We booked two nonreturnable visits to this hotel far in advance. On the first visit we were given a room on the third floor. The hallway was dirty with stains on the carpet. We opened the door to our room and were greeted by the smell of mold and mildew. There was a large section of damaged wall in the entryway of the room with obvious mold infestation. There was mold around the fire alarm on the ceiling, and mold/mildew in the grout of the shower. We photographed the issues and went downstairs immediately to request a new room. I have asthma and already use 3 medications to keep it under control, so mold/mildew are unsafe for me. A new room was assigned on the top floor and that room was clean and the hallway was much better. The staff member handled the problem immediately, however upon our return two weeks later, we were assigned the SAME ROOM. We thought for sure the problem must have been fixed because no facility would be that irresponsible. We opened the door find it had not been fixed two weeks later and they were still renting the room out! I again took photos and we went down to change rooms. The clerk was visibly concerned by the pictures and that we had encountered this on an earlier trip.
Previous staff also gave conflicting info about filling water bottles downstairs with one saying yes but another being rude and suggesting we were wanting free juice (I’m diabetic, so absolutely not). Bed springs poke and beds are hard. We will never stay at a Travelodge again.
