Outdated, which is fine but when the carpet is filthy beyond cleaning and the room window could be pushed in with not much force and there is no safety latch on the door, I can't give it excellent. Staff was really nice and breakfast was great. Safety was a little sketch.

The facility was clean, pretty, and well kept. The pool was closed for the stay. The pet fee was higher than what was listed on Expedia, receptionist said they raised their rates. I asked for late check out and was told it would be 1 pm and that there was an extra fee which i agreed to pay, but then when it was time for regular check out staff was knocking and calling me to see if i was going to leave at 1110. The restaurant on site was very good and there is a good range of options for the included hot breakfast.

Pleasant Surprise!

Spent a weekend in Artesia to visit my little brother and it was such a relief to be able to find a last minute hotel like the Comfort Inn! Walking in I immediately was drawn to the decor and then when we met the Front Desk Receptionist, Amanda, I was so happy. My husband is a man of a few words but he felt comfortable and enjoyed the conversation we had with Amanda! She was so sweet and relatable. It felt so good having that amazing interaction and the room location was also amazing. We had the pool all to ourselves for about an hour. The pool room was very clean, stocked with towels, and very neat. Our room was clean, fully stocked, and just what we were looking for. We slept so well, even better than we did at the Air B&B we had the previous few nights! But what really just completely caught me off guard and left us in awe, was the Breakfast Buffet Bar!!! That was honestly the BEST breakfast we've ever had at a hotel! I can definitely say that we will be back and we made sure to add this specific hotel in Artesia, NM to our Favorites on our Google maps!!

To start, made reservations 3 and a half months in advance for a king bed and was told it was’t available which would have been a deal breaker (at any hotel) if I would have known. The carpet in our room was extremely wet for the entire stay! I assume it was shampooed which left a musty smell. Trash truck 6:00 in the morning right outside our window. The security latch on the outside door completely inop with the wires just hanging there. Bathroom sink fixture very loose and the fan would come on for 30 seconds and shut off. Lighting over the sink very dim not good at all especially for women. No light available in the entryway of the bedroom. Bath towels extremely old and thin. Cleaner used for the floors made them quite slippery! No air conditioning in the atrium area. Unfinished stucco around a couple outside windows. The lounge area is closed and never open to have somewhere to just sit and relax with a cocktail. Won’t stay here again and definitely would not recommend to anyone.
