My customer booked me in this hotel as the location was convenient.Would not stay there if i had a choice.Chinese tour groups which means noisy, unruly and all the nasties with Chinese poor habits. Breakfast is 100% Chinese, nothing for the Westerner.Good things: English spoken at reception ( acceptable) , internet fast and reliable. Rooms are ok, not fancy but adequate for a few days.Minibar stocked with beer and softdrinks.Coffee maker in the room.Swimming pool available, small but ok. The hotel advertises with 24 hour massage, but the girls only show up at 3 pm.
I took 3 nights in this place last week. Summit is at 1/2 h to BKK Aiport , large room. ( but no miror in the bathroom...of the suit...and very difficult to shave me....toilet break and full...after 1 h...) Only 2/3/4/5 bus full of chinese people each night...I did saw no Asiatic people... Nice team ,but only in the desk people speak english...simple breakfast serving by à Very sympathic woman ....good Food ... But the big woman in the Spa don ´t give you envy for massage..... Swiming pool not very clean... Now I am not sure to come back there again...
For the most part, my stay was ok. The room was nice and clean. The internet and air conditioning worked great. The outside of the hotel is really nice. It is a halfway point between downtown Bangkok and the airport. There was not a lot of outside noise. Biggest detractor was the staff not speaking English. My hot tea request got me a beer. The taxi drivers in the area are not familiar with the hotel and need help. Take a GPS or a map with you to assist the taxi. The food was average but not bad. I would stay at this hotel again.
We had an over night stop in Bangkok but did not want to struggle through traffic going back out to the airport in the morning rush hour. The Summit Windmill is 20-30 min from the airport and the hotel car collection from airport worked well. We had a large suite attractive bathroom, overlooking the golf course. Our balcony and glass balustrade was not cleaned. The furnishings were past their best. Check in and out was good. Staff charming and efficient. Not expensive. Simon Tarascon France.
Stayed there for one night. Nice and close to the airport, took 10min by taxi and cost only 130thb. There are some markets in the area but they are open in the morning and daytime. I arrived there after midnight and everything in the neighbourhood was closed.
We have stayed at this hotel 3 times 2010, 2011, 2012 in december and the hotel is our top budget choice. Is is close to great shopping seacon square and you can take the local songhawn (takes about 10 minutes) for just 10 THB/person. we also went to lagoon waterpark (at "the mall" 15 minuters by taxi)with was great and very price worthy. The rooms are very clean and spacious. bed comfortable, softer than thai style. The staff is very service minded even if their english is a bit poor. It took us some days to find the great american breakfast (served in front restaurant) so our first visits we had the asian breakfast with was ok for us but not the kids . The only bad thing I can say about this hotel is that the sound isolation from the corridor in to the room can be better. and if you eat at the hotelrestaurant (good food green cyrry very spicy) beware of the refills cause the very helpful waitresses keeps on filling up your glas. Overall we really recommend this hotel!
There were a lot of Chinese tour-groups. So mostly all signs/menu etc. are in chinese instead of english. Interior is quite old. Hotel in general was alright for a short stay. The breakfast was rather poor and most of the dishes were cold and not tasty. Swimming pool was ok but pretty small one. Nice little garden just outside of swimming pool area. Free large car parking. TV with 7 channels (all in chinese). Good location considering close by airport and good connection to a highways/railway/etc. Around 30-40 mins taxi drive to the city center.
It's cheap but by far not the best hotel in Bangkok. Located a fair distance from the city center at a street most taxi drivers don't know where is (without the address written down your have a hard time explaining the taxi driver where to go). The rooms are spacious with good air condition but quite dirty. The bathroom is pretty terrible and if you are lucky you have access to hot water 50% of the times. If you are doing business nearby and don't want to spent a lot of time in traffic this is a decent place. For all other activities do yourself a favor and avoid it.
