Considering this is a new rental, I understand where there were things that did not meet expectations. First, the positives: the mattresses were the best and most comfortable, the place was clean, the neighborhood was convenient to stores and freeways, the back patio was relaxing, the owner is nice.
Now for the challengees: the owner was very responsive up until 24 hours before check-in, when hosts normally send check-in instructions. My family was flying in and/or driving from different origins, so we needed to know these instructions in plenty of time. There was no response regarding code for entry until it was minutes before check-in, so I had to call Customer Service who gave me a code. We tried this code but could not get in. Someone finally got in touch with us via text (not via the app) with the correct code. When we got in, we found that the place was clean, but lacking in supplies: no plates, no glasses (only one shot glass), the couch faux-leather fabric was peeling and debris clung to clothes or fell over the floor, no cooking supplies (we used a pie slicer in place of a spatula to cook), the dining table was full of paint spatter, no kitchen garbage bags, no garbage cans in the kitchen or bedrooms. Again, kinks of a new rental, but it still does not change the fact that these made it inconvenient. We stayed for a week and these really made a difference in our stay.
Thanks.
