Small, cozy old town house in the immediate vicinity of the castle of Bad Homburg. Castle, city center, castle and spa park as well as spa house of Bad Homburg are within walking distance in a few minutes. As well as restaurants, cafes and shopping possibilities. Frankfurt and the airport in about 25-30 minutes easily accessible. Bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are on the ground floor. Living area with additional sofa bed and TV are located on the mountain floor. WLAN / Internet included. Garden mitnutzung (see pictures) welcome.

Lovely house in Bad Homburg

We had a wonderful week in this charming small house in Bad Homburg. The location is beautiful and very quiet - close to restaurants, shops, parks and transportation. Our host Matthias was very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend this property.

Paradise in Bad Homburg

What a wonderful property and location. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for our extended weekend in Bad Homburg. Matthius and family were so welcoming and the house is located in the heart of Bad Homburg. So easy to get to restaurants, shopping and of course bakeries! The parks offer so many options for hiking, walking and touring. And don't forget the 5 minute walk to the Palace!!! An exceptional property with exceptional hosts. Can't wait to return.

Comfortable Small Home in Central Bad Homburg

This is a very clean, comfortable home-away-from-home in Bad Homburg - amazingly close to the center of the city, but very quiet for sleeping. The bed is very comfortable, and free parking is close by. We would highly recommend this location. If you may have any concern about language issues, don't be, Mathias' English is perfect,.

A wonderful place to stay

This little house is a perfect vacation place. In fact, we could probably live in this charming house and be perfectly comfortable. It has everything you could ask for: very comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and bath. Matthias was very responsive to our questions. The only possible drawback is that the stairs are fairly steep and narrow. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

Picture perfect home in a storybook setting

We made only one mistake in booking this vacation rental...our stay was much too short!!! It was everything we had hoped for and so much more! The owner was so gracious and helpful; the home was very clean and well stocked (even with unexpected breakfast items!); the bed was super comfortable and the neighborhood very quiet, so had a great night's sleep; and the town itself was such a treat, with so much to see and do just a short stroll away! What a wonderful get-away! I hope we can go back again someday:-)

Super schönes Ferienhaus in toller Umgebung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das kleine Ferienhaus liegt mitten in einem sehr schönen älteren Stadtgebiet mit tollen historischen Gebäuden. Der Check-In-Vorgang und die gesamte Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber verlief einwandfrei. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und würden immer wieder kommen. Wir haben das Ferienhaus gemeinsam mit unseren beiden kleinen Kindern (2,5 J. und 6 Monate) bezogen. Über die steile Treppe ohne Geländer hatte Herr Böhm uns bereits bei der Buchung informiert, diese war aber für unseren Großen kein Problem. Es gab tolles Spielzeug und viele Kinderbücher im oberen Wohnbereich). Die Küche hat für unsere Zweck Frühstücken und Brei warm machen vollkommen ausgereicht. Es gibt einen großen Schrank in der Küche indem man einiges verstauen kann. Mit dem Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss und der Ausziehcouch im Obergeschoss gab es genügend Schlafmöglichkeiten. Auch ein bzw. mehrere Reisebettchen hätten locker Platz im Ferienhaus gehabt. Der Küchen- und Schlafbereich im EG ist geräumig, sodass wir auch mit unserem Kinderwagen ins Ferienhaus rein konnten. Der Zugangsweg vom Tor in den Innenhof ist etwas schmal, war aber auch mit unserem Kinderwagen (Geschwisterwagen hintereinander) befahrbar. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es auch einen kleinen "Spielplatz", also ein Sandkasten und ein Schaukelpferdchen. Hier befinden sich auch zwei Restaurants: Taverne Kavala und Apfelkern& Kolibri. Alles in Allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in Bad Homburg.

Ruhig gelegenes Haus im Altstadtviertel mit Mängeln

Küchenbereich nur für Zubereitung für Frühstück geeignet, da viel zu klein. Sehr steile Treppe in den oberen Bereich (nicht für Gehbehinderte geeignet !) Sehr wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten für Kleidung in den Schränken, da diese mit Dingen vom Hauseigentümer belegt waren. Vernachlässigt man diese Dinge, kann man sich aber wohlfühlen und ein paar schöne Tage verbringen !

Sehr zufrieden

Wir waren 14 Tage in dieser FeWo und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. In den heißen Sommertagen war vor allem der Außenbereich unter dem Apfelbaum ausgesprochen schön und einladend. Die Küche ist sehr klein, war aber für unsere Zwecke - Zubereitung des Frühstücks - ausreichend.

Angenehmer Kurzurlaub

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und die Tage in dem gemütlichen Häuschen im Altstadtviertel sehr genossen. Ein Vorteil ist das breite Angebot an Lokalen in unmittelbarer Nähe, da sich das Kochen in der praktisch eingerichteten kleinen Kochnische nur begrenzt anbietet. Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Ausspannen! Sehr schöne Unterkunft, Check in schwierig!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, modern, sauber und hat alles, was man benötigt, auch nette Gastfreundschaft. Allerdings kann man in direkter Nähe des Hauses nicht parken (öffentlicher Parkplatz ca. 7 Fußminuten). Die angegeben Handynummer der Eigentümer funktioniert nicht und deren Haustor gegenüber hat keine Namesschild. Der Check-in war also etwas schwierig. Dennoch haben wir uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Dankeschön.

Mit diesem ruhig gelegenen Haus ist mehr möglich

Bei Ankunft war die Klingel nicht auffindbar, befand sich hinter einer Efeuhecke. Mein Mann öffnete das Tor, stellte sich vor und fragte ob wir hier richtig sind, was bejaht wurde. Mit wem er sprach wissen wir nicht da die Frau sich nicht vorstellte. Sie übergab mir den Schlüssel. Nach dem Ausladen wollten wir unsere Kleidung aufhängen, fand jedoch dafür keine Vorkehrung, ausser ein Schrank der mit einem Staubsauger belegt war. Ich sprach die Frau an, sie meinte das ich den rausnehmen könnte. Da ich ihr klarmachte das ich in diesen Schrank sicher nicht unsere Sachen reinhänge, übernahm sie es und hat den Schrank ausgewischt. Alles in allem gibt es viel Schrankfläche in diesem Haus die jedoch fast ausschließlich mit Utensilien vollgestopft ist, die man für das Ferienhaus braucht. Das man diese Dinge griffbereit haben möchte ist für uns nachvollziehbar. Das man als Gast jedoch alle Schranktüren öffnen muss, um ein Platz für seine Dinge zu finden nicht. Im Kühlschrank lag Toastbrot, Butter und Marmelade, ob dies der gefüllte Kühlschrank ist, der in den anderen Bewertungen als positiv empfunden wurde wissen wir nicht, da man uns darüber nichts sagte, und wir nicht ungefragt an Dinge gehen. Davon abgesehen das der Toaster dermassen verdreckt ist, das wir darin definitiv nichts getoastet hätte. 
Beim ersten Blick ist das Ferienhaus sauber, jedoch sollte man nicht im Detail schauen, zB der Behälter indem das Besteck aufbewahrt wird, Kaffeekanne bitte vorher prüfen bei uns stand noch Wasser drin, andere Küchenutensilien zB Schere nicht sauber. Unter den noch bestehenden Pandemie Bedingungen für mehr Sauberkeit nicht akzeptabel. Der erste Blick am Morgen nach dem öffnen der Jalousie/Vorhang viel auf Pflanzen die zu viel Sonne abbekommen haben. Schade! Mit ein wenig Aufwand hätten all diese Dinge nicht sein müssen. Das Gefühl von 'Herzlich Willkommen' hat sich bei uns definitiv nicht eingestellt.
 Die Entfernung zum nicht befestigten Parkplatz war für uns ok, jedoch das Auto immer verdreckt. Auch der Vermieter stellte sich nicht vor, oder aber fragte bei Abreise ob alles in Ordnung war. Er nahm nur schweigend den Schlüssel entgegen. Gerne wären wir da in den persönlichen Dialog gegangen und hätten die Dinge, die wir jetzt hier schreiben persönlich und diskret geklärt. Die Fotos sollten erneuert werden, da es nicht so aussieht wie darauf abgebildet.

Eine schöne erholsame Woche

Angenehmes Ambiente, tolle Lage der Unterkunft. Nur wenige Minuten vom Centrum und vom Schlosspark entfernt. Abwechslungsreiche Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar. Bad Homburg und Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten. Sehr guter ÖPNV, Ausflüge zum Wandern in die Umgebung ohne Auto möglich.

Das Ferienhäuschen war perfekt für uns. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Schlosspark, Kurpark, Altstadt und Fußgängerzone sind um die Ecke. Ebenso ein gebührenfreier Parkplatz. Familie Böhm ist super nett. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
