After booking and giving arrival time, room took over 90 minutes to be ready. Supposed to be an upgrade And with a pool view. All rooms have a pool view. Room tired unclean and suffering concrete cancer and damp. (8268) Breakfast disappointing-limited range and quality. Pools nice and staff friendly. No beach access Old unhelpful advice on Mt Agung in foyer and wondeeful signage that made us smile Health and safety gone mad. Yes it is a fountain its meant to be wet
We stayed here for 12 nights with our two younger children whilst visiting another child who is living nearby who also stayed with us for a while. What a wonderful little oasis this hotel is. Fantastic pool and totally relaxing. Rooms were a good size with comfortable beds and were clean. With one of our rooms we had a spa bath on the balcony which could do with being revamped but the kids thought it was fab. The other room had a balcony overlooking the stunning pool. The breakfasts were great although we didn't eat any other meals there. We would definitely go back and in fact my other child has already been back.
Stayed here a few weeks ago for 4 nights and it was perfect for the price. Booked a Jacuzzi Room and although I didn't use the jacuzzi as it looked a little bit dirty, it was fine for 4 nights. The staff were all very friendly and made my stay a most pleasant one. I visited a friend there and even he, who wasn't staying at the hotel, was treated like a guest should be. The restaurant and pool bar were top notch and the pool itself was great. The breakfast was nice and the staff even packed me a breaky box to take to the airport before flying out. 👍 All in all a great trip! Will be back! 🙂
We had no issues with the hotel and found the staff very helpful and friendly especially in helping us find their driver at the airport (thanks Komang) . The happy hours in both the bar and cake shop are a winner. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We did dine in the hotel on our first night for their sate event and the food was ok but there are plenty of restaurants a short walk from the hotel.
Good value for money during the rainy season. Hotel seems quite tired in general. Our room was adequate size, but furniture looked old. Great bed though! Had a balcony with a spa bath but no table/chairs to sit on. Waste! Bathroom had a shower which was quite good. Toiletries supplied. Towels were quite old and grey rather than white. Had to ask for hand towels EVERY day. Servicing of rooms happened quite late each day despite the occupancy rate being quite low. Breakfast was a buffet and also adequate. Good egg station but limited choice of other breakfast food. Reception staff always friendly and helpful. Pool area very nice though some cushions on lounge chairs were very worn and these were always left out in the rain (which was torrential some days). Consequently when you sat on a worn cushion they were soaking wet - not very comfortable. Overall, would consider this 3.5 star hotel.
Hotel was recommended by word of mouth. Great location and great pool and was not over crowded. Rooms are not 4 star international standard by any means as advertised, I would give a 3 star international rating. If want 4 star book 5 star Bali style. Rooms where quite spacious and comfortable but not 4 star cleaning applied, rip in curtains and stains on curtains and behind bed lamp in bedroom dirty - no detail to cleaning. Over all a good stay and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included but average not international standard in saying that we only paid $105 per night but thought is was pretty good for money spent. Yes I would stay again. Great view on second level to pool.
Convenient location next to cafes and shops, a quiet room overlooking the pool, air conditioning not noisy, did not blow directly towards the bed as it sometimes happens. Upon arrival late at night we were taken to our room, but it was damp and funny smelling. Next day we asked for a room change and were given a nice room facing west. It was right above the restaurant but this fact did not interfere with our stay.
Two days ago I had occasion to visit the Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar for a business meeting with two guests staying there. We found a secluded corner in the sub-lobby area to have our talk, but soon adjourned to the poolside coffee shop area to continue a conversation for perhaps 2 hours. After meeting in the coffee shop for some time, a senior reception manager (I wish I could recall his name) came to my table and asked if I had perhaps left behind a small handbag in the sub-lounge area. I immediately checked my backpack and, indeed, my brown bag containing cash, ids, credit cards, powerbank and other items was not there! I described the bag’s colour and confirmed with the reception that it was most probably my bag he was holding in safekeeping at the front desk. A short time later I reported to the reception and was handed the bag - completely intact with wallet, credit cards and cash! A housekeeper cleaning the sub-lounge area had found the bag and given it to the front desk. Exemplary service and honesty that must be shared with the readers of Trip Advisor. I can recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a place where the care and concern for guests is so genuine that it exists even when the guest is not looking. God bless manager Christopher Maclean and all the members of his marvellous and most honest team!
good hotel, but not quite as expected. Good room, a little dated , but quite all right. not so good was the sloping access, maybe ok for younger travelers, but getting a little steep at my age. pool bar very expensive, and funnily room service quite good value. restaurant quite pricey but that is compared to local eateries , not Australia. Good location , especialy for families. short walk to beach, but why would you , with possibly the best pool in Sanur, if not Bali.many places to eat very local, many bars but not a ' noisey ' area. jacuzzi was a little old fashioned , but overall a very pleasant holiday. Most important, Good Bed, very comfortable, will stay again !!
Our 2nd home the staff are wonderful Astra does a superb job as Duty Manager and the front reception staff are all lovely especially Nizzy, Dewa, Lintang and Kojek. This resort has a large pool area the top pool you can even sit on chairs in the water, the pool attendant Bagus is a true asset to the Swissbel group. He is friendly and does a wonderful job. Both Regan and Agus at the swim up pool bar make nice cocktails...happy hour is 5-7pm daily buy 2 get the 3rd Free. Breakfast is nice but could do with a little more variety in the baymaries, maybe some mushrooms as a suggestion, but mostly good and Sumawan is always attentive and does his very best to make everyone’s breakfast enjoyable. The self serve coffee machine serves a decent coffee but if you would like a freshly ground cup it’s only 20k during breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious. Good size tv but no DVD player which would be a bonus. Griya Olas Spa located at the Swissbel Watu Jimbar Resort Sanur has only been open for 2 months...Lestari and her team are fantastic, I had a 90 minute full body massage and would have to say it was one of the nicest most relaxing massages I’ve had over the 35 trips to Bali. Yes they are slightly more expensive than the massages and spa services out on the road but it is worth spending the extra $$$ and spoiling yourself.
