The Crestwood Condominiums

I recently traveled into Aspen and stayed two nights at the Crestwood Condominiums which is approximately 12 minutes from the Aspen International Airport nestled up in Snowmass CO. The check in staff was very nice and had rooms ready to go. For those arriving after 11pm be advised that the front desk does close and a pick up of your key will need to be arranged. The room was very clean and the views and balcony on the back deck was great. As I was staying in the summer time the pool was very inviting and the evening breeze with windows open was great to sleep with. It's about a 5 minute drive or similar walk up to the Mall which has many outdoor shops, and restaurants. The Crestwood does not have a restaurant or any type of food on site which if you're arriving after a long trip can be a bit challenging. Almost everything in the summer closes by 10pm and there wasn't even pizza to order nearby. The hotel is limited with vending machines however the rooms are equipped with full kitchens and the ability to stock up food for a longer stay and some planning. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help me with some printing needs and also offered free pick up to any local venues or restaurants nearby. I'd certainly consider returning for a longer stay in the future.

A July 4th trip over the Continental divide to hike up Maroon Bells. We stayed over night here. The facility was clean, parking was convenient. Registration was easy and friendly. It is conveniently located on the mountain side providing mountain views, shopping and ski lifts.

Here's The Re-Cap: We booked a Premier one bedroom. When we arrived we were escorted to our room, which was okay, but, certainly did not "show" like the Premier units I had seen on their webpage or on Tripadvisor. The master bathroom was the main reason I spoke up. The Premier website photos had nice, recently updated large walk in showers and some even had garden tubs. The master tub in this "Premier" unit had a steel shower/tub combo, and the master bath was noticeably smaller than "as advertised". As was the kitchen. I asked "Is this a Premier Room"? The staff member helping us said he believed so, but, to give him a few minutes to double check at the front desk. When he returned he informed us that it was a Premier Room, and that since all the condo units are individually owned they have a 3rd Party Company that comes in and ranks them (Standard, Deluxe, Premier). As a result, he confided that the units vary/differ quite a bit, and that it is very common for guests to question their accommodations. He then proactively helped us out. He invited us to the front desk to see if any other Premier rooms were available. He put us in 2 Bedroom Premier Corner Unit with a wrap around balcony. Just as advertised! Large master bath, walk in shower, garden tub, large kitchen. The front desk and staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we were happy/satisfied with our accommodations. Good news for us! Here's the bad news for you (possibly) if you go during the peak season/winter months I imagine they will not have the same flexibility to move guests around. So, until their 3rd Party Rating Service is perhaps more consistent or their website photos change to include photos of room inconsistencies, I doubt our experience will be the last. We had family in a deluxe room- which was nice/okay. We had family in a standard room- which is for college students on a budget We had family members order food/groceries/drinks before their arrival, THE STAFF had it all loaded in their unit for them prior to their arrival. Awesome! The grounds are beautiful, the staff is exceptional, the location is great. All in all....great trip, fun had by all. Thank You Crestwood Staff

I stayed here for week with my ski club in Feb. 2017. There were 70 of us from a Bay Area ski club. It's ski in/out access to Snowmass mountain. The condos were nice with a great location. The staff was very helpful with most requests. Including grocery shopping & shuttle service after dinner from Snowmass Village. I would stay here again when I return to Snowmass.

Though we weren't exactly sure what location we wanted, this ended up being a great spot! Practically ski in/ski out, you were simply across the street from the bottom of the run -- even closer than many places in town. The interior finishes to our condo were modern, though not impressively up-to-date. I found there was ample space in the kitchen/living area, and appreciated that the sink was outside of the bathroom/shower (e.g. you can brush your teeth while your friend is showering). Though lower Snowmass has a handful of great dining options, this location is definitely ideal for those who place emphasis on accessibility to the slopes, over other amenities (restaurants, spas, grocery store, etc). It had multiple pools and hot tubs, as well as an on-site spot to pick up ski rentals. I would definitely return again soon.

I'm reluctant to give Crestwood too good of a review, as I will definitely will be going back and don't want too many people to know if this gem of a place, but heh i just can't help it. Firstly the booking and check in process was exemplary; we booked a package and it was a great deal with lift passes and ski equipment included. I communicated with them before we arrived to ensure we received exactly what we wanted, and they came through with everything. Nothing was a problem for the staff before and during our stay. The location is fantastic, a true ski in/out place with great amenities and the ski rental place on site is ideal with professional and extremely helpful staff. The pool and spa area is excellent, and the apartment itself was well fitted out and ideal for the 3 of us. We had such a great time in Snowmass that we will be going back for sure, i can't wait.

This was our third stay at the CC. The access to the slopes is perfection. We loved that we were right on them but just slightly away from the village. What really sets CC apart is the customer service. The staff is absolutely incredible. Consistently accommodating and pleasant. When we asked for logs they were then right away. Each time we called in to the office the staff was friendly and helpful. It is such a treat to be treated so well. Downsides to our unit was a tricky heating situation. We couldn't quite get that right but all you had to do was crack a door or window. We will definitely stay here next time!

Extremely disappointed with our apartment and the staff. The apartment had various problems including plumbing issues, lack of appropriate kitchen utensils, lack of basic kitchen cleaning products, basic sugar, tea and coffee. No access to basic cable TV channels, very slow internet, no dining table just a kitchen benchtop (2 bedroom apartment for 4 people really needs a dining table), no vacuum cleaner and cleaning staff did not vacuum. Staff were generally not helpful or interested in service. Certain issues were pointed out to staff but nothing was done to resolve those issues. The above items are not trivial when an apartment costs $6000 for a week. I work for a similar condo in our ski area in Australia and all the above items plus friendly helpful service is included during your stay. Definitely need to lift your game Crestwood! Good features were close proximity to village and restaurants and lifts and the hot spa pools. If you want service with a smile Steamboat is a far better alternative!

This was my 2nd trip to Snowmass & to Crestwood. Unfortunately the standards at Crestwood have fallen dramatically since my last visit 1 year ago. This is a real shame as Crestwood has some great features including a great position with ski in / ski out access, easy village shuttle access, great pool & spa area & great skier services. These good features are let down by a poor attitude towards guests, poor standards in cleanliness & no followup on maintenance issues. Our room was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a very small lounge room & no dining room. The kitchen was just adequate, but cleaning it was both necessary & difficult. On our arrival we noticed dirty cutlery, crockery & other kitchen utensils. There were also clothes from a prior guest left in a bedroom drawer & when we contacted guest services to ask for the clothing to be removed, we were told "we will come & get them if they're in your way". No apologies for poor housekeeping & no offer to come & check the room for other problems. We decided to do the kitchen cleaning ourselves, but that was difficult with only tepid water, no bench cleaning product, no rubber gloves & no scourer or brush to wash the dirty pots & pans. Also extremely disappointing & disturbing was the musty smelling pillows, stained bedding & poorly maintained plumbing. We stayed in 2207 & the public access door beside the entrance to our condo is missing something allowing the door to slam violently, so violently that it shakes the wall behind the bed & therefore the bed, not a lot of fun at midnight & 1am! We were determined to put these issues behind us & enjoy our stay, so we settled down to use the ridiculously slow internet & poor quality tv. I have contacted Crestwood & hope that they take my criticism seriously & fix these problems because as I have said, there are some very positive aspects to Crestwood. Snowmass mountain is a fabulous place to ski & has some great restaurants. An absolute must is Gwynn's Alpine Restaurant for full a la carte breakfast!

We spent a week in a two bedroom condo at Crestwood. Great position for ski in ski out access to the joys of the Snowmass slopes. An easy walk to the the lower village and on the little gondola up to the upper village, plenty of dining options. The supermarket is about 700meters away so easy to get to as well. The shuttle crew were always on hand and always smiling, good bunch of fellows. Fully equipped so making a decent breakfast at home was easy. The ski and boot storage place was handy and accommodating.
