Confirmed my booking but it turns out they cannot process debit cards and cancelled my booking. When we called to clarify things they told us that I provided a different name than what was stated in the card. Different excuses. Would not recommend to anyone. Better off staying somewhere with decent customer service.
I booked here at the last minute via booking.com. I arrived early and they allowed me to do early check-in without any extra charge. They were very responsive though SMS. The check-in was also hassle-free. It was clean and everything was pretty okay with me. I just wish there's more sockets in the room. And I wish they were near the bed. LOL. But it's a really nice room, with an amazing view of the pool.
Everytime my wife & I go to Bacolod for an extended period, we always stay at Circle Inn, primarily, because of the price. The place is OK, the room is clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are excellent and very accommodating. The location is perfect since it is very close to my relatives. The room air condition is a little weak for the size of the room. The TV is outdated since it is small around 21 inch CRT but they have cable. I like the free open wifi and free local calls. Overall, we feel safe and I'm always OK with my stay in this hotel.
I thought that it was just the usual inn. Was surprised because it was a big hotel at the heart of the city. Billeted at a standard room - with cable TV, no electric kettle, no complimentary water, tea and coffee. Good thing it was near Robinson's Supermarket. When I requested for a cup of hot water, they provided a thermos with hot water. Good enough!
We had our school event in that place, so me and friends/classmates got a room for us where we can change and leave out stuffs. The rooms are clean and nice, I recommend this to those who wants to visit bacolod.
I was overwhelmed by how friendly and happy the staff were, with some shining examples of hospitality. The staff made my stay there. I felt so welcomed and was delighted that they could all speak English. The room was clean and spacious and the pool was perfect for a dip. My only complaint is that the pool is also the smoking area of the hotel. The kitchen and wait staff got to know my preferences for plant based food and were as accommodating as they could be, making me pineapple and banana pizzas without cheese and even sautéed mushrooms on one morning. I had to supply my own soy milk and cereal but the staff were happy to bring me a large bowl to have it in, usually without asking. I felt safe and secure at the hotel, the guards out front always happy to get the food for you as well. There was a safe in my room which was an added bonus. All in all, a pleasant experience and I will definitely stay they there again.
Just my own story to tell.. i set my own new record in terms of the time it takes (40+ minutes) to check in at any hotel in decades when checked in here 10 days ago. Fronted by the no guarantee of availability for a smoking room only at check-in, i kindly requested to speak to the manager. Surprisingly, there's none as insisted by the front desk regardless of my polite requests as witnessed by a few. Eventually, following my otherwise repeated requests for them to message the owner who was in another island as told i was forwarded a phone call from the owner Mr. Ong, by the receptionist, who while spoke politely and explained in detail the relevant hotel policy, insisted there'd be no designated smoking area in their premises (i'm aware of the local laws) except for the limited smoking rooms available at the far end corners but all taken by some month long stay tourists, and not even anywhere around the swimming pool area (a terrace, according to Ong) which i'd noticed prior to my advanced booking online, but only to find out on the next day that was simply not true. After checked in, we were always disturbed by all sorts of noises (child play, adults yelling, floor cleaning, etc) coming under the wooden door during our entire 3 overnight stays, from early morning till way past midnight. i speculated one major reason for this being the hallway is simply very long given the fact there are dozens of rooms along the stretch. As or convenience, other than a 24/7 convenient store at the front entrance area of the whole compound, it's beyond a normal walking distance to either visit a restaurant or a bar, or go for a sightseeing by the sea, the famous Ruins, or a venue in the busier part of Bacolod, although one may easily get a taxi or tricycle by the front street. No plan to stay here in the future, honestly.
I booked online a room beside the swimming pool using my friend's credit card, upon arrival and checking in i handed the print out of booking and photocopy of my friend's credit card, but on my dismay they cant accept the photocopy of CC and insisted that they need the actual credit card, to end the discussion because Im so tired on my travel I pay it on cash. This is the first instance that I use other's credit card that they need the actual card and cant accept the photocopy only. They gave me a copy that they will credit back the amount already billed on my friend's credit card.
To start with, I don’t know if I was happy about this hotel or not. First point, the hotel room that we got was a cheap one. We had a standard matrimonial room, I believe. We stayed there for three nights and paid 1300 for one night without breakfast. Honestly, it is the cheapest hotel I’ve ever been in. But I guess with it’s price, you shouldn’t be expecting a lot. The room itself was fine. It wasn’t big, it wasn’t small either. The bed was very comfortable, clean sheets. There are some points that bothered us though. One, they only have one electrical socket to charge your phone. This was a little bit irritating for we couldn’t charge our phones or our gadgets all at the same time. We didn’t even have sockets at the side of our bed which was a little weird. The wifi kept crashing and had to call the reception to refresh the internet for it to work again. The TV was annoying as well, sometimes the sound from the TV tend to shut itself down and we always had to put the TV on and off for it to work again. I mean, it was a handful. And lastly, the aircon. If you put it on high or the maximum, it makes this buzzing kind of noise that wouldn’t really put you to sleep directly. For what I paid, I think improvement has a place in here. I mean, 1300php may be cheap but it’s not nothing. The bar was cheap though. A whisky coke would probably cost you 120-150 pesos a glass. But they only have whisky and vodka I believe. They can serve you whisky coke or a screw driver but not cocktails. They have softdrinks. But there is a 24/7 store just outside the hotel where you can buy some drinks and cigarettes. The pool is very unlikely from the photo that’s shown. The pool is not big. For me, it was like a kiddie pool. We sat by the pool for some drinks but didn’t utelize the pool. It was so small, for me, that you almost don’t have privacy. I mean, we were by the pool drinking, people were swimming and talking and bcs it is so small I can hear and understand what they were talking about. The staff were really friendly. They were always welcoming to help and assist us. If I would recomend this? Yes. If you are on a quick trip just to stop by Bacolod or something. And if you’re looking for cheap lodging for short term. No, if you want to go sightseeing. Because there is not much to see on the city itself. The shopping center is not that big as well. So, better go to Talisay or somewhere outside the city if you want to bond with nature.
Bathroom floors need cleaning specially the tiles grout. Needs more electrical outlets. Room temperature is too cold. Bed linens are old. Needs a flat iron in every rooms. Elevator cards sometimes doesn't work
