Modern Hideaway 10 Minute Walk to Downtown Asheville / South Slope

The Crows Nest 2.0 is a green home built in 2018 that was designed to provide a private and comfortable getaway space in the lower portion of our home for guest of all backgrounds. This space has a private entrance to come and go with ease. Guests have access to the entire lower suite of the house. Energy efficiency and modern features allow our guests to make the most of their experience in Asheville and the surrounding areas while treading lightly on the environment and local resources.

Justin and Autum live and work upstairs. Both are professionals in the community and deeply involved in the outdoor recreation, health/wellness and music community and happy to share their tips and suggestions with guests.

Your space is a private lower-level section of the house with a private entrance. It includes two bedrooms with queen beds, a 14 x 20 main room, and ceiling fans in each room. One room has a closet for storage, while the other has easy access to the bathroom.

A full private bathroom stocked with TP, shampoo, soap, a hairdryer, and fresh towels.

The guest living space includes a big comfy sectional couch and an HD projector for a cinematic experience. Enjoy your favorite music, movies, and shows via Apple TV, which provides access to Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Amazon apps. And games galore!

The beverage/breakfast bar has coffee, tea, water, an electric kettle, a coffee maker, a microwave, a mini fridge, and snacks to get your day going.

Bike, kayak, and S.U.P. storage are available upon request. We also have a Mountain Bike washing station available and can provide maps of Pisgah for all our guests.

We have two dogs, Cedar & Willo, who may bark from our space above when you arrive. They do not have access to the hosting space while guests are staying.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchenette and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with Netflix. Other standard amenities include a coffee maker, an ironing board, and a desk.

FANTASTIC time

Great spot to visit Asheville. 5 minute Uber ride downtown. Or 15 minute walk. Place is quiet, clean and perfect if you want to explore Asheville all day and head back and relax, sleep and do it again. Highly recommend. Will be back!

Crows Nest 2.0 was lovely. Plenty of room, easy access to all parts of Asheville, very nice Host, comfy bed, loved the projector TV and onsite parking. We enjoyed Burial (both locations), Wicked Weed and White Lab for dinner, Botiwalla, Indian Street Food in W Asheville, a Cottage Cooking Class, Bob Dylan at Harrahs and Yonder Mountain String Band at Salvage Station - stopped at Hot Springs Resort and Spa on the way into town for a mineral hot tub experience overlooking the French Broad River - hiked at Dupont State park - land of the waterfalls - one of our best trips yet to Asheville

This property was exactly as listed. The best part was that it was in a safe neighborhood where we could easily walk to restaurants and shops within 10 or 15 minutes. It was a comfort to have a safe place to park the car. The host book inside was very helpful and the projector tv setup with the large couch was excellent for our small group of 3. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Architectural gem, tucked into hillside. Walkable to downtown.

I’m a fan of net zero homes, efficient design and long term durability. This is a custom home and was a parade home when built in 2018. My wife was so excited to be within walking distance of shopping and dining. We had such fun exploring on foot, trying a variety breweries and restaurants. We also drove to Linville Falls about 1 hr away and enjoyed hiking to various lookout points. Great pictures from falls shared with friends. The accommodations for guests are all on the first floor. We were impressed with extremely clean and modern guest spaces. Home projector was a nice upgrade vs others. Well stocked for carefree stay!!

July visit

Visiting from California for a wedding. I’ll admit that this was not our first choice (first choice sold a few months before our arrival), but fate landed us here and we were so glad! Easy access to Asheville restaurants and pubs, etc. We had the best surprise early one morning as we watched a mama bear and her four cubs walk along the beautiful front yard. Highly recommend.

The lower-level apartment of this one-of-a-kind house has everything you need. The hosts make your arrival and stay as private as you want it to be and if we didn't meet them by accident, we wouldn't have known how nice and accommodating they are in-person. The high-ceilings, concrete floors, & simplicity give it a clean & new feel and appearance. The exterior is super cool almost completely designed and created by local artisans. Check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier.

The property was perfect for our needs. Just three of us felt at home and comfortable. The proximity to the city was perfect for us as walkers. We could enjoy the city without the stress of parking. It helped that the weather was perfect, too! The hosts live upstairs but their lives did not interfere with our visit. All in all, it was a very good experience.
