Close to hwy, helpful staff, clean room, new what I expect from Hilton Garden Inn

The staff was freindly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Three pillows per bed was nice and the room came with refrigerator and microwave. Furniture and accessories were outdated. I haven't seen lamps like that since the mid 90's. The AC unit was inside the room and noisy. overall for a one night stop between Vegas and San Francisco it did the trick and I'd recommend it.

Disappointing w cleanliness at the hotel as rest was okey

Booked three double queen rooms online and got confirmed, but none of them was available when I checked in. The front desk told me one family extended their stay, and they have to gave my room to that family. When I told him I booked three double queen rooms, the guy immediately told me multiple families extended their stay. The lady who checked me in insisted there is a policy that the rooms booked online are not guaranteed, but she failed to show me the policy. Liars are servicing the customers in that hotel.

The hallways and rooms wreaked of smoke! California has been a no smoking indoors state for a while now, recommend they upgrade!!!! The smell ruined the "Hilton Garden inn" name for me!

The service and cleanliness were very good, the location was kind of an industrial area, but not noisy. The king bed was adjustable and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Check in very slow, they informed us that since we did not book our stay directly through the hotel, we could not earn hotel points (they did offer us free water though!).

The pool was great for my son who loves to swim. The stay could have been better if we had a small complementary breakfast.

this is an excellent hotel! Only complaint was that the onsite restaraunt was closed due to computer problems. Hotel offered room service for dinner from a near by restaraunt but did not offer a complimentary breakfast to make up for not having the onsite available.

I had a great time at this hotel. It's in a very reasonable section of Bakersfield, only about a 7-10 min drive from Cal State Bakersfield. It's surrounded by restaurants and stores galore, with a wide variety of tastes. The hotel location itself, is not spectacular, there aren't any beautiful landscapes to speak of, it's surrounded by several other hotels of similar good quality. The hotel has an exercise/weight room, several exercise machines of the elliptical-type, and a Jacuzzi, and a heated pool. The room was spacious, bed was firm, but comfortable, the TV was decent, and the room was very quiet. The breakfast tasted great, but I was a little confused about exactly how it worked. Some items were complimentary and other hot items were not, and there was a single all you can eat buffet price. I paid for the buffet one day, and didn't eat the next day because I was out and about. Overall, great hotel

Family guy - Stayed for a night. Comfortable, Clean. Close to major freeways. However breakfast is costly.

I have learned not to expect much in bakersfield hotels but this hotel was fantastic early check in on a saturday she looked really hard to find us the room we needed I would stay again and again and I plan to!

I was attending a conference and received outstanding service, free internet (which many of my associates at a nearby hotel didn't have). Very secure although it is in a great area.Loved the easy access to everything! Would definately stay again! (and so will my associates).[...]

Law Enforcement training.

This was a great hotel. The beds were comfortable, clean. It had everything that we needed. The only thing it could have had, was a ice machine on the first floor.

I ordered a smoking room, no ashtrays. The faucet on the bathroom sink was lose.Ice and cold drinks were blocked off on my floor. Had to go off the floor to get them. The TV remote didn't work all the time and when it did it was slow. A/C would not shut off and was right in front of the computer desk where I was working. Had to unplug it to stop it from blowing cool air on me while using my computer. The room was not what one would exspect from Hilton.

THE ROOMS WERE BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS. THE ROOM WERE CLEAN AND HAD A HOME FEEL TO THEM. BEDS WERE EXTREMELY COMFOTABLE. LINEN AND TOWELS WERE CLEAN AND PLUSH.

We came for the State USBC bowling tournament, enjoyed bakerfield, the elephant bar. The hotel was easy to find, very quiet.

We stayed just one night to split up the long drive from palm springs to the bay area. The hotel is lovely. The staff is friendly and the bright lobby has plenty of seating. The spacious rooms have comfortable furniture, an excellent firm mattress, an ergonomic chair, plenty of power outlets, free wireless internet and printing, a fridge and microwave, and a flat screen TV with HBO. Everything you could hope for. The hotel's breakfast is terrific as well - a fixed price for all you'd like to eat, but rather than buffet style, all of the hot items are made to order. The only small gripe I have is that we were woken by children screaming and running up and down the hallway. But really that could happen anywhere -- no hotel can prevent poor parenting.

very nice hotel. even if i was sick most of the time. i had to go too second floor for ice unconvience. also had the stairs next too our room. staff was fantasteic especially early shift. will stay again were hiltin honor couple. thank you [*]
