I was staying at this hotel for 10 days due to work in Bangkok, and I have to admit that I like this place so much. The main reason is simply because of its strategic location, which is close to a lot of amenities, such as mini market, bus stand, tuktuk, MRT station, taxis, central train station, restaurants, and many more. All within 5-10 minutes walk. Very very convenient. Now, for the check in and out process, it generally smooth. Although I did find a problem during check out, because it turns out that the room's indoor sandals are not allowed to be taken home by the guest. Unfortunately, my friend who has shared a room with me has taken one pair when he go home few days before I check-out, and I need to explain and argue a bit with the receptionist. Thankfully the receptionist understands my situation and I avoid paying anything. But it is odd though, as usually indoor sandals in a hotel is treated as a souvenir and can be taken home free of charge ... at least in Indonesia. My apologize if this was not the case in Thailand's hotels. Now, about the room. It is comfortable and clean, without any strange smells or stains. The bathroom is also clean, albeit with very minimal extra soap or shampoo or toothbrush kit. Also, my room did not have any electric water heater kettle, so I had to ask the receptionist to provide one. The food during breakfast is rather limited in its variety, as expected for a hotel at this price. Fortunately, the food was tasty although due to my dietary restriction (religious reasons), I only able to eat a very limited type of food. It would be good if the hotel provides halal food or, at least, more non-pork food. In summary, this is one of the best-located hotel in Bangkok (so far) which makes going to many places in around Bangkok very easy for me. I enjoy my stay here and probably will return to this hotel if I have a work in Bangkok
Great position for public transport - Sky train & underground tunnel to station. Note tunnel doesn't open until 6am so allow time to cross the road to Haula Lamphong Station if catching the train to Aranyaprathet. A few minutes walk to Chinatown - though be aware that hawker food stalls closed on Mondays hence most of Chinatown closes down on Mondays too. 3/4 hour from airport cost us $22 AUD Nice pool with very good service. Breakfast meh...
This hotel is located next to the underground link and can walk through to the main bangkok train station, clean rooms, friendly reception, small pool, small bar. I paid 1000 baht which there is a lot of competion nearby at this price bracket and ive stayed in a few of them. This is not an area i would pick for long stays but very handy for the station
Checked in 1 Night on 21st April 2019. Early Checked out on 22nd Monday. Was Issued this Room 8001 as my request of Large Bed & No Smoking Room in High Floors. The highest level of this hotel is 12 Floors. It's was a Very Lousy Room. The Hands Washing Tap was Badly Leaking Whenever Turned Right. The Aircon was Not Functioning Well as after Turned On To Lowest Degrees but still not Cooling at all. After few hours of Aircon Running. There's loud motoring sound from the Aircon. Front Desk Service face to face talking totally unfriendly at all. That's worse than phone calls to them as they dun end the message by Thanks or whatsoever... just simply hang up the call. This hotel only advantage was the BTS Hualumphong Station just outside the hotel main road. Next to the hotel was a Massage Parlor... but I suggest dun Visit it due to they totally Over Double Charged. As market Rate in Bangkok for Thai Massage was 200 to 250 Bhat Per Hour. But they Charged 400 Bhat. Even their front door never showed the Price Tag at all... just showing all types of services. Only the Transportation to Airport r Reliable & Great To Ride on as the Rates r Reasonable. By walking distance to Chinatown was totally dam far away plus Complicated from the Turning point. I will not come back this hotel again for my next visit.
The hotel provides all the facilities required for a short city stay. Pool, breakfast, restaurant, more or less clean rooms. Unfortunately, neither the service nor food nor the location have been very impressive. Good value for the price.
This hotel was a great pit stop before and after a g-adventures tour, we stayed here for 2 nights, it was very central to Bangkok city centre with the metro close by and lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby. There's a massage parlour just outside by the front doors, they offer a good thai massage for a good price. Breakfast included was buffet and a nice variety, pool areas were always clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, the security guards were lovely and made you feel very welcomed. Would recommend :)
We ended a tour in this hotel. Thats the only reason I was there and I would not recommend that hotel to anyone! I wanted to leave a small bag 2-3kg for during the tour, they wanted to charge me 50bath a day. No compromise, nothing! I would have paid something but 50 bath is rip off for the fact that I had already booked a night there (at the railwaystation they charged 20 bath a day for small bags!). The staff was super unfriendly! I never experienced somethin like this in Thailand. They almost shouted at you. Check in was only available very late after 2pm. I booked an extra night and had to change the room after one night with my friend from the tour. They moved me from a twin bed room to a big double bed room, what for??!!!! So annoying. Wifi works, but only with a complicated code and you have to re-login after few minutes. Pool is ok, but like 5 chairs! Room was not clean, hair in shower and on chairs. Only slightly good thing is breakfast and the fact that there is no carpet in rooms. Dont book this hotel. There are other ones near the train station, that are far better!
We tend to gravitate to this place. sadly it is getting slightly the worse for wear over the years. Still good value for money but you do need to ask for things rather than just accept what you get, e.g. tea/coffee in rooms. It's location is great tho' Just outisde the Hua lamphong MRT and with direct route to mainline station (Underground if you don't fancy crossing the road(s)). For older travellers, the MRT is discounted for seniors, just show them your bus-pass. If you are a sightseer, suggest a river trip using the orange flag boats (15baht pp - any distance). No commentary, but I could never understand the English translation anyway so just read up in a guide book what you are actually passing. Have fun!
The hotel was actually better then expected - staff were very friendly & helpful despite the language barrier. Room was clean & of a good size, the bathroom could defiantly do with some modernisation as it was very dated. The food in the restaurant was okay but seemed pricey for what it was. Outside pool was great - a real sun trap! Hotel is in a great location, cafes/ restaurants round the corner along with the subway, nice hotel for a good price
The location is convenient and easy access to the main spots in Bangkok . Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not the greatest though. Overall it’s perfect if the main intention is for sightseeing.
