Ziniza The Boutique Service Apartment

The reviews on Trip advisor led me to believe this was a nice place. It is NOT. The room (505) is in need of a good deep clean especially in the bathroom where there was a build up of mould in all of the corners. The reception staff members on duty when we arrived were not particularly welcoming or friendly and when the room key card wouldn't work, the young man who came to the room was quite rude. The buffet breakfast was 'not available' and the 'a la carte' American breakfast was of poor quality and very limited quantity. Not recommended!

We stayed only one night here for visiting the famous Chatuchak weekend market. This place is not in busy streets, little bit inside the country, quite a nice location. The staff is very friendly and speak english. Porters help with our luggage at the time of check-in and also when we came back after shopping. As requested in my agoda booking we have given a lower floor room closet to the lift. Room is large. We asked for twin beds with an extra bed as 3 people in our group. Extra bed is not good as the other two. Sheets are clean, floor is clean. Huge cupboard to hang our clothes. There were two bathrobes and slippers. Celyon tea bags were there. Bathroom is small but good & clean. Clean towels. There was a hair dryer as well. Water pressure is very good as we stayed in second floor. But hot water from shower not quite hot. Breakfast is very good. Soup, starters, main course and fruits were there. The hotel has shuttle service to the Chatuchak market, 10-15 mins away from hotel. They kindly provided the tuk tuk as the shuttle in the afternoon once we asked as soon as checked in. Then in the next morning they gave a van as there were 5 people to go. Both times we took tuk tuks to come back to hotel. They charged 150 baht which is very overpriced, but we were tired with shopping & with lots of bags. There are no 7-11 near the area as this is away from city. But the hotel lobby has useful items(noodles, cookies, chocolates, soft drinks) at the same rate. So we bought from there. Checkout time is 2 pm which is a very reasonable time. We arrived only before 15 mins before 2 pm so we had to rush our bags and checkout. We booked a taxi to airport from hotel which is also overpriced I guess, but we directly paid to the driver not the hotel. As we ordered the cab at 4 pm we had to stay in the hotel lobby for 2 hours. But we were busy that time with arranging our bags. The front desk staff surprised with the huge lot of items we bought from weekend market, but they didn't tell anything once we started packing in the lobby. We also didn't interfere with any other guests or the staff so we were left to do whatever the packing we needed. Then a lady spoke with us I think she's the manager or something, & ask if we need any help. The entire staff was very good and polite specially the guy and the girl in the reception. As we waited in the lobby we even saw one staff member has found a T-shirt in a room which a couple just checked out, and they ran after them to return.

Have the hotel contact number ready when taking the cab. Taxi drivers (all) didn't have problem sending me here after talking to the receptionist. The location is really a little out unless you need to be around the Don Muang area. Let the reception know early that you need a cab to somewhere, and the cab will be waiting for you when the time comes, else waiting time could stretch to 30 minutes or more. The hotel provides tuk tuk to the nearest train station and Tesco. Let them know early too. Getting a cab back from Sukhumvit area was a challenge. Hailing a cab from the streets would likely set you back by at least THB300. I only managed to bargain down to 250B. I suggest you Q at big malls. From Emporium (only the 5th driver agreed), the meter fare was 160B. The hotel lobby is cozy. There's a small section selling snacks and drinks and prices weren't marked-up. Simple breakfast - Thai fare with rice and dishes and porridge with condiments, fried eggs and sausages, coffee, English tea and green tea, milk and cereal, and I only managed to snag a cup of yoghurt on one morning (out of 6). Great if you like Thai food. The dishes were absolutely delicious and freshly cooked every morning. Note that this is a halal restaurant and no pork is served. The restaurant, although small was elegantly furnished, clean and comfortable and perhaps new too. Tables weren't cramped together, giving some privacy to diners. It can get crowded in the mornings with many local workers staying there (for trainings) as there are a number of big companies around that area. Room wise, huge room (which looked sparse) with a king bed (clean bed sheet and comfortable mattress) and 2 bedside tables. It was a bit dusty at some hidden areas eg TV wires, the hanging lamps but I guessed it was okay coz I didn't sneeze. Bathroom (don't expect it to be sparkling) was ok and basic with standing shower. Shampoo, bath gel, dental kits, shower cap, sanitary bags and soap were provided. There's a robe and bathroom slippers (not the disposable kind so I didn't use). Check out time is 12pm extendable to 1. Beyond that they charge a hefty fee of more than half the room rate. But you may leave your luggage at the hotel for your last minute shopping. Overall, it was a great stay. Safe. Staff were friendly (but they don't speak much English). Fulfilling breakfast. But do take note of its location before booking.

was looking for accommodation for a 2 night stop in Bangkok. Was slightly fed up of the usually hussle bussle that comes with most places in Bangkok an needed somewhere not far from Don Muang airport for flight to Buriram. so saw this place on and thought we should give it a go! So it is slightly off the beaten track, but was a great place, Front reception desk staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for you, they were very helpful, polite and well informed of surrounding area. food was good, nice restaurant, room service was good. Room was very good, nice comfortable bed and shower/toilet room was very nice, only draw back was the power of the shower, (my wife described it as a dog reaching the last tree in a large forest!!) Would definitely stay here again. 20 minutes from Don Muang, and about 45 minutes through traffic from Suvarnabhumi

This hotel is reasonable priced with spacious room. Staffs here are very friendly and will try their best to help you in whatever way they can. The only downside is the location. It is not conveniently located and most of the taxis have trouble finding this hotel. But given the price and the room, I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Friendly efficent staff who are willing to help with any problem, quiet location - although NOT in the tourist area (but close to many other attractions and an airport) Good value and an enjoyable stay

The place is near by the train station, the rooms are clean , but not very helpful staffs..and room cleaning was not done regularly..the restaurant had giant size mosquitos..may be because of the dirty water pond is surrounded by the hotel..

The room was spectacular. We stayed here because of the weekend market nearby, a this hotel has a shuttle to and from it, which is nice. The America breakfast wasn't very good, probably should have gotten noodles... Aside from the market, there isn't anything else to do in the area, and the taxi driver the hotel called for us couldn't take us to any of the restaurants nearby because of the language barrier, so we ended up walking down a dark alley to a mall.

Ziniza Hotel, Bangkok (3D2N-Sat,Sun,Mon) Room: Deluxe Twin with One extra bed (Level 2) Rooms passageway not well-lit. Clean room but dusty accessories, like the hanging lamp, which was of no use as there was no bulb at all. I suggest it shall be removed. Good bed but pillow too soft and flat for comfort. No table lamp by the bed for night reading. Small balcony with one outdoor chair. Hot and cold water running intermittently during shower. It was uncomfortable but acceptable. Basic room amenities with hairdryer. Iron available upon request from housekeeping. Basic toiletries with toothbrush. Room was made with towels changed daily. Meals: 1) Buffet breakfasts were basic but delicious. Mostly asian meals- Porridge with condiments, rice with one meat and one vegetable dish. Other staple of sliced breads, chicken ham, chicken sausage, salads, cut fruits, choice of hot drinks and one type of fruit juice. 2) Room service offers good varieties and meals delivered within 30mins, hot and delicious food. Spa: I booked an oil massage service at 600baht for 50mins. Rather expensive as you may get cheaper spa service in other parts of Bangkok. Understood that during my stay, hotel was not fully booked, so it was a total advantage. Spa service was easily booked, its within hotel building and masseuse was not in a hurry and very relaxed. My masseusse, Phien was very professional and did her best to make me comfortable as I had a terrible stomach cramp. Travelling: 1) BTS- Bangsue Station (15mins walk). Bangsue to Chatuchak station: - 3 stations away - Metered cab was about 80baht. - TukTuk outrageously charged at 200baht. 2) Supermarket Tesco Lotus (15mins away) but not accessible by walking as you need to cross two major roads. 3) 7-11 (10mins away). Walk across the bridge in front of hotel. Along the lane, many street food vendors and 7-11 was at the end of the lane. 3) 40-45mins drive to Don Muang Airport. Service: 1) Concierge staffs could conversed in basic English 2) Check-in and Check-out done within 15mins 3) Restaurant staffs not as friendly as they gave the stuck up look when asked for the empty coffee pot/juice refilled (probably they were tired) 4) Hotel provide DVD/CDs along with movie player if required by guest. 5) Basic snacks and drinks for purchase at the lobby area 6) Meeting rooms and Moslem prayer rooms within building 7) Free shuttle service to Chatuchak market. Please check with concierge on time intervals. 8) No pets allowed 9) Free Wifi but a bit slow Vicinity: Hotel was not located within touristy area. Very quiet neighbourhood surrounding that shut itself after 7pm. Lots of wild dogs around the area. Good for travellers who are seeking medical treatment in Bangkok and need to recuperate. Not for travellers looking for hype and trendy environment.

Pharang Friendly: Only to Muslim, so not Western Friendly. For those of you not sure what this means, no Bacon, no Real milk and no alcohol in the dinning area, when I asked I was told "sorry thats not Halal". Room was nice and comfortable and the staff were friendly; however, have a basic understanding of Thai as their English is difficult. The poor part is the location, (BANG SUE) is tucked in between 2 major higways, the Noise is not the problem but getting too and from the hotel is. Taxi drivers will flat out not go in there (mind you the street the hotel is on is small and dirty). Instead they drop you a distance from your hotel were u walk the rest of the wsy lol, and Most Taxi drivers have no idea were it is even with a map provided by the hotel. This was a constant source of frustration usually having 7 - 8 attempts to hail a Taxi that would take you home. In conclusion the Hotel was OK, it had a gym the dinning area was nice and the staff friendly. I didnt like the: 1. Pharang friendly false truth where the hotel caters for the Muslim Taste. 2. The location of the Hotel, street was dirty, hard to navigate too and was far from everything. We were quoted 18min to the Piavate Private Hospital it takes like 40min with good traffic. 3. Taxi drivers refuse the fare to your location, have no idea or drop you a block from your hotel as they wont drive in there. We have chosen that if we revisit Bangkok we will not stay nor refer the Ziniza Hotel.
