We were invited to Sekar Nusa Villas for lunch. The grounds are set on high ground overlooking the ocean. The restaurant was quiet but we enjoyed the moment with Nasi Campur and iced tea. The food was good. Rice, beef, prawns, tempe, chicken and sambal. The staff were very attentive and it was an enjoyable experience.
Husband and I stayed at the Sekar Nusa Villas for 4 nights in September 2017 in a basic Padwa villa. Staff are lovely and helpful however as previously noted by other reviewers, this hotel needs some serious maintenance doing, particularly to the two swimming pools which have so much potential. You can see this was once a lovely intimate resort in its day, so it's a shame it has not been maintained and updated. The hotel is situated on a hill and the restaurant terrace has a great view over towards the ocean, which is a 10 - 15 minute downhill walk (steep if you are thinking of walking back!). Our traditional style villa set in well maintained/pretty gardens, was clean, although tired looking, and everything worked; the shower was great, the bed & pillows were very clean/comfortable. Having stayed in an up market beach resort for 3 days, we found the Air Con to be quieter and more efficient at the Sekar Nusa Villa! However, that is all the positive feedback we can provide. The guests all go elsewhere so the public areas were empty/soulless most of the time. The bar temporarily ran out of beer and the food served in the restaurant was of incredulously poor quality and badly cooked. Breakfast was very limited, however, if you can manage with toast or croissant and a slice of melon, you will be fine. There is the option of eggs, an Asian breakfast or American breakfast, however we found these to be of very poor quality. The coffee and tea were left to stew so we recommend you take a travel kettle (the one provided in the room was very dirty), tea bags/coffee. Our suggestion to the breakfast staff that they should just provide the tea bag/coffee and hot water, rather than just leave half a dozen tea bags in a pot for a couple of hours, was lost in translation we think. The fruit juices are synthetic and fluorescent coloured. Overall, if you get a really great cheap rate and go there expecting budget accommodation, you can get by via eating out and by using the facilities of other establishments. The Nusa Dua Beach Grill, 10 minutes away, served tasty food, including breakfast, at a good price and they will give you a free ride back to your hotel.
This place is really not good! The food is bad, the wifi is not good, it's dirty and the maintenance is really really bad! The pools are dirty, there are dangereus installations all over the place. The poolbar is closed. There is only one restaurant. And thats not good. The AC broke down one night. The next day the doors to one of our rooms couldn't close. The hotel is far from the beach because you can't walk directly there. I would never stay there again! The staff is nice. They paid for our transport to the airport.
Stayed there august 25-27th, with my wife and 3 little kids They upgraded our room to Sandat Villa, it's a two storey villa, one bedroom, completed with your own private pool, dining area, pantry, and living room You'll have a big bathtub, separate Jetstream hot and cold shower, nice and cozy bed The whole resort well kept, very clean and quite, suitable for you to relax, away from crowded, but still close to anything you need We have a pleasant and rejoicing stay, Food were okay, the restaurant set on highest ground, so you can have a view to the ocean and warm morning sunshine They have 1 main pool, with an Olympic size, accessible from the restaurant, few sunbed, towel, And they also have a big size kids pool Staff there very welcoming and helpful, always greetings when we passes by All that negative reviews, i think they have a problem with their mindsets or point of view I will give this property 9 of 10 scoring It is worth to visit, you'll never regret it, Try to book directly, you'll get a good offers, talk to them all your inquiries, i believe they will do their best to accommodate it Because, we experience it ourselves Best stay with best rate you can get compare to all the offer online Best luck to all the staff at Sekar Nusa Villas Thank you Mbak Wasti from reservation dept. I will share this joy Adri and Fam villa #107
This is one of those occasions where really should have read the reviews first - all the average to terrible reviews are spot on, even the ones that are 4 years old are still true. We were in the area for a wedding and booked based on price and proximity to wedding, we were meant to be there for 3 nights but left after 1. Everything already mentioned in other reviews is still true but to summarise - - the place has definitely seen better days, the rooms feel like they would have been fantastic 15 years ago, unfortunately its not 15 years ago and it would be nice for everything to be working (jacuzzi, mini bar to contain anything at all) - its really really quiet, not really a fault of the hotel but does add a certain unsettling vibe to the experience (and feeling its seen better days) - breakfast contains to be rubbish, laughably so. You'd be better offering nothing rather than bain maries of disappointment -we tried to order 2 beers, they only had 1 left (on a side note 50000 idr is still the most expensive Bintang Ive seen in Bali) - you would have to take a decent walk to get anywhere good - the front staff are friendly and did offer to put us in another room when we left early There is nothing misleading as such on the booking website, its just all round not a great hotel, if you book and go into it expecting it to be a bit on the average side and you have other stuff to do in the area then itll probably work out fine. If you are looking to enjoy your time at the hotel as part of your holiday probably better picking one of the literally 100's of other accomodation options oh the last insult - the wifi is frustratingly bad, it took 2 hours of being constantly disconnected before sucessfully booking another hotel elsewhere
We stayed at Sekar Nusa Villas for a night on 1-Apr-17. We opted for their Padma villa (this is the best option if you are on a budget travel/stay). The villa was beautiful with a small Jacuzzi when you enter the villa and a vast bathroom with nice big bathtub inside. This one had a nice bed decorated with flower petals for honemooners. We were very happy with our villa stay though the food at this place was limited. Being a vegetarian in a foreign land is difficult! We asked for a pizza for our night's dinner - restaurant guys said "yes" and then called up to say they don't make it that day! We also ordered for a local beer and Ice Cappucino. We took a sip of the Ice cappucino and didn't like it. The next day we enjoyed a good breakfast and checked out. Overall - their villas are beautiful and the property is huge with good landscape. It does feel a bit eerie at night to take a stroll or explore the place. Staff - is polite and cheerful but we need extra patience to make them understand our needs/requirements.
Went there just to had site inspection and lunch, not really sure in beginning as the entrance no in main Sawangan Road, however its become one of plus point as the traffic sound nearly unheard from lobby, main area and villas. Lobby with simple and cozy ornaments, good enough as most of the villas and surrounding covered with trees and flower, great air circulation, love it, and healthy the promising Villas Decorations and furniture inside each villas were amaze with sustainable cleaning and construction project going for each villa make it well maintain as its consist of 50 Villas, its means some villa still on waiting list on rectification however they maintain the cleanliness, Great Staffs welcome and friendly, firmed security with strong character always keep you safety around the compound, Stop at the Restaurant with Main pool View and ocean back ground, what else you are looking for, the price of food its crazy super cheap compare to hotel and resort around it, names it, Mulia, hilton, stRegis, their price are fortune, how about taste, you got five star hotel and resort taste with 2 star hotel price, great right!! the management even allowed me to use swimming pool for free and free towel if i order food from restaurant, guys its worth-ed experience with such a small dollar, villa rate definitely i will stay there with that price surrounding by mega star hotel and resort around, what else you are looking for...its all there.Love it
Had a great time here. If your looking for a place to sit around the pool and have cocktails made for you all trip look somewhere else! On the other hand if you want a really nice villa with your own pool at a great price this is for you. Yes breakfast leaves a little to be desired but for the price who cares there's are a few great little cafes with a 5 Min cab ride. I paid $70 AUD per night for a jacuzzi villa which is essentially just a plunge pool but perfect for having a quiet beer in after a day out surfing before you head out to dinner.
Our stay here was wonderful. Staff were exceptional and always happy to help at any hour of the day! Was amazing. They made our stay wonderful and also the grounds were beautiful! Villa, the bed, Pillows, flowers, pool was amazing. So happy with our booking here I would come again instantly! Only thing to work on would perhaps be the continental breakfast and cereal etc. other than that our stay was amazing thanks once again For a pleasant stay
