This was my fourth stay at Swiss-Belresort and I look forward to staying there again. The service from the staff is always exceptional and done with a smile. Lodra picked me up from the airport after landing late at night and it was great to be met by a friendly face from the Swiss-Bel. Kojek Ho in guest relations is so welcoming and makes me feel like I’m returning home. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him and he always gives me great advice for a memorable and fun trip to Bali. The rooms are large and clean and I had a balcony with a view overlooking the beautiful pools. The pool area is gorgeous and relaxing with two huge pools and choice of shaded or sunny areas - some areas have the chairs in the water surrounding the pool. The breakfast buffet is good and has a lot of variety but could do with a bigger selection of beautiful Bali tropical fruit. The buffet dinners are good value with lots to choose from. The resort is surrounded by great places to eat as well as shop. The beach is a short walk away and It’s fun to hire one of the resort’s bicycles and take a slow ride along the beach path and explore the cafes and restaurants right on the beach. I’ve come across many cremations near the market which is a fascinating experience. Sanur is a lovely place to stay without having all the crowds. Must try the massage at Leha Leha Spa.
Hotel location is good and safe, and staff was very friendly and helpfull! Also breakfast was good and pool area quite nice. However hotel itself is worn out and definitely seen its best days. Our room was very damp all the time, for example swimsuits didn't dried in here and sheets were bit damp..we could smell kind of mouldy smell in the room and in the bath room. Design of bath room was odd, no door?? Okay experience for its price, but I quess I would not stay here again...
Room was not in best condition, had some patches on the walls, and the smell was not healthy. Jakuzzy was only half functional and a light bulb needed replacement. There was a constant buzz from an electric panel inside the closet, had to call the hotel engineers several times and they didn't fixed it properly. And this is an upgraded room that we paid extra. Swimming pool looks really nice but not suitable for short people because it's depth is not progressive. Regardless of all other problems, the breakfast is the worst we've had when comparing with all hotels we've tried in Indonesia. Indonesian food was not authentic and it looks like a chef is missing in the kitchen because the taste is very poor. But if all you want is beacon and eggs and sausages and pankakes then you should be good. If you want to go to the beach at 10am you may be out of luck because the are limited beach vouchers and they are gone very early. No beach towel was given to our son because hotel only issues 2 towels per bedroom regardless of number of guests.
I got bad experience when I and my family stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The woman who served us when we checked in was so impolite and made us not comfortable and angry with her words. I got the room which has dirty floor and smelly bathroom. If we talk about hotel, is about hospitality, and I didnt get from this hotel.
This resort was a wonderful experience and we would definitely rebook here in the future when we return to Bali one day. We stayed in the Swiss-Bel Resort Watu Jimbar for 6 nights in late December to early January. The positives were: - The room was large and spacious, bed was comfortable and not far from the hotel restaurant and pool. We had a spa outside connected to our room. It was very relaxing of a night time especially relaxing after a big day adventuring or when the swimming pool was closed already to cool off. However the spa was quite noisy. - All staff were friendly and said hello when we walked past them throughout the day. - Location of this resort was close to the restaurants, Hardy’s and only a 5 minute walk to Sanur Beach. - We absolutely loved the Buffet breakfast daily, enjoyed the themed restaurant nights and New Years Eve dinner. - In our room we had a mini bar which they said everything was complimentary for the first day which was a bonus. The fridge was also handy for keeping plenty of water cold to stay hydrated. - Security at the hotel entrance always checked cars and greeted us whenever we arrived or left the resort. - The swim up bar was excellent and saved hoping out of the pool to order drinks. The icecream was delicious and the pool was refreshing. The negatives were: - The NYE function that was run by the hotel was very disappointing. The band was terrible, bottom less drinks were way to strong and not enjoyable, not many seats so we ended up sitting on the ground, the atmosphere was poor and the event was not worth the money you paid. All the guests looked disappointed and didn’t look like they were having fun. We ended up leaving the party early and enjoyed ourselves at Sanur beach instead watching the locals and tourists set off fireworks at midnight. - We called the reception with plenty of notice as we needed an iron and ironing board to iron our outfits for NYE and they said they would get guest services to bring one for us that morning. We arrived back to our room of a night time and there was still nothing. Once we called up again they said they would send one straight away but it never arrived our whole stay. When I told the guest services when checking out regarding the ironing board she said it is only delivered when available which would have been nice to be notified rather then waiting for it after being told it was going to be delivered to our room. - Our room seemed to be cleaned really late, even on days when we left early of a morning. Usually our room was still not cleaned by 5pm. - You have to sign in and out using their beach towels obviously so nobody would steal them. - We unfortunately had a water leak in our room when we arrived back one day so maintenance needed be called but understand these things happened. All in all we had a wonderful stay despite these negatives and truely were spoilt by your sensational beautiful buffet breakfast.
Love the location, enjoyed the food but room design is poor. We liked the access to Hardy’s, Casablanca, sports bars and restaurants. We thought the breakfast and themed dinners were good value. Whoever designed the bathrooms - oh boy. There is no door to the bathroom but two doors within the bathroom - one for the toilet and one for the shower. I am short but my knees were only six inches from the toilet door. The design should never have been approved. Considering the hotel is not that old, it is looking tired. Wallpaper beginning to peel, dirty cracks in the jacuzzi and attempts to clean the wallpaper looks like to have been made with a dirty muddy cloth. Staff are good.
I was stay here for 2 days. The hotel have good ambience and facilities. They have big pool and also pool side room for certain rooms. The room facilities are good, room is cozy, and Jacuzzi available here, I like to use Jacuzzi for relaxation. The staff are very helpful. Sanur beach is near from this hotel and also if you wanna visit bar, there are many bar in sanur area so you can visit one of them.
We have stayed at this hotel around 4 times now and continue to come back. As everyone has mentioned before, the pool area is amazing. the staff are great and the buffet breakfast caters for most tastes (bit of a wait at the egg station sometimes but worth it). The rooms are clean and tidy and the air con always manages to cool you down after a long session by the pool. The icing on the cake is the location, its slap bang in the middle of all our favourite bars and restaurants and is a short walk to the beach which also has numerous restaurants worth visiting. We are looking forward to popping back over to Sanur this Easter weekend and cant wait to be sitting around the pool and sipping down a nice ice cold Bintang or 2.
We really enjoyed this hotel as a family. Great pool area, and kids play pool right where you have breakfast. Breakfast is quite nice too. Freshly cooked eggs any style, bacon and pancakes. The gardens are so lush and the entrance to the hotel. The rooms are spacious but a little dated. Sheets feel new and the beds are very comfortable. For the price of the hotel I am quite impressed. The managers are friendly and helpful. One stand out person is the gentleman that high fives you with the warmest greeting and smile. He even helped me rock my baby to sleep. He is was a highlight, we loved seeing him and the kids did too. Never met someone so incredibly happy everyday. We will be back. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
The pool is not only nice but also quite big, perfect place to escape from the heat while getting tanned. Some room at the ground floor even have a private small pool outside their back window. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also serve good variety of food for breakfast. The hotel also surrounded by lots of nice restaurants, shopping stalls and convenient stores. Cycling down the beaches to catch sunrise/sunset would also be a good option you don't want to miss if you stay at this hotel. They provide bikes for rent only for IDR 30.000/day! The low point of this hotel is, unfortunately, the room (OMG, whyy?)! I don't know about other room, but the room I stayed at was not very well-cleaned. I called the housekeeping just right after I enter the room for the first time because the toilet was smelly and I could spot lots of uncleaned stains. Then I had to call the housekeeping again (at midnight!) because the bed sheet and the pillows were soooo smelly (ew!). But overall, I think it is still a good accommodation option in Sanur.
