last year I go to Bangkok and I never reservation . then I just walk in to this hotel I found one cute girl her name Ms.Patimakorn I called her "cartoon" she very welcome and very great take care for me even the time is 1.30 a.m. I asked her for room and she try and try looking for the great budget room to me. cartoon so very nice in the morning she wake up me that I request her. and call Texi for me. she give me an information how to escape traffic jam in Bangkok it makes that day is "once great day"

We had an overnight stop at Laem Chabang Port on our Asian cruise, so we stayed one night at the Ibis Bangkok Sathorn. The hotel is down a narrow street and a bit out of the way in a rundown neighbourhood. The hotel itself is clean and modern and our room although small (about the same size as the oceanview stateroom we had on the Volendam) was spotless and met our needs for the one night. We took about a half hour taxi ride to the Grand Palace and the tuk-tuk driver we used to take us back to the hotel had trouble finding it. Our friend who lives in Bangkok told us that that wasn't unusual as taxi and tuk-tuk drivers often don't where hotels are situated. We had a delicious meal at an excellent restaurant a short walk away and there were a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There was free WiFi in our room that woked quite well. Breakfast in the morning was good with plenty of choice.

Overall stay is good. Staff very friendly and will to assistance in any desire. I like the bed its not to hard or to soft. The location a bit distant from main road, Rama IV but can easily walk to BTS Sala Daeng sation.

I am very dissapointed with IBIS BANGKOK SATHORN on 20/2/18 especially Miss Pratimaklorn who is on duty manager. I had a urgent trip to Bangkok and decided to book Ibis sathorn via apps. I have been loyal customer to accor and has stayed more than 10 nights this year during my business trips. I always stayed at mercure and novotel in Singapore and they are awesome. good service, good people who are always willing to help. Since novotel n mercure are fully book, i decided to give iBIS sathron a try and book via app at 4pm..am flying from 6-10pm. to my horror my room was cancelled during my flight and not knowing about it (ie. no notification on my app) and i didnt check my email upon landing, i found myself stranded in Bangkok without a room at 12am. Miss Pratimaklorn offers no apology and no solution to me. I feel so sad and betrayed. However, I have to applaud one of the junior staff who is on duty - Mr. Sol (if i didnt remember wrongly). He apoligised and helped me check other available hotels under Accor group. Called to confirm availability of my room and booking and get a taxi for me. What we need is a SOLUTION and am nt getting it from a duty manager. What ashamed. Please update your booking system to real time. No one has the time to check email every hour. And please say thank you to this junior staff who helped me. He should be the manager instead of your current manager.

Even we had short time in Malaysia but we really enjoyable out time to stay with this hotel,, All the staff so friendly and kindness helping us a lots during we there,,,, Good location and nice view to looking around...

My partner and I had the hardest time finding a place to stay in BKK with our French bulldog, Charlotte. Once we found the Ibis, we’d never stay anywhere else. Staff are super-friendly, tolerant, even solicitous. We could let Charlotte run free in the hallway from the elevator to our room and she could accompany us to breakfast and lots of nearby and fabulous, friendly places like La Luna, Lisa Lama, Issaya Siam House (incredible), and Just One. It’s a simple, clean, no-frills hotel in a neighborhood with charm, a few steps from the Lumphini MRT (metro) station. ❤️

I liked this hotel. It was totally suitable for my 2 night stay. It's a budget hotel, but very clean and well mantained. The area was also nice...more local and with a 7/11 accross the street, where you get everything you need. It was really safe too. You have also a choise of restaurants and massage places arround. As I was moving arround in taxi anyways (it's so inexpensive in Bangkok) I found it well located. You maybe not right next to the main attractions, but anyways its a big city and you will always have to use transport. It is close to the Lumpini Park, which is a great park to have a nice walk or get some food and have a picnic. Breakfast was ok, but they could offer more western options.

I stayed in the hotel on two occasions. The first was almost perfect until it came to organising a taxi. We tried to get them to organise a taxi and the reception said they were. 15 minutes later it hadn’t arrived so we went to the desk and asked. The guy at the desk seemed to have no recollection of our previous conversation but said that now he would. Another 15 minutes passed and still nothing happened so we went up again and asked and for the third time he said he would do it. At this point we were getting pretty worried that we might miss our flight. 20 minutes after that and finally someone arrived but instead of a taxi we got a random guy in a van that ended costing us 300 bhat extra. We did eventually get there but it was a bit of a drama. The second time we there we called the reception once to ask some thing and they sent up a random guy that looked like they had just plucked them off the street. The first time the guy they sent up to try fix the subtitles so they could be English. He spent about ten minutes pressing random buttons on the remote before saying that he needed to get someone else and 30 minutes later no one had still come. Ironically, their guidebook said “if you have any problems they will be fixed in 15 minutes” but still a good hotel and the food was nice 👍

Great hospitality received by the hotel. Although it is not very closed to the MRT, 7 to 10 mins walk, it is still nice to stay with. Front desk staff is really nice and efficient. Check-in and out are really quick. Breakfast buffet is good for its level. Room is neat and cozy. Great hotel for budget travellers. I always stay with this hotel at least a few days when I visit Bangkok periodically. I like it.

Took a train to Lumphini station from Suvarnabhumi airport and walked all the way to Ibis hotel. It's a great place (very economical when compared to other hotels of that class, in that part of the city) to stay at, especially with an ever willing to help staff at the reception. They could give advice ranging from a good local tour operator phone number to the timings of the night market to a piece of advice of safety for a solo traveler like me. There is a good amount of choices in the breakfast buffet and the staff there also speak sweetly. And the location is well connected to downtown, shopping malls etc. All in all, I was very happy for choosing Ibis Sathorn for my short stay.
