My second time staying here and I enjoyed the room and staff. Breakfast was included which was nice. I really like the location as it is easy to walk to shopping and the BTS.
The staff is so warm and acommodating. Everyone is willing to help and give assistance
Bugs in the room. Breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly.
I like this hotel as it is close to the skytrain and because it is small than the larger hotels in the area. Check in was very efficient. The internet worked as promise. Breakfast is not a super buffet but I have found it suits my tastes. Check out was fast with no issues.
The location is great but was overall disappointed with the quality of the room and hotel. I would rate this a 3-star hotel for Bangkok. There was a lot of wear and tear. The bathroom appeared to be recently updated but the room itself seemed rather old. It was clean though. Had problems using wifi, it would work then stop, on and off again. Probably would not stay here again given the numerous other hotel options of a higher quality.
this hotel is very close to public transport, but is on a quieter street. so you don't get the noise but are still within walking distance to nana plaza, soi cowboy, soi arab etc. on site restaurant monsoon is great, breakfast had more continental stuff, but everyday there were select thai dishes and those were really good. staff is friendly, room service need to be more proactive, there were lot of small things left out - clock had an alarm set, safe wasn't working, door bell was not connected, tv cable was hanging unplugged.
The check in process was fast and efficient, my reservation was found and I was in my room in 5 minutes. The room was spacious and comfortable. The internet reception was not good, after 30 minutes they installed a modem in the room, I feel that this should be resolved instead of the guest being inconvenienced. I did not use the swimming pool. Breakfast was nice, the resto is comfortable. Close to the Skytrain, it is 200 meters away. Check out was also fast.
Great location to stay. Very good food in the restaurant. Our washer dryer unit did not dry very well. Appears to be lack of air circulation, possibly a clogged vent. I reported to hotel upon checkout. Suggest checking it early upon arrival in future to insure it works. Would definitely stay here again, which I plan on doing next year. New York Steak house located on the 2nd floor of the JW Marriot, 2 stops away on BKS. Great food, (note Dress code: Shirt/Slacks Req.) Mine slacks were not dry yet,(see above) so the restaurant furnished a pair upon arrival. There was also a travel office just down the street. Offered all varieties of tours at very good rates.
It was an enjoyable stay . Staff very nice ! Would recomend this hotel. Having a couple of chairs on the balcony woud be nice . all and all it was nice ...
Great hotel, very clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom was clean and updated. Room includes kitchen. Restaurant was nice both during the day and after hours. Good location in the heart of the shopping district.
I enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet with various food items each day. The pool and gym are great amenities. However, the water in pool was a little too cold to swim.
This is a perfect area to be situation while in Bangkok. It is just a few minutes walk to the subway, but the nightlife in the Nana neighborhood is excellent. It is quite filled with Western foods and styles, so to get the true Thai food and local experience you have to ride a few train stops. The hotel was great, the staff was friendly and the room was outstanding. It has a microwave, cook unit, refridgerator and washer dryer. I am not sure why you would ever use the cook unit as Thai food is just too good and cheap to ever consider cooking in the unit. There was 3 of us in the unit with myself and two sons both over 20. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and relax. I would definetely stay here again when I come back!! Cheers, Eric
The Adelphi was great. Quiet, clean, very convenient. Staff was gracious. Wifi throughout. Cute lap pool on the roof. The hotel restaurant is good, and the included breakfast was very good. Room was furnished with a full sized fridge and a small cook-top, but why eat in when your in BKK. Just a few steps up the street is a fantastic restaurant in an old Thai house. I hope to return and stay at the Adelphi and dine at Kinnaree. I went to BKK this time to visit friends, get a medical check-up and have some shirts made.
Very nice place. Very clean, beautiful and location great if you want some Bangkok culture. Staff was awesome! Had some trouble with the wi-fi in our room.
The service and hospitality is first rate. The location is ideal; easy 5 min walk to the Sky train. The hotel has an adjoining restaurant called Monsoon which is convenient and good; across the street a wood fired pizza restaurant also. My only complaint was the in room internet service. The log-on seemed simply enough for the initial usage, but when you sign back on it creates duplicate emails and takes forever to sign on and delete the duplicates. The front desk had to connect me the old fashion way; no wireless because the signal was too weak. Also the shower was very hard to adjust the temperature on this visit; no problems before. But I will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.
Good and friendly service. Our studio was well furnished and maintained. Breakfast is o.k. but could be of better quality and more refined with more choices in fruit, cereal and bread. Location is very good close to Skytrain and Metro and lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Hotel offers a well equipped gym and a nice outdoor pool.
Found Adelphi Suites on a travel review website and am so very pleased that we stayed here. It is a beautiful little boutique hotel with very nice elegant and aesthetically pleasing rooms (which include not only a mini kitchen and plenty of closet and cupboard space for clothes but which also includes incredible views of the city from HUGE picture windows in each room). Bed was comfy (thought it would be too hard but was actually perfect). There is a great little rooftop pool, not big enough for doing laps but big enough to relax and stay cool in and a good gym (2 of each of the cardio machines, weights, and machines) as well. The internet service in the room was off and on - though the lobby internet (and 2 computers supplied) always worked. The location is great - you are 1/2 block from the skytrain which makes it super easy to get just about everywhere for very cheap! Also tons of street vendors selling food outside - the very best food in Thailand!!! At least 4 massage parlors within 1/2 block charging only about $10 for an hour long Thail massage. Got free breakfast with our package - it was definitely a variety of dishes (including traditional thai foods of course) and an egg station. Side note: Our only complaint was not with the place but with the "concierge" who said he could save us money on a tour of the Floating Market. The concierge said he'd arrange a cab for us and we could pay a flat rate for this. The cab fare was reasonable ($50) BUT the driver took us to a "special" fleece the tourists section - they wanted to charge us $100 for the boat ride through the floating market (if you are taken to the correct main area of the floating market it is only about $15 per person for the boat ride). We said no and asked to be taken to the main area and the cab driver suddenly did not seem to understand us and told us he would get us a "discount" so we "only" had to pay $70. We were pretty livid and later complained to the concierge about this out of the way area we were taken to specifically to be overcharged and his reaction made it very clear that he was in on the whole thing (and getting a cut of the cash). SO avoid any and all tours through this place, but everything else is perfect here!!!
Great and friendly service by the curtious staff. Nice kitchen with all the needed dishes. Small but nice bathroom. Flat screen TV with DVD/CD player. Free Internet in room.
We loved the Adelphi suites. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay there for one night; but our stay there made our last night in Bangkok that much more memorable! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with our luggage and gave us a cool face towel and a cup of tea at the check-in counter --great for freshening up from all the humidity outside. They also allowed to get a late checkout without a charge. The room itself was large and spacious and was comprised of a living room/kitchen area which led into a separate, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. What we loved best were the unexpected touches plus the rainfall shower head and soaking tub!
nicely appointed rooms, very modern and clean except for little mold in bathroom, had a nonsmoking room which was good room #1105. Cookie at reception was helpful and friendly..All other staff were helpful friendly. Ask staff to get taxi for floating market and elephant ride we paid 1200B for 4 people...Must see Grand place, helps if u have english speaking tour guide...many say they can speak little english but not enough to understand..take sky train very easy, very close.. dont use tuk tuk...too much fumes from other cars and too hot. careful of pick pockets in bangkok..hotel in safe but shabby area..noisy area but quiet in room..need new towels..hotel recommend kinaree restaurant, too expensive, not good food..Very good hotel for the price...I would definitely stay there again..ask hotel to email u map of hotel to give to taxi driver before leaving u.s.
