What an awesome bed and breakfast. We enjoyed everything from the friendly staff, wine and cheese at 5:00 - desserts in pm and then Ms. Beverly's home cooked breakfast. We got to stay in Room 10 and it was just the perfect.

We pulled into Beufort without a reservation and after a quick search of the local B&B's (there are a few nice ones) settled on the Rhett House. Everyone there was great. If you go without a reservation you risk not having the best room selection, but you also get "the walk up rate" for all the rooms which can be a bit cheaper than what is on the website. We did this and ended up with the Honeymoon Suite which was a very nice with a private screen porch. One of the great things about this place is the Breakfast cooked by Chef Beverly and staff. Fantastic! Eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, French toast, etc. etc.-- all you'd ever want and it is great. Also desserts cooked before you go to bed. Chef Beverly got a personal letter of congratulations from then governor Nikki Haley for all the great things she's done for the cuisine of the low country. We had a great time and will be back.

We were in the area to attend our daughter's graduation from Marine Corps boot camp. Beaufort was a perfect location and Rhett House Inn was an excellent choice. Amy was very welcoming. The inn was not full on the night we arrived so Amy let us view a few different rooms to make sure we were happy with our chosen room. We were off to Parris Island early each morning so we did not get to enjoy Beverley's breakfast, but we did enjoy her charming personality one morning. Desserts served evening were a delightful way to end our days. The location is excellent in a town that is easy to walk around. I would happily book another stay in a heartbeat. I would have liked to spend more time on the grounds.

If you book and need to cancel when a natural disaster occurs (Hurricane Irma) expect to be charged for a nights stay if you don't cancel fours days prior to your stay. We hope they enjoy the $200 plus they received without providing the services. It will be the last dime we spend anywhere near this or hotel or Beaufort in general. We understand policies. We also understand human decency and exceptions. We will be certain to tell all our friends not to do business with this Inn. We have a large network of friends and professionals we will share this experience with. Congratulations on losing thousands of dollars in future business.

We were scheduled to stay at the Rhett House Inn for this weekend, September 15-17. Hurricane Irma hit my hometown of Charleston, SC on September 11. During the storm, two large trees feel on my house and I called on Sept. 13 to cancel the reservations. I was told I would still be charged for one night's stay because I did not cancel the required 4 days before the reservation. I pointed out that 4 days before the reservation, we were all enduring a hurricane, my house is severely damaged, and that it was 2 days before the reservation. I was then told that this is a strict rule and they would charge my card and then send me a gift certificate to stay for one night at a later date. At this point, I have no idea when I can even take a vacation, but I assure you it will not be at an establishment that treats people like this. Shame on you.

We stayed in Room 3. Beautiful Southern Charm. Outside Deck had impressive trees and view. The Staff was very warming. Wine and Cheese and Cookies depending on what time of day. We cut our stay short due to concerns of hurricane, but would recommend the Rhett House Inn as a Must Stay if you ever go to Beaufort. Easy walk down to shops and restaurants. We used their bikes to travel around town. Alot of History in that town. We will stay there when we get back to the area. We were planning on vacationing in area, but decided to drive back to Iowa.

This was our second time staying at the Rhett House Inn. The first was last summer and we enjoyedit so much we decided to return for one night. We were greeted by a friendly staff. No help with our bags to the second floor. The cookies and ice tea were nice upon arrival. Our room was ready even though we were early. The room was ok. Not really as nice as I had remembered. The inn definately needs an update. Breakfast left alot to be desired. Lots of choices. I had french toast not that great. Never was offered a coffee refill. It just seemed like the wait staff wanted to be somewhere else. I know we will try a different place next time.

Our room was as advertised except for the fact that the bathroom door did not fully close. Would have been nice to know that. We probably would have chosen a different room. The staff was very nice, but they can't make up for the policies of the owners which include a service fee of 10%. That makes the cookies and afternoon cheese and hummus seem to be less of a treat and pretty much something you've paid for. We've stayed in similarly priced Inns and hotels and this one does not merit the price.

When arriving at the Rhett House for a 2 night stay, we were greeted by a friendly young lady who proceeded to tell us the room we had reserved some weeks before was occupied. We were led to believe it was either the fault of their switching to a new reservation app or a problem with As I glanced down to their hard copy reservation list I denoted that our name was assigned the proper room, and yet they had given it to another guest. Strange. We were offered another room (the last one they had) which was not in the main building but in a separate house. There were only 2 bedrooms in this house, a large living room and kitchen. This house is usually rented to families. Here we shared the entire house with one other couple. This was acceptable. In the main house parlor there was wine and beer offered for purchase. Crackers and cheese was offered around 5:30...not much of a big deal. At 7 dessert was available off the kitchen but not enough to go around. Breakfast was included and apparently is the same every morning..and not anything special. Eggs, meat, grits, pancakes and French toast. Very ordinary presentation with small portions. The servers were not what we would call overly friendly and seemed wanting to be elsewhere. Getting a coffee refill required one to go into the parlor to self serve. I recall asking for syrup for the French toast but never received it. The room itself was just Ok.. Bed somewhat uncomfortable. The flat screen TV did not work. I asked if someone could look at it to determine if there was a trick to making it work but was told later when we returned for the day that they couldn't fix it because the "door was locked" and we weren't there. I wasn't aware that we needed to wait all day in the room to let them look at it. Apparently one of the staff had gone home with the extra door key. The TV was not functioning the rest of our stay. Not a huge deal but if it was offered it should work. The building itself could use some fixing but it is an old one so one could excuse it. My wife and I have been to a number of B&Bs in many different countries and had to judge the Rhett House as lower quality..and we are easy to please. Don't think we would return.

I was very disappointed in my stay at the rent house. The rooms were average. The breakfast was not nearly as good as advertised. And the menu doesn't change so for 3 days we ate the same meal. The room shook from the thunderstorm and the rain sounded like it was in the room. Compared to other B&Bs it was quite a disappointment
