Before anything else: Remember, this is Thailand. Quality differs here then in other countries. Most reviewers here forget that fact, so please take it into account. I was in room 512 for 13 days, for a price of ~330€ in march '17. The staff at the reception was extremely friendly (like most thais), and will gladly help you with getting a taxi/tuk-tuk, showing you the neirest 7 eleven or will exchange money with you. (best market rate was 37Baht - 1€ and they changed it 35baht - 1€) They are 24/7 open, and also have a 24/7 restaurant which delievers to your room. I had the Pad- Thai and the Thai Omelet with pork. Delicious for ~250baht (~6€). A lot of people seem to be complaining about the beds beeing too hard. They are rather hard, but after 1 night you dont notice it anymore. The area around the hotel has 2 7 eleven supermarkets in 3 min proximity, and 2 big malls in 7 min proximity. During the day you have street food vendors basicly across the street. All in all I can fully recommend this hotel! Features to note: - TV with ~15-20 Thai channels, ~2 chinese/japanese channels, ~5 english channels and a few other languages that I did not recognize. Support VGA, HDMI, DP, Mini-DP if you want to hook your laptop up for example. - WIFI Hotspots are 3 to choose from, in case one is not working quite right. Download Speed caps at 600-700kb/sec which is really good for a Hotel connection. - Outlets (2prongs - bring a adapter or buy one) - There were 2 at the desk (1 in use for the TV), 1 in the corner next to the desk and one in the bathroom. If you want to charge devices while in bed, bring a extension cable, or buy one in any of the malls for ~130 baht. - AC is in the room, and it's really needed in Thailand. You have full control of it, so select the Degree you want and enjoy. - Fridge and Waterboiler are also available free of charge. - Bathroom with Bathtub and Shower-curtain - Safes for your passports or money are at the reception, where you get a key for it.
The Hotel rooms are not like the Photos, Its so old and the staffs are not care about anything. The only positive point is being close to Royal Place and Was Pho (15 Mins walk) but it doesn't have any other positive point. you will have so many better choices in better locations and conditions with the same price!
Positive: - I liked that is is close to the Royal Palace and Wat Pho. - The restaurant is very nice, the food is very good and not expensive. - Nice lobby. Negative: - Crew did not really speak English. - Our card (key) was not working, it did not open our door. Every time we wanted to get in, we've been told it is working. Than again we had to go downstairs to tell them it is still not working and we cannot get in. We were sent back, they refreshed something on the computer. After 3 rounds somebody took a master key and we could get in. But had this "game" more than once. We did not get another room, nor the key got fixed. Also the key did not really work in the room either. After 2 minutes the electricity went off, we had to push something next to the card so it stayed at its place. - The look of the hotel is totally different on photos and in real life so are the rooms. - It is pretty noisy (from outside and inside as well if the air conditioner is on) - Very ugly view (we had a view at a parking lot of a car repair or something like that) Overall I did not like the hotel.
From the pictures this place looks like a 5 star hotel, clean, new, and modern. We checked in to our room and found that there was no outlets. A lamp that sat on a table was plugged into nothing. We had to unplug the TV to have a source of power. The surrounding area was noisy. Although there was construction across the street, the intersection that the hotel sits on is very busy. Not to mention an officer starts to police the traffic at 6am with a whistle who seemed to have the greatest lung capacity i've ever seen.
DO NOT BOOK THIS BAD BAD HOTEL!!!! This is NOT a 4 star hotel, but more a -4 star hotel. The hotel room is not like the photo's on the internet. The rooms are simple and has no luxury at all. The bathroom normal and dirty at the beginning. The sink is not even working well. No swimming pool and not good location. The breakfast is soo bad, no choice at all and everyday you will get the same dishes. Everything what you see on the photos is not reality. The AC was leaking and made everything wet in the room, my phone even got broken and they didn't compensate with nothing. So please do NOT book this hotel. You will pay a lot, for nothing. WIFI does not work at all!
I and my friend stayed there for 1 night and we choose this hotel because we want to visit Yaowaraj Rd. with other friend, check in process is quick but not really feel welcome the staff less smile. the room itself it was ok, but to take a shower in the bathtub is old fashion, the walk way to the room is quite dark and found some damage chairs put around in front of the elevator. the electricity outlet is not working (Near the window) and there is no outlet at the head board that is completely inconvenience. the A/C adjustment panel is broken and look old. The price is pretty high if compare with the location and the room conditions, We will choose other hotel if we have to stay around there again.
Outside, building decorations are little gloomy but is a nice place: 10 minutes on walk from Royal Palace, between Bangkok center and night life district. not expensive but elegant. Plenty breakfast for 200 bath. Suggest to everyone.
Room was spacious and clean with big bed and large window with black out curtains to allow us to sleep after a long flight. It is located next to every amenity I can think of (shopping, markets, food, massage). It was within walking distance of Chinatown and many Wots. Also just a cheap taxi ride from many tourist attractions, Koasan Rd and MBK. Staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke very good English which was a real bonus for us.
As a 4 star hotel, it is very simple. Internet doesn't work propperly. We found some bugs in the bed. The bed lights switch doesn't exist. The TV doesn' t work, any channel can't be seen. There is nothing inside the wardrobe where to leave your clothes, only two bars to hang up something. The pictures on the website are unreal, photoshopped or from 10 years ago at least. 4 stars is too much, between 2 or 3 could be ok. We would not recommend it wether you are looking for a 4 star hotel
We just got a standard double room, which was nice and clean with all the amenities provided. It would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities though. The room was cleaned and towels replaced everyday. We were on the 6th floor, not much of a view from our room but we were out most of the time anyway.
