The Hilton hotel is just a 15 minute walk from the station with an interesting walk past Bath Abbey. Located close by the famous Pulterney Bridge, the hotel offers a wide range of choices in rooms for your stay. the restaurant offers a good selection of snacks and excellent a la carte meals well presented and good quality. Service in the hotel is excellent.
Booked this hotel through another booking site (sorry Tripadvisor!). Looking for a centrally located hotel for a weekend away with my wife. The first thing to note about this hotel is parking. This is located in an adjacent shopping centre and is expensive Reception is a little cramped if there are a lot of people checking in / out. But the staff were very friendly The room was clean and well presented. The main downside was the evening service in the restaurant. The menu was limited and very uninspiring for a city centre hotel. This was coupled with less than good service where we waited 45 minutes for food in the very empty restaurant - maybe the lack of customers was a sign On the plus side breakfast was excellent, plentiful and varied Hilton you should definitely review what you do at breakfast and do the same in the evening All in all as a regular guest at Hiltons around the world this was not in my top ten
We booked a suite at Hilton Bath City to compliment a day at the Thermae Spa. The Hilton Honours App allowed us to pre-choose our room (318) and check-in 24 hours before which was novel. On arrival we parked in the underground car park managed by a private company and cost £17.50 for 24hrs which is very convenient. Waitrose share the car park however and it gets very busy and full quickly. Validate the chip at reception for special rates. The room was very nice; spacious with a separate lounge, LCD tv, Tschibo coffee machine + a free mini bar! The view was beautiful, looking over the East side adjacent to the River Avon and Pultney Bridge. Sadly the windows were filthy with grime and don't fully open for safety reasons. The individual Air Con was a grateful touch as the room become very warm. The bathroom was large, clean & modern including a separate shower unit and bath. Sadly no heated towel rail which was a shame. I have to say for a suite the bed was huge and had upgraded linen sadly it was rock hard and the frame squeaked terribly. I was very disappointed and shocked this was acceptable by Hilton standards; other people have mentioned the same on here and directly I understand. I got a bad back as a result which hasn't eased off in 5 days! Lastly, the breakfast was good quality with large array of both hot & cold choices.
Beautiful city of Bath. Hotel is stone throw away from city centre but rooms are bit tired and need makeover. Parking was issue and people who concider staying in this hotel will end up paying 18£ a day! Not free parking! Breakfast was good and lots of choice. Would surely go back to city bit not this hotel, overpriced for what it is
My husband and I stayed here for our birthday while visiting Bath and the UK. We had a smooth check-in and went up to our room, nice enough accommodations. The bed was a little hard and a couple hotels we've stayed at seem to have these poorly engineered shower doors. There isn't a seal at the fold in the door, so water gets all over the bathroom and the beds are hard/pillows flat. Additionally, the soap tray above the sink was hanging and wasn't properly mounted, so every time you put the soap on the caddy, it would fall back into sink - We notified them of this at check-out so hopefully it will be fixed. We tried to log onto the internet and entered our name and email, but it wouldn't connect. She didn't tell us at check in that you have to be an HHonors member, which I am from previously working for the chain. Otherwise internet is 12 or 14 pounds. Glad I was a member, but even so, the connection was terrible. We opted to not have breakfast at the hotel so I can't rate the food service. I would consider other options should we visit again.
Here last night for a works event and the hotel looks like it needs some tender loving care. The food was uninspiring and several people sent bits back. The service was actually very good with Roger being very helpful and attentive
The twin room was rather small with very firm mattresses. Strange sound outside all night like a whirring. Room was not ready to go to at 20 to 5 when booking in was supposed to be 4. Trolleys on landing outside rooms for ages. Breakfast ok. Staff helpful.
Intentionally selected a Hilton hotel because of past experiences. Not as good tus time. The room wasn't ready upon arrival, the beds were hard, and one day the room wasn't cleaned or towels replaced until we called. Finally done after 7 p.m.
My wife and I stayed at the Bath Hilton for two nights while visiting the sites of the city. Centrally located in City Centre, you can access most all of the city offerings by walking, bus or taxi. The hotel offers all of the amenities you come to expect from large facility, comfort, restaurant, bar, lobby, clean, etc. Would recommend if you Are unsure about sampling the local B&B's, or are just comfortable with the generic well known brand Hilton offers. We would stay at the Bath Hilton for its central location. You should too.
I stay at this hotel each time I come to Bath. The rooms are always clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is always extremely pleasant and always professional. The lobby is equipped with a bar/lounge area as well as another large seating area by the restaurant with very nice decor. There is also a small workout room which is always a plus. The breakfast spread is immaculate and I always look forward to it. All in all I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel.
