I honestly cant fault the hotel for anything. the room was spacious and extremely clean. right in front of a bus station. Extremely easy to get to the Airport. I loved it and would definitely stay here again!
We booked this hotel for three nights while visiting Barcelona. It has free wifi, but it's useless - you would need to pay the upgrade for internet you can actually do anything with. The room is very spacious and clean. Our room had a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, kettle and stovetop (but no kitchenware whatsoever, which was a little odd), a dining area with table, a living room with a pull-out couch and television, and a large bedroom (two twin beds together make for a very large bed!) and a small safe in the closet. There's a hairdryer and basic toiletries but no iron/ironing board. Parking is free on the street on the weekend (between blue lines) or you can park in an underground garage for ~14 euros/day. Be forewarned, the parking spots are very small, so if you have a larger vehicle it may not fit in the parking spot safely. Transportation into Barcelona is very easy and takes about 45 minutes. There's also an indoor pool and restaurant, but we used neither of these amenities.
This place isn't sure what it wants to be. But it's really up to you. You can treat it as a self catering place and it's fine for that. But equally you can enjoy a very decent breakfast in the restaurant. By the way check the milk if you do have breakfast... two days running it was horribly off. Rooms are OK for the price but it's a 3 star hotel and it's a 3 star experience you will get. So you pay your money and you make your choice.
Arrived to the hotel late in the night. Andres, was the only person at the reception desk. He was totally wonderful and full of information. I have stayed at many hotels in my time, he is truly the most patient and informative person I have ever encountered. He is a wonderful asset to the NH Hotel Group!! He provided me a map of Barcelona, drew out on a piece of paper the exact detail on how to take the tram to the city center, location of the supermarket, taxi stop and circled the iconic places to visit in the map and metro stops that were closest to them. He provided me a copy of the times and cost of the bus back to the airport and explained the times for the breakfast and location and internet information. I am telling you, he was totally thorough. The place is a bit dated, but I am totally fine with having a livingroom, separate bedroom, kitchen with stove, microwave and mini-frigerator and bathroom and a pool and paying under $100 per night. From the BCN airport, it costs approximately $35 Euros and 20 mins to get to. There are quite a few assorted foods to choose from for breakfast. Eusebio, the server is fabulous! He caters to your needs, is hard working and makes sure everything is always filled. He makes the place a place to go to.
The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Friendly staff and rooms cleaned daily. The kitchen facilities where very useful. No English channels on the TV apart from the news. We took a laptop with movies on to watch. Good internet connection. Good transport links. We bought T10 tickets from the tram station which was a few minutes walk away. We travelled to Barcelona city via tram and the underground. Took about 40 mins to get to Las Ramblas. We downloaded the Barcelona Metro App which helped us get around. The L77 bus to and from the airport stops just outside hotel. A large supermarket close by to purchase essentials. Not many places to eat around the hotel. We only found two restaurants/cafes. Others were closed! The hotel pool was freezing cold but we got used to it once we were in. Could do with more sun loungers as only had 12.
As others have said, clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with good air con. Restaurant closed in August so can't comment. Pool OK. Staff very friendly and helpful. Kitchenettes are unstocked but within 5 minutes of request a box arrived with everything we needed including washing up liquid and cloths. We found tram and metro journey very easy and to be honest Barcelona attractions spread out anyway so we expected to have to use the metro. T10 cards worked OK - the odd mishap where it charged us 2 tickets for 1 journey but very cheap at 1 euro a trip so didn't matter. Bus journey L77 to hotel very easy - check timetable before travelling if arriving late - I think we caught last bus at 23.15 from airport. Biggest piece of advice if you are booking is that rooms can vary greatly - MOST standard doubles have separate bedroom and lounge area which makes them lovely and spacious BUT 8 rooms standard doubles in hotel do not and are same price so not such good value - make sure you request separate lounge to bedroom area. We travelled with 2 teens and so booked 2 rooms which was half the price of a family suite! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it great value as we shopped at the nearby Mercadona and ate in to save money! Highly recommend this apartment hotel.
We spent a week here, very clean and comfy with very helpful staff that allowed us to move to a room with a balcony and printed off all the attraction tickets that we needed for no extra change. We spent most of our days in Barcelona itself which takes about 35-40 mins on the tram & metro (tram stop is a five minute walk from hotel) The only downside is the pool area which is small and not very relaxing, it doesn't get the sun all day due to it being in a courtyard. The area of Sant Joan Despi has a lot of decent restaurants and bars. The hotel is also very close to a Mercadonna Supermarket, a pharmacy and convenance store. Would recommend more for a city break rather than a relaxing week long holiday. And also buy the Hola travel card.
We were a little unsure about this hotel after reading some of the reviews, but was so glad that we ignored them and tried it for ourselves. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. We asked for a catering kit, which was then delivered to our room while we were at the local supermarket. The kit was basic, but had everything we needed. The hotel is in a quiet, residential area away from the noise and bustle of the city. It was a pity that the bar and restaurant were closed during August, but that was certainly reflected in the price of the hotel. There are also a couple of lovely restaurants and cafes just around the corner if you don’t want the trek into the city. We bought a T10 ticket for 9.95 (you can pay with card in the machine at the stop) which gives you 10 journeys. We only bought one, and were able to use it for 2 people, just put it in the machine on the tram twice! To get into Barcelona is a bit of a journey as you need to get the T3 to Marie Cristina and then cross the road by El Corte Inglais to the Metro (T10 can be used here too). You then have a choice of where you want to get off, Las Ramblas for the city centre or Drassanes, which drops you nearer to the beach. Walking along the harbour is lovely, however the whole journey to the beach every day would have been too much for a week, but as we could stay at the hotel pool or even the local swimming pool which was immaculate, we did have options. We are definitely going back and look forward to exploring more of the local area of the hotel next summer.
Stayed in the summer. Plus side: The rooms are spacious and really clean Close to "Mercadona" a really huge supermarket with all humanly possible varieties of products at amazing prices ------ Negative side: Wifi is almost non existent Almost no power sockets overall (Non in the bedroom) You need at least 50 minutes to reach anywhere meaningful for a tourist in Barcelona
The hotel is close to the public transport, restaurants and a big store. The service at the hotel was a very high level and more than we expected. We enjoyed all the services at the hotel - breakfast, swimming pool, gym.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
- Outdoor pool
- Laundry facilities
