The house was decorated nicely and was clean. I deducted a point because the house is not truly handicap accessible. Unfortunately, my husband’s sister, who was so looking forward to attending her brother’s birthday celebration, was unable to attend, because she would have been limited to staying downstairs in the basement bedroom area or in the cold game room (it’s their garage and it is not heated) away from where everyone else was gathered. Unfortunately, we learned about their “wheelchair accessibility” after our arrival.Also, the host needs to be more honest about vehicle spaces for celebrations instead of advising guests that they should have had their party size carpool after the fact. The street is not conducive to on street parking; it is too narrow, and vehicles speed up and down the street making safety a concern. If you have a party size of about 40 guests, I would highly recommend asking some to carpool; otherwise, it’s a nice property to host larger groups who are visiting from out of town or for intimate celebrations, as long as you don’t have anyone in a wheelchair who is not able to climb stairs.
