A best place to stay for a females solo traveler. Good location, safe security, friendly staffs, and clean rooms. Especially if you still have feeble hours before your departure time and you want to go for a shopping first,you can store your luggages at the check-in desk even after you check out. 9/10 for the boxpackers hostel. keep up your good work.

Very friendly staff. Great location. Rooms and showers are clean however sheets and towels have some stains (clearly has been washed just not replaced). Boxes provide more privacy than the avg hostel.

Great hostel in a good non-touristy part of the city. The bed, room, and bathroom were all clean and comfortable. My only issue was that the AC want working too well and it was extremely humid in the room, so humid that my mattress felt moist when I first got there. It felt cooler and less humid in the common areas without AC.

There are better box-style hostels in Bangkok.

The description of the hostel is not very accurate. The public space is more limited than stated, and not used very well so is therefore empty and you can't be very social. Premises is split over 2 sites across a small (quiet) road. You have to leave your rucksack in a locker on the ground floor as the stairs are too tight to carry it to your room. The A/C is not on all the time, only at allocated times. a large deposit (B500) is required for the key, which you get back just as you are leaving (and if you're leaving the country it's no use to get that cash then). The boxes are very spacious, but there are much better hostels in Bangkok.

Nice Hostel, Nice breakfast

Hostel is clean, however you have to request a night before for your bed linens to be changed. Breakfast is really nice although limited choices. Room is safe with security locks in every room and also entrance of hostel. Toilet is clean however our toilet's shower do not have hot water so it's a point to take note.

Nice and clean hostel - Good Breakfast and WiFi

Nice and clean hostel, break was good for the price they charge. There is a set breakfast menu (with multiple options), in addition to regular toast and cereal, fruits and salad. Good wifi connection throughout the day and night. café is open till late, can grab snack/coffee anytime.

Great hostel for >>bagpacker ♡

Have my great solo trip in bangkok with staying in "Boxpackers". Staff is 24 hrs services, walking distance to central & polite. Walking distance to shopping mall, near to night market & train station. Breakfast is good, room is clean, the only thing to comment is shower heater hard to control. Feel happy to know new friends in boxpackers. It make my trip become more interesting & have lots fun with them. Definitely will come again for next bangkok trip. Surely i will recommend it & share my experience with my friends.

The personal space though small is pretty personal and private, to me at least. I only spent a night there, I was quite conscious about myself snoring and disturbing others, so I didn't sleep very well, but that might be due to me not getting used to the place yet as well. I noticed a female solo traveller as well who seems pretty comfortable to be staying in a mixed dorm. breakfast is your normal fare, nothing to shout about. anyway, pratunam market is just a stone throw away. The location is definitely the plus to stay here. 10-15 mins from airport rail, bts, platinum malls etc..

Podtastic . . .give it a stay, plod along to a pod

I flew to Bangkok planning to head straight out South, I came a across this chic hostel, booked a night, but stayed to, upgraded the second night from a pod to a double room, I'm greedy like that! The pods are a brilliant idea, I've now stayed in many places in Bangkok and to be honest this has been the best of a good lot by far. I'm planning to return and stay when I head north again to go to Chang Mai, I'm sure I'll be staying again on my return to Bangkok for the journey home! Love Bangkok, love Thailand and love the Pod hostel!!!

Perfect for backpackers

I spent my last five nights in Bangkok at Boxpackers in January 2015 The staff here are lovely and very helpful. The facilities are v good for backpacker style accommodation. My lil box was lovely, I had a window view, my locker was handy and under my bed, the mattress and pillow were sooo comfy, close to showers & toilets, it was quiet and there was aircon and a fan. Yay for Free breakfast, I was a bit over eating a cooked breakfast by then so loaded up on coffee and had toast or fruit (with a bit of yoghurt I bought from the 7 eleven). Great location to 7 eleven (2mins walk), BTS (8mins), klong/canal ferry (15mins), night street markets & food was put back on my bed instead of having to collect it.(5mins), dentists & optometrists (5mins), about four malls (12mins). Boxpackers even did my laundry for 100baht - cheapest in Thailand, although admittedly they didn't fold it but it was returned to my 'box' when done. Enjoyed finishing a long day tripping around with a cold Chang and free wifi at 'Period' café which is connected to Boxpackers, perfect for sending emails home and writing travel reviews. The wifi is fast and works everywhere in the Boxpackers and Period buildings. You have to pay 500baht deposit for the key, which is OK coz that was my taxi money to the airport!!

Great location for shopping!

Stayed here for a night, and it was a pleasant stay. Staff will try to allow for early check in if possible, but that is subject to availability (as any traveller should know). There are several lounge areas to hang out at, and the beds and bathroom facilities are pretty decent. They have a locker just by your beds for storage of backpacks, and maybe small to medium (?) sized luggages. Breakfast was normal for a hostel: they offer a choice of 4 set menus with a mix of eggs, sausages and rice dishes, on top of a small toast, cereal, salad, juice, milk, coffee buffet. Location wise the area is pretty accessible. I walk to and fro the BTS all the time, but I travel light. Shouldn't cost that much for a tuk tuk/taxi if you have luggage though. The hostel provides easy access to the Pratanum area for shopping (if that's your thing). Arunda massage just down the street gives a decent massage if you're tired after all that shopping.

Excellent! But a pity the shower heater comes on and off. Rooms are nicely done up, just that when new backpackers come in, the sounds from the lockers and their actions are very loud and it disrupts my sleep. But overall, such cozy hostel!
