My 2nd time staying at W Bangkok, chic and trendy, most of all the room is spacious and comfortable, staffs are friendly and helpful. Service is superb. An oasis in the busy city like Bangkok. My only go to hotel in Bangkok. On my recent visit, because of my flight arrived early, and I requested to check in earlier, much appreciated that the hotel able to accommodate my request. I got the spectacular room #1207 with great city view, very lovely indeed but the the only minor thing is that the wall above the headboard is little dirty. One recommendation if I May, an electronic bidet would be nice. I have yet to try the brunch, I heard it's fantastic, may be my next visit perhaps, however do try the breakfast, it's very nice.
I traveled to Bangkok by myself and stayed at the W. The staff was extremely helpful, I felt safe there and enjoyed my stay! The rooms were a great size, clean, comfy and great rate! Walking distance to city sites, centrally located. If I travel back to Bangkok I will definitely stay here again!!
First time staying in this hotel and we're very happy we did! For starters, the staff and concierge were very helpful and accommodating: we had informed them that we would be arriving early on an overnight flight from Europe and they allowed us to check in early so we can have a rest. The rooms were gorgeous: very high end, great, big bathrooms and a super comfortable bed. The breakfast was really nice and we even enjoyed the pool bar food. The pool area is not very big but this is a city hotel so it's more than enough for a quick dip and refresh. Overall, a wonderful stay with great staff. We can't wait to come back!!
Checking in VERY early in the morning, I was glad to find the world's most comfortable bed waiting for me. Seriously. I loved the compact modern design of the room and the Bliss products (of course!). I would only add a few small things
Just realized that I've reviewed most other W Hotels I've stayed (& I gave all 5 stars), but forgot about this one. Well, it was the most disappointing W hotels I've ever stayed. First off, the good things about this hotel. Convenient location for my biz trip; Some staff were friendly & helpful; modern deco; tasty food (both dinner & brekky); nice spa. Now, despite all the above, why I had to give it a terrible rating instead of an excellent one? Well, it all came down to how one staff damaged my Chanel suitcase & denied it; and how indifferent & ignorant the manager handled this matter. I flew in from Taipei, where they put a hard-plastic ring-wrap tag around my luggage handle. I've checked the suitcase at the Bangkok airport after I arrived and everything was fine, except that the hard plastic ring-wrap tag needed a scissor to be cut off and I didn't have one. So as soon as I arrived at W Bangkok, I handed my suitcase to a concierge staff, and asked him to help me find a scissor to cut the tag off. Later when the luggage was returned back to me, the tag was gone, so the staff helped me to get rid of that hard plastic already. Later after I settled everything in my room, I examined my suitcase again and found a small cut, just on the edge near the top handle where the hard plastic ring tag used to be wrapped. It's a very light & delicate suitcase, the entire body is made of some sort of "space" fabric material. Since the material is fabric based & subject to damage by sharp object cut and it was fine before I arrived, the only explanation to the cut was that the staff accidentally cut the suitcase edge when he tried to cut off the hard plastic wrap. I went down to the front desk immediately with my damaged suitcase, explained the situation, and asked for a repair service. For such matter, all they have to do was to apologize and get the repair done asap, am I right? No, that's not how W Bangkok handled it...hocking experience followed suit... First, there was no apologies at all - the concierge staff blatantly denied the damage he caused, and the front desk staff repeatedly questioned me, their guest, instead, asked me whether the suitcase was already damaged at the airport! I had to tell them again and again this is my favorite suitcase, of course I examined it at the airport, there was no cut at the time when I handed it over to hotel concierge; if there was it, it would be quite obvious and visible. And W Hotel in Taipei (the one I stayed during the same biz trip right before my Bangkok stop) took good care of all my belongs including this suitcase! In the end, they agreed to call up the Chanel boutique and check on the repair matter. However, when they finally got back to me, the message was that it could not be repaired in Bangkok, they were sorry for that but there's nothing they can do. I just couldn't believe such unpleasant experience could take place at a W property! I had a lot office & client meetings during my short stay there, and had to go to hotel front desk back and forth in my little spare time regarding this matter. At the very end, I guess they saw me already made a spa booking, so they offered me half price off for my spa treatment - it was a gesture, better than nothing I have to say, but it is merely equivalent to just over 100 dollars, which I refused to take. I didn't need some half price off a spa treatment; All I needed and I cared and which I asked from the hotel was the reimbursement to me if I go and get this suitcase repaired on my own, which the hotel refused. While I called up Chanel and visited the shop in person after I returned to Singapore, the estimated repair fee for this small cut was around two thousand Singapore dollars. I guess only at that time I understood why the hotel didn't repair it for me and refused to reimburse me if I repair on my own. And they made such funny gesture by trying to offset this obligation with 50% off a spa treatment. Very funny. I was speechless. So this is what happened, and why despite all the nice things about this hotel, I could only give it the worst rating, and the only non-5-star rating I gave to all W properties I stayed. My suitcase remains unpaired till now, I just don't use it anymore. Watch out for you belongs my fellow travelers out there, especially if you choose this hotel; chances are they may never be the same again!
That's my first time to Bangkok and I have to say W BKK gave me a good first impression upon check in. Fancy looking and the staff are very friendly. Location is good, BTS Station is just nearby and It takes less than 10 minutes walking to the famous Health Land Spa. Special thanks to NATTACHAI an BUA for the smooth and professional check in and sweet room upgrade for one of my rooms. It makes our trip better and I look forward my next stay at W BKK.
We stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed the hotel's location, the concierge's helpful tips on when and where to visit and updated information. Our room was very comfortable and adorned with my favourite Bliss products:) Bathroom and the lighting in the room has been specially thought out brilliantly. You can manage the room's AC and lighting and do not disturb sign from a Lenovo mobile device by the bedside. Water bottles were left for us all over the room, free of charge which we appreciated. We would go back to stay at W Bangkok without hesitation.
Top end hotel with the best breakfast in town. Rooms are great and the service excellent. we had a couple of minor issues this visit but the hotel rectified everything and compensated us - no quibbles.Would stay here again and again.
Location: Close to BTS CHONG NONSI. Lobby: Very young interior, friendly Staff. But WOO BAR is on the lobby floor, so it is difficult to see NICE VIEW like Hong Kong W HOTEL or SEOUL W HOTEL. Room: Room is not small and was clean. The golden glitter glove on the bed was so fun. Thai traditional elements were reflected in the interior of the room. The bathroom wall looks chic with black tiles, but it is hard to know whether it is well cleaned. Amenity is the same with bliss products all over the world. The pool and gym are open 24 hours. Breakfast: There are many kinds of bread. It was good to be able to taste various jam. PLUS 1) Friendly staff 2) Clean room 3) Good location MINUS There was no big problem in this stay, and it was satisfactory.
Finally got a chance to experience W Bangkok although this was my countless time to Bangkok. Located in Silom area, minutes walk away from Chong Nonsi BTS, it is pretty convenient for me to move around in Bangkok. Received a warm friendly welcome from the lobby upon check in and the staff at the front desk was friendly, and speaks good English so communication isn't an issue. Got a Wonderful room this time and love the use of colors within the room and the Muay Thai concept on the bed, with it's signature boxing glove for guests to take some photos along the way. The room was spacious including the bathroom area, with a bathtub and separated shower room and toilet. Particularly love the bed which was big and comfortable. I'm pretty picky on pillows but the pillows provided in the room was comfortable, and I don't remember having trouble sleeping at my 2 night stay. WIFI connection is provided free if you are their SPG member, else it is chargeable. I had a view which is facing the west and good sunlight shining in during late afternoon and if you are fortunate enough, you'll get to catch some amazing sunset. The spa, pool and gym are on level 6 so you can actually spend some time on their facilities. I'd for once experience their spa services. No doubt you can get cheap massages around the city, the experience I had in their Spa Away was so much better than my experience I had in Bangkok. (well at least I don't feel the pain on my legs after my massage) Breakfast at the [Kitchen Table] is one of the thing you shouldn't miss. Lots of choices for breakfast from intercontinental to local cuisine, which I'd enjoyed for the 2 mornings. Not forgetting the friendly service from the staff. In my opinion, staying in W Bangkok did slowed down my pace in this city and I'd actually spent more time in the hotel rather than walking around the city. I really had a good short break during my stay there and definitely a good one.
