Sadly, the listing photos are much nicer than the home today.
Almost all the back yard furniture is gone, and what is left is ratty and old. On our arrival the pool had grass clumps, leaves, bugs, and worms with no scoop net. Dog poop, cigarette butts, and dead leaf piles were throughout the back patio.
Inside furniture is old, worn, and stained, though the beds were comfortable.
The kitchen was disappointing. The freezer was filthy with melted and re-frozen water, with mixed-in red food substance in a drawer, and an open bag of ice (the ice maker doesn’t work). Frig drawers are broken and don’t work. The large stove burner handle is gone and not usable.
On 2 nights a live band was playing two houses down. It didn’t bother us, but you could definitely hear and feel the bass vibrations.
We found 2” long dead and live cockroaches in the kitchen, TV room, and upstairs mobile air conditioner. We don’t have these in the PNW, so this was disturbing.
The listing photos are either quite old or there is little attention to keeping up the home. Communication with Drew and John was cordial and timely. John offered to mow the lawn and apologized for the yard condition. We informed him of the cockroaches after the initial dying one appeared in the kitchen, and he said that is a condition of living in the south. The pool was nice and we used it daily. In spite of good reviews the home seemed poorly kept up, rustic, and of questionable cleanliness, especially at this price point.
