Perfect value for money, efficiency at its best. For the budget-minded business traveller this is an ideal stop, for tourists it is not really typical... Expect good service and clean rooms, as you would in an Ibis in La Rochelle or Montevideo !
I choose ibis because if their pet friendly policy. This was my first time to ibis Sathorn. It was not easy to find so I will pass along some directions and accompanying photos: take exit 1 from Lumphini Station. Turn tight when you leave the station. Go straight. Turn right before the bridge and 7/11 at Lisa LAMO. Walk for a bit. It is a narrow road. On the right you will see Malaysia Hotel. Ibis Sathorn is on your left. I gave this hotel a poor rating because in the morning thete was no hot water. Yes, really. So I had a cool shower. I told the desk and they asked for my room number, noting that I was not the only one who had had this problem and that maintenance would fix it (though not in time for me to have had a hot shower). This, of course, came with an apology. I will also add that I let reception know there was long black hair in the bathroom and on the floor under the desk. Not mine. Another apology and they will let the maid service know moving forward. Really not up to ibis standards, however, the staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and I was able to keep my luggage there for a few hours after check out, as my flight was not until the evening. The area does not offer much, and my preference by far lies with ibis Sukhumvit 4 (Nana Station).
Check in process was fast. They serve many choices of welcome drink also. I like the room, but i think it is to small for an ibis class hotel. TV, mineral water, hair dryer, 2in1 shampoo and soap. But ibis class hotel are not serve us with toothbrush and toothpaste so the reception tell us to buy by our self at convenience store near the hotel. And also there are only 2 plugs in 1 spot. Suppose to be 2 plug in differet bed side, thats better. The breakfast was good, many kind of food served. Overall i am satisfied, thank you ibis
I was there for work, I'm quite not familiar with Bangkok, It's very good that near BTS just right at the front. Take a scound to train, room is nice and clean, I love that they prepare shower amenity and iron pad for me. the view also nice
This is my second time stay at Ibis Sathorn. The area is very easy to commute to various parts of the city during day or night. Public transport available just outside the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants within a two minute walk from the hotel. Free wifi is available so one is well connected. The room comes with a very decent complimentary breakfast. The staff are efficient. And the rooms are clean. At an affordable rate, this is a highly recommended hotel for a traveller on a budget. Whether I will visit again ? Definitely - on my next trip to Bangkok. The booking at Trip Advisor was hassle free and is a boon to travellers.
Ibis sathorn hotel is a clean hotel with good staff. The rooms are very small but clean. No sleeprs and toothbrush and toothpaste. Elevators are big and fast. The location of the hotel is in sathorn that most of the taxis and toktoks know. Breakfast is acceptable according to the 3stars of it and also better. I advice this hotel becuse of benefit to cost.
It’s became our second time in the hotel “Ibis Bangkok Sathorn”. The first one was in 2013. Having intended to visit Bangkok after 4 years’ pause, we didn’t wrestle with a subject: where we want to settle in. We just had booked the room in the “Ibis” Hotel. So, like in previous time we hadn't had no regret about our decision. There are two main reason, why: Firstly, we satisfied with location of the hotel. Ibis is situated in 10 minutes of walking from MRT station, “Lumpini” and in about 20 minutes of walking from BTS station “Sala Daeng”. It’s meant that this hotel can be reached by all main means of transport. Moreover, we spent about 30 minutes to reach Russian Embassy, which we needed to visit this time. The second reason is excellent value for money facilities, provided by the hotel. We paid a bit more than 2000 baht for 2 nights and the breakfast was also included. By the way, breakfast in “Ibis” hotels is a really worthy: wide range of dishes and it's tasty. Also, the Hotel is provided their customers with a Bus Shuttle service. It’s mean that you might be delivered to nearby MRT and BTS stations with a free shuttle. You must admit that it is extremely convenient especially, if you don’t want to go there on foot. The last thing I want to point out is safety: in ‘Ibis’ hotel you don’t have to be worry about safety your own things. Basing on points, mentioned above, I can say for sure: If you are looking for place to stay for a few nights, it is ideal variant for you. Because ‘Ibis’ is really worth money spent. As for us, we’ll come back to ‘Ibis’ not once.
Rooms are standard Ibis, well kept and clean. Staff are courteous and very helpful indeed. The breakfast is basic but adequate. Main downside during my stay was the very erratic wifi performance, which interfered with my communication needs at times.
location excellent because everything close by. Metro, shuttle bus to Sky train, restaurants plenty around plus 7/11 opposite of hotel . Really all services close by . Additionally you can book any excursion in the hotel for good price.
We stayed there for 5 nights. ++The room was rather small but very pleasant, comfortable and clean. You would not be dissapointed concerning it's a 3-star hotel. ++The staff was very helpful, that's quite above our expectations when compared to what you can see in Bangkok. ++The location is very good in the business city centre, close to metro with free shuttle from the hotel and line 47 bus to Khao San Road +7 eleven less than minute away -One of the worst breakfasts we have experienced, far away from european standards
