Top of the line property!
There's a fantastic balance of whimsy and opulence combined across the entire campus. It's just perfect for so many different purposes - sleek weddings under the oaks and in the huge Tuscan hall, a weekend getaway for two friends, a family reunion, or a weekend class retreat. The Tuscan hall and the reception area next to it are especially classy and manicured. The little white gazebo behind the small amphitheater is actual solid marble - so gorgeous! Outside the hall there's also a waterfall with a sculpture of a boy in the pond below, and it is a fire sculpture that they will turn on for guests! It's really gorgeous.
The campus has trails leading all over it between various structures and sculptures. It's fun to take an evening walk around and watch the sunset from a breathtaking view over the rolling hill country. The onsite bar is cute and there are little thoughtful touches everywhere, like a little rain shelter with colored glass hanging from the ceiling, or the myriad of intentional Insta-worthy backdrops and perches made for posing.
The guest house is Texas chic meets boho fantasy. The beds are huge and the covers and pillows so comfy. I have a bad back but I slept great and woke up refreshed. There's so much ambient lighting (in the form of lamps and chandeliers and lighted branches and Turkish lamps and a streetlight and a Tiffany floor lamp) that it's easy to create a whole mood and adjust it to the light that you crave. Atmosphere is really important to me, and this place met that craving completely.
The only thing that wasn't 100% amazing was that it's opposite day in the shower - hot = cold, and overhead = handheld. I could have also just misunderstood the controls though. ;)
A plus, outstanding, well done you guys.
Standing ovation.
