If you are looking for a small hotel with modest prices close to the Plaka, Acropolis Ami Boutique hotel is a good fit. The hotel was well maintained and the staff was very helpful and friendly. If you like a hotel room similar in size to American standards this is not the hotel for you. Rooms, including bathrooms are tiny. We very much enjoyed the roof deck where we had dinner, cocktails and breakfast - with a view of the Acropolis!

The hotel was everything I was looking for in my athens holidays. Quiet, clean and the perfect location for me. I was able to take a short walk to the metro and two stops and I was in the square. The buffet breakfast with a view was delicious. The only way to start the day. At night on return I would sit on my balcony and enjoy a drink and take in the neighbourhood while looking up at Acropolis.

I would stay here again. It's a short walk to Plaka, which is my favorite neighborhood. The staff went out of their way to be polite, and this is not always the case in Athens, especially with a lot of stressed-out Athenians these days. I loved the room, too, and the breakfast was great, especially for a Greek breakfast (Americans like a hearty meal!) The one thing a little difficult about the hotel is that its exact location takes some figuring out since it is a bit tucked behind the block you're expecting, but if you're good with maps and picking out markers, you can do it. Also, the Metro is right by it, but it's not the exact railcar you might expect it's just as good, but I wasn't sure I was on the right whatever it was. This place is worth it. The bathroom was one of the better ones, shower-wise.

The hotel was great for the money. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The room was small even for European standards. It wasn't much bigger then the double bed. But we were not in the room much. We spent our time walking around the Acropolis and the plaka area, enjoyed the north side with shopping and restaurants. The location was good. I would recommend it

I booked a room here for 3 nights. I gave reception my laundry and was promised it would arrive the 3rdday. I had to book an extra night because the laundry was not available. I had to where old clothes and underwear for a day as the clothes were not back as promised. They actually gave me the runaround a couple times and I finally got my laundry at 2am the final night I was there. I am also missing my long john pants and a couple other items. Nice place... Watch out for your laundry

This hotel is exactly what it claims to be...a boutique hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are small but very clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Some other reviews list the location as a negative, but that's simply not the case. It's 1 block to the above ground tram and two stops to Syntagma Square (or a 10 minute walk). The Acropolis is a 15 minute walk. The rooftop bar is a great place to relax, with a great view of the Parthenon. There's also an amazing bakery around the corner, as well as a good local restaurant. It's not in Plakka but it's in a decent part of town

Overall this was a great hotel for my needs. The location is a bit out the beaten path but close to the metro (though at the top of a hill). There was a balcony with a view of the Acropolis as well as a rooftop bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Proximity to Parthenon a real plus, and cool neighborhoods to explore nearby, off the beaten path. Fine place, but wasn't particularly impressed by the staff or the breakfast. We were there for a 2 night stopover- it was fine, not inspiring.

Clean rooms, excellent breakfast and friendly staff at this very pleasant hotel. Location is tucked away up a big hill, but very convenient to metro and tram stop. We had a cruise starting the following week. We divided our stay into 2 parts: 2 nights, mini trip to another island, then returned for 3 more nights. Acropolis Ami was wonderful in keeping part of our luggage instead of having to take it all. It was all there on our return. Felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staff was extremely helpful! Our flight was early in the morning and we originally planned on asking if we could store our bags at the hotel and go sight seeing until check in but the lady at the front desk insisted she would have a room ready for us in 15 minutes and told us to help ourselves to coffee! The bed was extremely comfortable and the view from the rooftop was great. I will be going back through athens on my way home and hope to stay night there again.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days in October 2012. The room was really clean and comfortable and the breakfast was included and had a good variety. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again!

wonderful warm, helpful staff comfy beds, great showers easy 10 minute walk to base of acropolis square great bakery at the corner rooftop view of acropolis stayed 4 days, then on my return stayed there again friends switched hotels from4 star to this one after they saw my room Thanx,P

This small boutique hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but its quite nice inside. The staff was very helpful, and spoke English quite well. The room was very small, but the bathroom was large; both were recently renovated. The included breakfast was European, tasty but not over-filling. Overall this hotel is a good value; I'd stay there again.

The Hotel is located within walking distance to the Acropolis Museum which was convenient. There is also a rooftop bar that has a nice view. This is the only thing the hotel had going for it.

Enjoy our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by Athens and our hotel. Excellent location, nice staff, beautiful view (got a room with a balcony). We'd stay again.

Acropolis Ami Boutique Hotel is a quaint hotel that, although isn't located in the center of the Athens and the monuments, is close enough that you can walk where you want in a reasonable amount of time (or take the metro station, only 1 stop away from the acropolis). The staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet is equivalent to a Greek home cooked meal. My hotel room had a view of the acropolis and the cleanliness of the room was good.

My husband and I only had one night in Athens, and wanted to stay within walking distance of the Acropolis. Although our room did not had a view of the Acropolis, you could go to the top floor of the hotel and enjoy an excellent view. The hotel staff was friendly, the rooms small, but clean. We were able to catch the metro to the airport only a 5 minute walk away.

we only stayed two nights. because of the taxi strike we had a horrible trip TO the hotel, but once we arrived the night receptionist was very kind and helpful, made sure the taxi we did manage to find didn't rob us, and even offered us a beer to take the edge off. the hotel lobby and rooms are very well air conditioned. and, it has to be said, THE BEDS ARE AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE. seriously. we slept until noon. perhaps this is why we did not get maid service, haha. if you want someplace within walking distance to the acropolis, good value for money, where you can plop down into a glorious cloud of a bed after a day's sightseeing, this is a good place. if you don't fork over the extra 30 euros for an acropolis view, the room view is nothing special[but who cares when you can go to the roof and chill], and the bathrooms are as small as everywhere else in greece. the hotel is currently under construction as it is brand new; this was not a noise issue, but a functional one - loose odds and ends here and there in the room, and our bathroom didn't have a shower curtain or door, but this was actually preferred as we could then shower in comfort and a bit more space. the lighting in the room was nice, the tv was set to an auto-dim when you turned the lights out, and the room comes with a safe. when the rooftop bar is finished and opened, it will be amazing; until then you can BYO and sit atop with an amazing view at night. finally, the breakfast was quite good compared to others we'd had, with freshly juiced OJ and chocolate crepes among other things. the day receptionists also deserve a mention for being knowledgeable and helpful with regard to travel and tourist info. the hotel is located on a very small street--just walk around the agios pandeleimonias church and walk up the ramp.

This beautiful, affordable hotel is a few blocks from the Plaka and near a tram line, but on a quiet residential street. The included breakfast was the best we had in Greece, including fresh made chocolate filled crepes, scrambled eggs, and a variety of pastries as well as cheese, cold cuts, cereal, and fruits. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Newly renovated, the lobby is beautiful, as are the rooms. We visited museums, took the tram to the beach, and shopped.
