Overall experience is great. It is located in the downtown Atlanta. I can walk to several points of interest.

Really enjoyed my stay. Very nice, boutiquey kind of hotel. Staff was very friendly. I wish they included continental breakfast or something, but that's my only critique.

So close to everything and the MARTA. We met many helpful and friendly people.

The hotel overall was nice but our experience wasn't the best. The first room we were in the remote didn't work. They then brought us another remote which still didn't work. After being in the room and settled they finally decided to move us since the engineer had left for the evening. The new room didn't smell good. The front desk employee Tanner (who was very nice) apologized and then stated he will have his manager speak with us with some form of compensation as a courtesy. The next morning the engineer came to our room (came in while we were sleeping to fix the tv). I'm like we are sleep and the tv in this room works. When I was checking out I spoke to the Front Desk Manager Kevin (regarding my experience) and his eyes kept wondering to my low cut shirt. He apologized but said he couldn't do anything since I booked through a third party.

The front desk lady had a bad attitude when checking me in, (even after trying to make her smile) the best service and attitude came from the door men. They were very helpful and sweet! The room had a weird smell, no view, there was prob a 10 foot gap between my room and the building next to me which looks directly into other rooms (no privacy) better keep your blinds closed! Also the bed literally only had like 3 sheets on it.

This hotel is located perfectly in the center of the city. I did not need a cab for anything. The staff was amazing, and efficient. The hotel is key card accessible, including the elevators so I felt super safe. I do not have anything but praise for this hotel. Thank you!

Members of the staff, from the valet and receptionist to the Bistro staff, were pleasant and helpful. Dinner in the Bistro was excellent, as was the buffet breakfast. The Ellis is easy to get to, and is a good base for downtown meetings.

The room and bed were extremely comfortable. The overall stay was wonderful. The only downside was that our view was a closeup of a wall from another building

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and the job that housekeeping did while we were there. I expected more for the price we paid.

Overall, my experience at The Ellis was a fantastic one! Valerie is a delightful addition to the hotel staff, and I greatly enjoyed my interaction with her. The $1 wine by the glass special from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm was also a pleasant surprise! The room was very well kept, and the bed was super comfortable. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind for my next trip to Atlanta.

Small room for the money. Dingy carpets and bedding that can only be described as abrasive. The wifi did not work and my tv could not access on demand services. The front desk was not responsive to my concerns at all. The location is not very good if you like to walk because the area gets really creepy at night. Two days later and I am still waiting for a call back from the manager. Terrible choice for business stay...terrible.

Solid hotel - Comfortable beds, great staff, room service and coffee in the mornings. Close walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants and attractions.

Stayed here for only an evening so I did not get the full blown experience however the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. Everything was comfy and cozy with a polite staff.

A quiet alternative to the hustle and bustle of big named hotel chains , this pleasant and clean upscale is a better alternative.

Lovely hotel, kind and welcoming staff, fabulous location (literally right on top of the train, 20 minutes from the airport). Beautiful and clean room with comfortable bed. Fridge was installed for us!

Everything on the hot buffet was colder than room temperature. The severs didn't ask me how my food was so I didn't bother to tell them but the potatoes, bacon, sausage, gravy were cold and therefore not enjoyable although I believe it would have been if it was at least below room temperature.

Great location!! Right above Peachtree MARTA station (toward Ellis St/the library). We took the the Red line from/to the airport to/from the hotel. We didn't have to mess with getting a rental car at the airport. Only 15 minutes walk northwest to Georgia Aquarium, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Centennial Olympic Park... 1 minute walk south to Georgia State and many eateries to get a quick bite. 2 minutes walk north to The Mall at Peachtree station for more eateries. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance or a quick train/bus ride away (the Botanical Garden). The staff was all great from doormen to housekeeping. A special thank to Nicole for letting us borrowed her own umbrella. Without it, we would have been soaking soaking wet. Bathroom was clean, nice and bathrobes and slippers were provided. Bed was big, comfortable. We had a great stay at the Ellis! We are looking forward to stay here again on our next trip.

it was fine but not great. room was small and not as clean as i would have liked. i was in the area for a conference and should have stayed where my conference was. i like to try out boutique hotels, b&b's, etc., but this didn't fit that mold, despite calling themselves a boutique hotel. i will say the staff was unbelievably friendly and kind.

perfect location in downtown atlanta

Members of the staff, from the valet and receptionist to the Bistro staff, were pleasant and helpful. Dinner in the Bistro was excellent, as was the buffet breakfast. The Ellis is easy to get to, and is a good base for downtown meetings.
