Trim on wall was falling off, the bathtub was rusted and dirty. The grounds were unkept. I woke in the morning to my neighbor's TV through the thin walls.

The only real drawback to the hotel is common to all hotels with exterior halls - cigarette smoke from passersby gets pulled into the room. Other than that, it was clean, quiet (even right next to the pool), safe, and convenient to Auburn University. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I were there for a bicycle ride. The location was perfect for the ride start and for good choices to eat. The breakfast at the hotel was good. The price was exceptional.

The staff was very friendly, and for the rooms to be quite older, they were extremely clean, which was very surprising. Compliments to the housekeeping. I'm probably not the best person to write this review. Hotel stays have always been the high-point to all of my travels. So, I always stay at the best hotels. I chose this hotel because it was close to Auburn University where we had to attend an orientation. I was not impressed with the level of fancy. However, this was about the cleanest most well put together hotel (for such a low price) I've ever stayed in. I would recommend this to a friend or colleague.

Friendly people, hotel was loud as a party was being hosted there.

Overall really liked this hotel. Very convenient to everything in Auburn.

This was the only hotel available. Sink in room backed up during the night bringing up nasty water. If its the only hotel available then its not the worst place I have ever stayed, but only stay here as a last resort.

Needed a hotel room while on business at Auburn University. Hotels closer to campus were already booked, but Auburn is pretty small so it was not far from Clarion Inn to campus. The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping center with a Winn-Dixie in case you need a late-night snack. Rooms are breezeway-style with all doors opening to the outside walkways. Unfortunately the walkways are also the smoking area for smokers staying in a nonsmoking room, so when you leave your room you might find yourself in a cloud of your next-door-neighbors' cigarette smoke (as I did). Very basic, no-frills breakfast. Not bad if this is the only option in town, but I have a feeling that some other properties in Auburn would be nicer. Very friendly staff.

First, this is a motel with room access only from the outside; not a hotel as I was expecting. This was troubling to realize upon arrive especially since it is located is an unsafe area with little reason to feel secure. Crowd and people active right outside my door until well after mid-night. TV was below standard but workable. I did not take a shower the next morning since there was no soap anywhere in the bathroom - non in the shower area and non at the sink. Worst and most unsafe place I've stayed in 30 years. Way overpriced for so little value.

Just stayed one night. Very convenient to Auburn campus, but not too expensive. The free breakfast was pretty good for being free. It was a hot breakfast, at least, and not just pure continental style.

Didn't expect too much knowing it was a 2 star. But have experienced other 2 stars that give the property more detail. The grounds could use some renovation. The pathways are dirty and dark. The room was dingy. Could use new furniture and carpet. There was an old liquid stain dried up in the carpet and felt icky as you stepped on it barefoot so only did that once; wore shoes thereafter. The beds were comfortable though. And there was your usual breakfast included with the hotel. I would only stay here again if it was only option for overnight stay. More nights than that and I would go out of my way to find better accommodation.

A five plus minute cab ride to campus (a little too far to walk). But probably the best part of the hotel was the shuttle / taxi service they use. There was always a van waiting to take us to campus (stadium, restaurants and bars) and they were there within 5 minutes when we called for a ride back. As for the hotel itself, it had 4 walls a roof, a tv, bathroom and two beds...

Overall good experience for the price and availability on a crowded weekend. Bathroom had peeling paint and was not as clean as it could have been.

My Granddaughter plans to to to Auburn University School of Veterninary Medicine. We attended Vet day sponcered by the school for future students. The Lexington Hotel Was very nice. I was somewhat disapointed with the room as it has been awhile since the last update. It was clean. The front desk people were very forthcoming with information we inquired about. We were made to feel welcome from the first time we walked through the door. I would have liked to have had something besides Chineese dinning. 1. The food was not very good 2. VERY expensive. Also the waitress did not appear to be experienced. We had to ask for everything from napkins to the bill. I will stay at the Lexington again when I go back to Auburn. The price was right. The next time, I will ask for ground floor. I have a heart condition and the second fllor was almost more than I could handle.

great staff at the Lexington

Room was dank and musty smelling. Key CArd to unlock door did not work most of the time. Had to use cleaning ladies. Interior of room was ok but paint was pealing off the in the tub and shower area. Bathroom had a light fragrant smell of sewer. Personnel at the front desk were pleasant and kind. Room had no insulation from sound. If one was in the bath room you could hear the conversation of the room next door quite clearly. The door to the outside was not sealed and one could hear most everything going on outside and even across the court.

Very convenient to my destination downtown. Clean room near resturants on major road. Only problem I had was the lack of a coffee pot.

There were loud parties in the rooms upstairs both nights that I stayed there. The staff new that there were parties but did not let me know prior to staying there. When I called the front desk they said the party could go on as long as 2am. Left a message with the manager but never received a call back. I will never stay there again and would not reccomend it to anyone.
