My room was just fine. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, there appears to be absolutely no soundproofing between rooms. I could literally hear my neighbour snoring through the walls. Also the mount for the shower head was broken and couldn't be kept at a proper height. Luckily I managed to jerry rig something so I didn't have to do the one-handed wonder shower. Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was excellent.

Squeaky floorboards & noisy central heating

Hotel is ok for the money paid, check-in is seamless and staff we saw were very polite. Comfort-wise the bed was great but the floor in the room (Room 7) needs some serious repair work, it has an insane amount of squeaky floorboards throughout which is honestly infuriating when moving around. On the second night there was a strange loud noise that droned on all through the night and i barely slept, we nearly left the hotel because of it to be honest. Unsure what it was but it sounded like a central heating system that is in poor condition.

Don’t stay in Room 9. Room is very dark and dingy. Very small room, looks completely different than online pictures. Shower was very unpleasant, Didn’t have any hot water! Would avoid staying here, very expensive for what it is.

Have stayed in better places for less money.

Stay here if: you like to stand on a chair to open/close small window. If you like to walk lots of stairs and open lots of fire doors on-route to room. If you like not having any space in bathroom for toiletries. If you like not having any toiletries supplied. If you like not having any hooks for coats etc. if you like not having a bench to put bag on. If you like a damaged sink and unpainted ceiling above bed.

This place has the WOW factor!

We loved the apartment at Sweeney Two - it has a real WOW factor with its industrial style, which was unexpected in the middle of Aviemore! It had everything we needed and the garden area is a real bonus. It’s in a great location for exploring the Cairngorm area, we went to the mountain resort to do the tubing slides and funicular and then on to the reindeer walk, all of which we can recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed for 2 nights and had 2 rooms, the Sweeney 2 was in a perfect location, its clean, its tidy, its convenient, what else do you need. Delaynes Restaurant which is within the same building is beautiful, make sure you book though as it’s always busy

Don't Stay in Room Nine

We were in room 9. It was billed, in more way than one, as a premium double room, which we asked to be configured as a twin. The hotel is decorated in dark mink/brown. This is fine but in a small room with a very small window, about two feet across, the room felt dingy and dark. If this is a premier room I wonder what a standard room is like. There is really minimal hanging space. We have managed to hang up four shirts. Our wash basin had a hard substance stuck in one corner, which we could not remove or identify. There were minimal useful amenities in the room such as glasses and tissues. There is a small public space at the bottom of the stairs with three chairs about three metres apart and no daylight. It is hardly welcoming. Electronically the hotel recommended three places to eat. One of these had stopped serving food a couple of weeks previously. We felt that the illustrations on a hotel booking website did not truly represent the reality of our room. We are at the end of a road trip staying in five different hotels. This hotel was the most expensive yet had the worst room. My wife was in tears. This is not a frequent occurrence. We raised our issues with the manager. I understood that the hotel was fully booked. Nevertheless her response did not feel very empathetic. We did not unpack. The drawer space was so limited. The shower was pathetic and tepid at eight o'clock in the morning. The bathroom door did not shut.
