Stayed the week of March 24th - 29th. Great experience, awesome condo with loft that had it's own full bathroom as well as a Queen and a twin bed. Downstairs had a bedroom with a King and full bathroom. Kitchen had every appliance and silverware you can think of, as well as a fireplace and and outdoor patio with a gas BBQ. I think we used everything, from the oven, toaster, blender, microwave, BBQ... all were in working condition. The management and staff were so helpful with a "Right away" attitude. We never had to wait for anything besides the shuttle bus which runs so often, so not a big deal. And if you don't want to wait, the staff at Crestwood were usually available to take us somewhere as long as one of their vans were available. The outdoor pool and Hot Tubs were a nice touch! And we love the Ski in / Ski out. No question that this is the place we will return to when our travel plans bring us back to the Aspen / Snowmass area.
Stayed at the crestwood for 6 nights in January with my husband and 3 kids -16, 12, 11. The guys at the ski rental shop could not have been more helpful or friendly. They catered to my family the whole time. It was also so nice to ski in and out right from the ski shop, and then walk about 100 feet to our condo door. The guys that worked in the condo guest services were also wonderful. They were happy to help with any request, and the free shuttle service was so great to go get groceries. My only complaint about the condo was the internet. My kids would not want to go back there because of it. We were in a corner condo and they said it was a condo that didn’t get great WiFi. They tried to create a dedicated access point for us, but it never really got better.
We last stayed here about 10 years ago and loved the ease of ski in/out so booked again (didn't remember anything negative). Based on stays elsewhere in the US (we're Brits) we booked a deluxe studio, assuming we'd have enough space to relax. We should have investigated the room sizes and quality before we booked (would have booked elsewhere). The unit was tiny, front door straight into the one small room downstairs; a reasonable sized kitchen, overall looked dated. There were narrow spiral stairs to a small bedroom, with a low double bed - I was nervous I might fall down in the night, and anyone not so fit would struggle with the stairs (and definitely not child friendly). We had several problems with equipment, TV not working (took several attempts to resolve), toaster burning one side and not cooking the other, and bizarrely a ski condo with only enough hot water for one bath - needs to heat up again to do the second bath! Unit was supposed to sleep 4.... We were opposite the pool, so it was often noisy and we had to keep the blinds shut to avoid being overlooked. Added to the dark living room. Ski store was useful - as others not keen on leaving my new boots on the warmed store. Overnight ski service was cheap. Apparently there are only a couple of these units, but strongly recommend you don't book one.
The location for ski in ski out was fantastic. We had Unit 1118, and we could literally ski in to the back door of our condo. It is right next to the bridge that takes you down to the Village Express and Elk Camp Gondola. The ski in ski out aspect is perfect. The condos are nice, but a little small and would of loved a larger pool/hot tub area for us and the kids. Snowmass, itself is a great mountain with a lot to offer for all ski levels. I wish the village was a little more developed and convenient. We rented from Christy’s, that was a mistake. I would definitely recommend renting from on site place and spend the extra money. Hiking the equipment to the mall area was a bit much. Overall, Crestwood was nice, but I would probably try and find something over on the mall side, which has more restaurants and things to do.
Our group stayed here for a week while skiing the resorts in the area. The Crestwood has a great location. While most units are not directly ski-in/ski-out, the slopes are just at the end of the parking lot and there's even a small ski storage building where you can also rent skis if you like. Some of our group even left their boots there overnight and left their street shoes there while they were skiing. Another convenient aspect is that the Snowmass Village Shuttle has a stop right on the property so you don't even have to walk to the street. There's a small indoor waiting area for those cold and snowy days too. The parking lot is heated so even if it snows a lot while you're there, it will melt soon enough. The condos are in a hilly area and the actual street in that part of the village is NOT heated so be sure your vehicle will be able to handle the snowy roads if you stay here. If your condo is on the first or second floor you'll just have to climb (or descend) a half-flight of stairs to get to it which made it fairly easy to navigate. Each condo has a ski locker outside its door though I found it amusing that the instructions were to deposit a quarter to be able to take the key with you. Since we left our skis at the ski check by the slopes, we just used this closet for our ski poles and didn't bother to lock it. As each condo is independently owned, the decor varies from unit to unit. Ours had a strong cowboy theme. The master bedroom was quite large and had a love seat with ottoman beside the king sized bed. By contrast the master bath was quite compact and I couldn't help but think I'd have like to have traded some of the extra room in the bedroom for some more space in the bathroom. Off the hall was a doorway with a pocket door. Just inside that to the left was the sink and beyond that, behind another door was the shower/tub and the toilet. To the right inside the pocket door was the second bedroom with its own door. So it was a nice combinations of doors where you could have privacy in some areas while making other areas available to a roommate. At least one of our group's condo's did not have the pocket door which meant little privacy in moving between the bedroom and the shower. Some of our group's condos had free-standing islands to separate the kitchen from the living area but ours just had a large, wide countertop. There were four barstools on the living room side and that served as our dining area. We really only ate breakfast there so it wasn't an issue. We did see a small table tucked away on the side but the living room furniture was so large that I'm not sure where we could have put it so that all four of us could have used it at the same time. There's a gas fireplace that is controlled by the thermostat, which was a nice touch, and a large TV mounted over it. I wish there had been a small hearth as that's always a great place to dry gloves, etc. after a snowy day. The kitchen had a fair selection of pots & pans, all that we needed for our group, at any rate. The toiletries were by Lord & Mayfair and while they mostly worked OK, I really didn't care for the scent at all. Much too perfume-y. The lotion was so runny I didn't even bother using it. Downstairs from the front desk is a workout room with a few aerobic devices and a universal set. There is also a steam room and if you want to get a massage, that room is downstairs as well and the front desk can help you make those arrangements. On the same level as the front desk is the pool and a couple of hot tubs. That felt great on aching muscles each day. The condos all have robes provided so just wear that for the trek from your condo and use the towels provided near the pool. If you have a group and need a large meeting place, there's a room on the second floor, above the front desk, available for a fee. The folks at the front desk were terrific and so helpful, especially since our group arrived much later than planned due to the weather. They even helped us bring our luggage back from the airport once it arrived the next day. The Crestwood has a fantastic location - convenient to the slopes and convenient to the shuttle (and they even have their own private shuttle that can take you where you need to be). I'd be happy to stay here again next time I'm in Snowmass.
Enjoyed two weeks of snow adventures at the Crestwood Condos. Our room 3313 is an updated end unit on the third floor with Gondola slope views. The wrap around deck was perfect for down valley views and mountain sky views. The kitchen was well equipped and we had plenty of fluffy white towels, nice linens and a warm inviting fireplace to warm up in front of after our outdoor activities. The hot tub was especially nice after a day on the slopes. The gym is small, but adequately stretch out and the sauna is a relaxing finish to the day. The staff at the front desk are more than happy to help you with any questions or make recommendations. The Crestwood has a free lift via van or SUV to get you around Snowmass Village, over to the market or other places in Snowmass. Also a free airport shuttle ride into Aspen. All in all this was a perfect spot to use as home base for our mountain adventures.
We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Deluxe Condo. Master bedroom was of a nice size with a big window and nice view. 2nd bedroom was very small towards the carpark. No room to open your suitcase on the floor, no room for a chair. A bit noisy at night. I had the chance to visit a Deluxe 1 Bedroom Loft overlooking the ski slopes....Beautiful, modern perfect for a family with kids using the beds in the Loft. Great resort shuttle taking you to and from the village. 5 min. walk to the Gondola.
The Condo's are in a great location and convenient to the base village. Being able to walk to the end of the complex and ski down to the Gondola or base was excellent. We did not utilise the boot storage, though we did leave ski's there overnight. It would be good to have an option to not have heated boot warmers (we have moulded inner soles that are heat sensitive). We found the staff generally OK but nothing special. Sometimes felt like an intrusion to ask for something. Being able to get shopping delivered was excellent, though there were some mistakes made, and it wasn't documented what was or wasn't delivered. Also the process could be made more clear online as there was inconsistency when we asked staff of the process. Excellent to have the hot tubs, great to get into those each day. Laundry facilities were OK - didn't have many issues with availability, though one was broken for the time we were there. Our room which was the Deluxe 2 bedroom, very nice with what we needed. Beds were lovely, big and comfortable. WiFi was not good and suggest that something is done to fix it, and also the drainage in the shower/bathrooms was not great.
Overall, works for the skier. The units have on older (less light) footprint and vary a lot from unit-to-unit. The kitchen have more cooking stuff than most, and are good sized. The staff goes overboard to help whenever they can. Free shuttle to the restaurants in the Snowmass area or to the bus to Aspen. Just call them. Know that the fireplaces are set to the thermostat in the unit (odd, yeah) so they turn on a lot. I had a unit that was twenty steps from the Ski concierge, others places up higher with better light. Ask them when you book.
Flying in to the Aspen airport our complementary Crestwood shuttle arrived and whisked us to our condo. The driver helped my family with all our luggage, to the third floor, with a smile on his face. The groceries we had pre ordered, another Crestwood service, including beer and wine, was delivered prior to our arrival. The front desk was very friendly and professional. There is a gym, pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi's throughout the complex. Daily housekeeping was fantastic, and the ski rental facility, also great friendly service, topped off this ski in ski out location. A short walk down the hill was the village with great restaurants and apre's ski libations! Great stay and really great friendly and accommodating staff!!
