Overall, I had a very delightful stay apart from an encounter with the hotel's boss, as it appears. After checking out, I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes with the permission of a co-worker who said me waiting there momentarily was no issue. The manager then came on duty and made me feel very uncomfortable. He told me I couldn't stay in the lobby for any longer. I asked if he could be patient with me because my cab was on the way to pick me up. After telling him this, he pestered me two more times to leave. My trip was concluded on a very bad note.
The breakfast was OK they were doing some reconstruction on the hotel during our stay. Which was a little inconvenient, but we spent most of our time out.
The rooms have been renovated and are clean. The reception staff was pleasant upon our arrival. The WIFI does not work well so we were unable to watch a movie on our devices. The grounds are dirty with trash and cigarettes even though it is supposed to be a smoke free hotel. I am glad that we brought our own breakfast items since the breakfast is quite limited and was not appetizing. There is not an elevator and no luggage carts that we saw. The outside door leading to the hallway was never locked. I guess the lock was broken. I did not feel safe due to this. The room key constantly gave us issues trying to get into our room. This is a very old hotel trying to look better. They are currently renovating so perhaps the changes will improve the overall quality of the hotel .
Hotel has good curb appeal but that's about it. Reception staff was not friendly at all. We were placed on a ground floor room with renovations going on right outside of our window. This was not necessary since part of the facility was not under renovation and the hotel was almost empty. No windows could be opened for venting and there was a strange smell in the room.I would not recommend this facility and will not rebook it, WIFI did not work.
We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable and content only complaint was the Internet would go out too often and breakfast was not to the best quality Other than that everything was great. The front desk clerk was wonderful!
Hotel was nice! We had a nice clean room, however we did not have the view of the marsh which I was told I needed to ask for. Next time I will ask because it was beautiful! Staff was nice. We were glad to have continental breakfast provided...this saved us some time and money!
Clean, easy hotel. Quiet and a lively back view. Great bed and pillows. Breakfast is only ok. Need real mugs for coffee.
Son graduating from Parris Island. Very close to and easy to get to Parris Island. Was weary because of reviews i had read. Not like the Howard Johnson's i have stayed at in past years, but we had no problems. Sheets wasn't changed when room was cleaned, but i don't change my sheets every night at home. Very quite, slept good up at 4:am every morning and on the road by 5:am. All in all i would recommend to others. Didn't go for breakfast so i can't rate it, didn't use internet.
BE WARNED! DON'T STAY HERE! This place lists $67 a night as avg stay rate, UNLESS there is a Marine Corps graduation (why we went) that weekend, then they gouge you for $113 a night. We found housing on Parris Island for $44 a night and called to cancel our room before Noon the day of our arrival. They absolutely refused the cancellation saying it had to be 24 hours prior, even though Expedia says 4pm day of stay when I booked. Talked with supervisor, expedia called also to dispute and after 45 min they refused to budge. They charged me Full Price for NOT staying at their hotel when I canceled well BEFORE the time listed on expedia. Enjoy my $113 because Wyndham Resorts hotels will NEVER get another dollar from me or my large family. Complete SHYSTERS!
The view is amazing and the rooms are very clean and beautiful. The staff is very friendly also.
