We just stayed at this hotel. The rooms were nice, and its in a convenient area. However, there are several issues. The Wi-Fi in our room was non existent at night. We had to go to the lobby. The air con stopped working one morning, due to the key card not working in the power slot. Woke us up as it was hot. The walkie talkies that the staff use are blaring loud in the morning. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors. Lastly, the curtains are thin and let a lot of light in during the day. I think there are many other hotels in Bangkok that do better. Heritage hasn't even claimed this listing so they are not listening to their customers.
I has stayed here about 4 years ago & was had a nice stay, Now the place is renovated, but never ever I will come back here again. Had booked through the Hotel site & requested for a particular type of room well in advance & was conformed. But when I check-in they cannot give me the type of room requested!!. The site says if you book through Hotel website late check out is possible. I had checked in very late & my flight next day was in evening. When I asked about late checkout which I had mentioned in my booking, they say sorry not possible. Have to pay 50% room rate even for couple of hours additional.Have you ever seen a Hotel that has Hot water kettle, Coffee Mugs but no Coffee/Tea or sugar etc. They say its Hotel policy. Mean Guests have to buy & come with their own Coffee /Tea/sugar packets. No Hot Water , Air con is a joke, Loud & its more of a Blower, No cool air. This place should not be called a Hotel in first Place
The hotel is a nice building. Completely run down, Bathroom taps do not work. The staff is less than motivated and lazy. Unusual for Thailand. Location of the hotel is fantastic and the management could do so much about the hotel by simply renovating and investing money into rooms!
We stayed here for the convenience of attending a wedding ceremony. We had a few problems with the room, one telephone not working and one main light not working. We reported them to the desk and they did investigate but they wasn't repaired before we left. The buffet breakfast was a good selection of Thai, Chinese and western food. a good selection of local fruit and tea & coffee freshly made.
I stayed for 2 nights, given the proximity to Central Pier and metro links. The reception team were friendly and also gave me some useful pointers on how to travel and access the pier. Pros and Cons below: Room 303 - Pros: Had a ceiling fan and working AC. Large room and generally clean overall. Cons: Very hard and uncomfortable bed, leaking ceiling, room looks a little tired in need of renovation, no hangers in wardrobe, safe wasn't working, sheets had some holes / tears in them, low water pressure of the shower, noisy neighbour in adjacent room, no lift. Overall - could have been better and hotel rooms need to be renovated with better beds!
For under £20 per night, was not expecting much, but the room was a good size, wi-fi worked, shower was new. The breakfast on the other hand was really a waste of time, inedible , cold coffee, rubber eggs !! But there are a few places around you can pick up a decent cheap eat, still not bad for the price I paid
i usually stay at heritage bangkok but the some how cancel my booking so i booked n stayed with heritage baan silom llocation wise i still preffer thhe heritage bangkok coz its conveniently located just by thhe BTS chong nonsi but this hotel is nice too coz its very near the JTC jewelry trade center where Bangkok fashion outlet is located nice ffor shopping great discount the breakfast is so so i would opt to choose room only on my nt stay the room is average too but relaxing too me and friends usually go out so we just stay for sleep the toilet is abit dark and no full mirror hope they can do something about it
This is a lovely old building, but internally it needs some tlc ! Situated in a soi just off the main road, there wasn't a problem with traffic.Ideally situated for the river, China Town and Palace all easily accessible. Breakfast was disappointing, no tea bags in the room ,and the wifi was very poor. Our visit was spoiled by some Indian guests in the next room who were very noisy into the early hours !!!! I would like to visit again, but noise from next room puts me off.
The Hotel is quite nice and well located but could be better maintained, especially the bathroom and the air condition. The staff is friendly and helpful but what I really didn't like is the fact the try to charge from 1.000 to 2.000 THB for an early check-in despite they have available room. In conclusion many things could be improved...
10 nights stay Mar 2016. If you use their own website you'll find the best deal. For the price I've paid you get a good size room and semi old / classy decor. The WiFi can be slow. The bed a bit hard and the maintenance lacking. But the most annoying thing was the water pressure (at least my room). You get a dribble of hot water that's simply not sufficient for a shower. Then 1min of good pressure that is now burning hot!! And back to none... The front end staff knows very basic English. Maintenance could do nothing about that problem. The rest was addressed, and overall a relatively pleasant experience.
