My stay was please over Christmas A receptionist named Nicky was a stand out among a good staff She was very helpful and cheerful during my stay The hotel is in a quite part of Soi 8 The breakfast needs improvement but my requests were requests were responded to quickly. The room was small but clean and had good amenities
The Salil Hotel in Soi 8 is a small, quaint hotel off the main roads in the busy Sukhumvit district. I stayed there for a week at the end of November and found it to be convenient and comfortable. Walking distance from the Thong Lo BTS (Sky Train)Station access to everywhere was easy. The Breakfast Buffet was small but comprehensive with a good variety of options. The rooms are small but comfortable and the aircon worked well - very necessary even in November! The area is quiet but not far from the business district. I found the service good and the rates reasonable.
I found the hotel to be a little out of the way from the main shopping district. It is quite a walk to the hotel in Soi 8 but the hotel provides buggy pick-up service. Their buggy service is only a phone call away, any time of the day. Their super helpful and approachable front-desk female employee (whose name i have now forgotten) was very welcoming and forthcoming. Their buggy driver in the evenings was also very friendly and helpful. The room was clean though the fixtures and fittings were looking a bit old. Water pressure was on the low side and water wasn't hot, barely lukewarm. No air-con in their corridors but i was barely spending much time there other than taking the lift. Only one lift, so it was a bit slow at times. A lot of pubs, in this street and across the road there were a lot of middle-eastern eateries. A few good massage places in the Soi and across the street too.
I used to have my sunday morning coffee at Café de Salil soi8. This is my favorite place. Peaceful location, friendly staff, especially Rainny who has provided an excellent service each time i came. Guaranty to have a relaxing time.
Over all really recommended due to location near to BTS station and Good services by crew hotel.. miss Olivia, Chalee, Linly.. miss you girls.. they are really helpful .. will go back to Salil hotel oneday.. thank guys for your help
Thank you for your good welcome. I came from Malaysia and stayed with my friends for 3 days 2 nights. American cuisine Thai food is delicious. Staff friendly reception Help me all so next time i go fir sure
We spent a couple of nights here on a stop off on the way to Phuket for a holiday. We wanted to see Bangkok and had no idea what to expect. The hotel is almost at the end of a dead end. The street had some bars and places to eat with a decent selection of menus. The taxi drivers always come and ask for your business but don't really bother you much. The hotel was spotless clean. A nice double room with a double bed and a bathroom complete with a bath. Toiletries included and a toothbrush each etc. A nice little touch for travelers who have forgotten anything. The staff were all great and there's a chap in reception who can arrange excursions. We took one to the floating market then onto the royal palace. It was great value for money and we were well looked after. Food and drink in the hotel was very good, we had a bar meal with a few beers for a reasonable price. Plenty of books to use in multiple languages in reception and some TV channels to keep up with the news at home. Overall, I would stay here again. It was decent value for money and we enjoyed the stay.
I recently stayed twice at this hotel during October and November .It is comfortable and quiet . Staff are friendly and Nicky ( Ning ) on reception was very helpful and look forward to staying here again
Excellent location. Very close to transport. Awesome restaurants around. Great Staff. Rooms have loads personality. Spotlessly clean. Quirky. I loved it here. Would definately stay again and would recommend to anyone.
This hotel is hidden in the quiet part of a small street in Bangkok, almost feels like you're not in the middle of a busy city. It has a small hotel tuk tuk that brings you to the end of the street where you're a short walk away from other big chain hotels, offices, money changers and places to eat. It's also near a train station, but we rented a van for our stay, so I can't say how far the station is exactly. When you walk into the hotel, you'll get that warm fuzzy feeling already. It's a boutique hotel that's small yet doesn't compromise on the charm. My family got 2 rooms, one premier and another standard, and they were on different floors with their own color themes. They were about the same size, but the main difference is that the premier one has a bay window and nicer shower. Hotel service was great as check in & check out were quick, and they offer tours and advice on what to do during your stay. There was a time when the heater in one of the rooms wasn't working and they sent someone up to fix it. Probably the only thing to note is that the hotel has very thin walls. I could hear people opening and closing the door in the middle of the night. And once you stand in front of someone's door, you can hear the entire conversation of the people inside. The bathroom also didn't have an exhaust but that's not really a big deal. Overall given the pros and cons, I'd still stay in this hotel in the future.
