The suites here are excellent - really nicely decorated and in a beautiful setting. We were very impressed. It was quiet, got a good nights sleep and enjoyed it a lot. It's located right in Snowmass which is an interesting place, if a bit out of the way for a summer stay.
We recently spend 3 days at Crestwood, enjoying a four generation family reunion. Guests ranged from 90.5 to 0.5 years old and all did well at Crestwood. The residential units are spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful plantings and lawns. The pool and spas were well utilized. We paid for the use of a common room for large family meals. The staff were extremely accommodating of our needs and requests. Snowmass, Aspen and the surrounding area are a fantastic tourist destination at this time of year.
We booked a one bedroom with a loft condo for the Colorado Scottish Festival weekend. It had plenty of space for our family and our kids loved the loft bedroom. It was a pleasant surprise that the loft bedroom also had it's own bathroom. The kitchen was small, but had beautiful countertops and appliances and was well stocked with kitchenware and dinnerware. The condo unit felt very clean and the grounds were beautiful. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, too. I highly recommend a stay here if you are going to Snowmass.
We were amazed at the value in the condominium we rented for just one night: sitting room, kitchen, 2 en-suite bedrooms and a balcony with barbecue. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Although there is no on-site restaurant, there is a free (OK, with tip), on-demand shuttle to the nearby village, where there are several good restaurants. I woould recommend this establishment highly to couples and especially to families.
I recently traveled into Aspen and stayed two nights at the Crestwood Condominiums which is approximately 12 minutes from the Aspen International Airport nestled up in Snowmass CO. The check in staff was very nice and had rooms ready to go. For those arriving after 11pm be advised that the front desk does close and a pick up of your key will need to be arranged. The room was very clean and the views and balcony on the back deck was great. As I was staying in the summer time the pool was very inviting and the evening breeze with windows open was great to sleep with. It's about a 5 minute drive or similar walk up to the Mall which has many outdoor shops, and restaurants. The Crestwood does not have a restaurant or any type of food on site which if you're arriving after a long trip can be a bit challenging. Almost everything in the summer closes by 10pm and there wasn't even pizza to order nearby. The hotel is limited with vending machines however the rooms are equipped with full kitchens and the ability to stock up food for a longer stay and some planning. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help me with some printing needs and also offered free pick up to any local venues or restaurants nearby. I'd certainly consider returning for a longer stay in the future.
A July 4th trip over the Continental divide to hike up Maroon Bells. We stayed over night here. The facility was clean, parking was convenient. Registration was easy and friendly. It is conveniently located on the mountain side providing mountain views, shopping and ski lifts.
Here's The Re-Cap: We booked a Premier one bedroom. When we arrived we were escorted to our room, which was okay, but, certainly did not "show" like the Premier units I had seen on their webpage or on Tripadvisor. The master bathroom was the main reason I spoke up. The Premier website photos had nice, recently updated large walk in showers and some even had garden tubs. The master tub in this "Premier" unit had a steel shower/tub combo, and the master bath was noticeably smaller than "as advertised". As was the kitchen. I asked "Is this a Premier Room"? The staff member helping us said he believed so, but, to give him a few minutes to double check at the front desk. When he returned he informed us that it was a Premier Room, and that since all the condo units are individually owned they have a 3rd Party Company that comes in and ranks them (Standard, Deluxe, Premier). As a result, he confided that the units vary/differ quite a bit, and that it is very common for guests to question their accommodations. He then proactively helped us out. He invited us to the front desk to see if any other Premier rooms were available. He put us in 2 Bedroom Premier Corner Unit with a wrap around balcony. Just as advertised! Large master bath, walk in shower, garden tub, large kitchen. The front desk and staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we were happy/satisfied with our accommodations. Good news for us! Here's the bad news for you (possibly) if you go during the peak season/winter months I imagine they will not have the same flexibility to move guests around. So, until their 3rd Party Rating Service is perhaps more consistent or their website photos change to include photos of room inconsistencies, I doubt our experience will be the last. We had family in a deluxe room- which was nice/okay. We had family in a standard room- which is for college students on a budget We had family members order food/groceries/drinks before their arrival, THE STAFF had it all loaded in their unit for them prior to their arrival. Awesome! The grounds are beautiful, the staff is exceptional, the location is great. All in all....great trip, fun had by all. Thank You Crestwood Staff
I stayed here for week with my ski club in Feb. 2017. There were 70 of us from a Bay Area ski club. It's ski in/out access to Snowmass mountain. The condos were nice with a great location. The staff was very helpful with most requests. Including grocery shopping & shuttle service after dinner from Snowmass Village. I would stay here again when I return to Snowmass.
Though we weren't exactly sure what location we wanted, this ended up being a great spot! Practically ski in/ski out, you were simply across the street from the bottom of the run -- even closer than many places in town. The interior finishes to our condo were modern, though not impressively up-to-date. I found there was ample space in the kitchen/living area, and appreciated that the sink was outside of the bathroom/shower (e.g. you can brush your teeth while your friend is showering). Though lower Snowmass has a handful of great dining options, this location is definitely ideal for those who place emphasis on accessibility to the slopes, over other amenities (restaurants, spas, grocery store, etc). It had multiple pools and hot tubs, as well as an on-site spot to pick up ski rentals. I would definitely return again soon.
I'm reluctant to give Crestwood too good of a review, as I will definitely will be going back and don't want too many people to know if this gem of a place, but heh i just can't help it. Firstly the booking and check in process was exemplary; we booked a package and it was a great deal with lift passes and ski equipment included. I communicated with them before we arrived to ensure we received exactly what we wanted, and they came through with everything. Nothing was a problem for the staff before and during our stay. The location is fantastic, a true ski in/out place with great amenities and the ski rental place on site is ideal with professional and extremely helpful staff. The pool and spa area is excellent, and the apartment itself was well fitted out and ideal for the 3 of us. We had such a great time in Snowmass that we will be going back for sure, i can't wait.
