laneways. A warning to travellers arriving by car..the last 200 metres have to be negotiated by foot..and it’s all uphill! Make sure you have a large wine at the end of the journey.. you’ll need it.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Communication was difficult from the beginning when I had tried reaching out six weeks before we arrived. It didn’t get better as our trip neared. The rental was cheaply furnished, linens were bare minimum, the bed is old and incredibly lumpy, the soap was almost empty when we arrived, and the bathroom smelled and was evident of mold. The shower and bathroom in general is awful. If you’re any taller than 5’5” you’ll hit your head in many parts of this loft. It wasn’t super expensive so I guess you get what you pay for. For such a big company I had higher expectations of customer service, responsiveness, and accommodation. At the end of a one week stay they wouldn’t even give us more toilet paper lol My advice, stay at a hotel. There are many nearby with more amenities and not much more money.
