"Funky" definitely describes this hotel well. It is out of the ordinary and eclectic. From boxing gloves on the bed to black and gold accents, this hotel was a refreshing change from your typical business travel location. It was very modern, with a cool lobby. Excellent restaurant including awesome gluten free muffins and breads. The breakfast was my favourite in a two week trip across Asia. Fresh squeezed juice, fruit juice shots, gluten free baking and a massive buffet were wonderful to wake up to. The room layout was also very cool and different.
The hotel is clean and as the usual W hotel, no complain. There is a BTS ststaion nearby, about 5-8 minutes walking distance. There are few convenience store (such as 7-11) within 500 meters, however there isn’t much restaurant within the area, other then hotel’s.
W Bangkok is always my first choice of stay whenever I’m in Bangkok. They had never failed to remembering me. I had trip up to northeast of Thailand for a week and was pretty much tired when I’m down back in Bangkok. Although, I’m pretty much earlier than the check-in time. They had a resting room available for my resting before my room was ready. W Bangkok had taken care of my basic needs and had been always my first choice of hotel. Kudos to the awesome staff (Poo and her team) who had always remembering me.
Sathorn is a business district and W hotel serves that area. It is convenient to stay near office as then commute time is saved , else in BKK you can easily lose hours. It has a big shopping mall across the road and lot of botique restuarants nearby. There is a BTS ( metro train) station called Chong Nonsi. Itself the hotel has a noisy reception as the bar is located upon entrance. Rooms are done up in some electric theme which i do not fancy. But size of room is good. Breakfast spread is very decent.
Great property located on North Sathorn road in Silom, with several buildings mixing some old and modern architecture! It offers as most W properties trendy bars and a great culinary experience. I appreciate the professional service but at the same time quite casual. The lobby is very nicely designed and decorated with the usual deemed lighting all over the property and sometimes almost too dark. The wet deck is very pleasant and the rooms are stylish and spacious.
I have a sore throat and the whatever/ whenever team take care of me as their family, offer a set of honey-tea, and a get-well-soon card when i leave. You should keep it up, W :) Nice location, but the traffic in Silom area is always terrible.
This was an excellent choice for our first stop in Thailand on our honeymoon. W Bangkok was in the heart of busy Bangkok, but kept things cool and relaxing with spa music and sound proof windows. The staff was incredibly courteous and well mannered and knew English very well. Our favorite part of this hotel experience was when the night shift receptionist put together a WOW moment for our honeymoon. I didn't expect so much, but she sent up balloons, champagne and cupcakes. It was a wonderful surprise on our visit. No other hotel we stayed at in Thailand made our visit as special and wonderful as W Bangkok!!
W - great.. good service the moment u arrive at the hotel great frontliner who will assist u especially when u take a taxi .. sometimes taxi driver can be very dificult in bangkok great facilities Try house in Sathorn at nite - great food -ambience and music located in great area.. connected to public transport BTS and near to some nice area for dining within walking distance suggestion hotel need to uograde their wifi.. too slow if u plan travel by taxi sathorn area is the area that avoided by taxi driver.. especially during rush hours some taxi drivers do not want to take any route to Sathorn street.. but do not worry just drop into nearest BTSstation and continue with BTS to chonongsi station and u can walk to the hotel via next building from WHotel in general is a great place with great hospitality
It was nice location for a trip and offer me good service. When I took a reservation through a web, I left memo that I prefer a room at high floor. But my room was lowest room even I did check-in earlier.
Even though the property is good looking and fancy, the staff is utterly rude and they lie very often. On arrival they said that since we are platinum preferred guest, we will be given the best spectacular suites but the staff gave us normal wonderful suites and said this is the best they have. And as usually they discriminate between Indians and other white foreigners and treat them accordingly. The service is slow , had to wait for 30mins to get a set of cutleries. The laundry delivery man barge into your room without even buzzing the bell or taking permission even though you are in the room. There is no feedback system of their own. The staff particularly ask Indians to present their passport during the stay while entering the hotel or asking any sort of queries to the staff and they would stop in middle of a conversation or service if a white guy comes and ask him anything. No sense of mannerism. They expect tips even for small services like delivering cutlery to your room. I would like to raise this issue to a higher level.
