Casa de Dos Alamos is an absolutely beautiful home; it was as if we were staying at our own very private resort. We had a party of six (five adults and a 3 y/o), and the three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms was essential. Almost every detail was attended to.
The house is situated on a private dirt road but readily accessible otherwise. It is clearly marked and easy to find on Maps. It was very warm in the area (late July) but the house remained at a comfortable temperature. Every night there was a wonderful breeze; I was hoping for that, being so close to the canyon leading to Taos Ski Valley. The last night it rained! Wonderful!
Each bedroom is well appointed; two masters with en-suite bathroom, and a third bedroom with full size (queen size?) bunks and adjacent half bath. Laundry room and two-car garage, gorgeous, high-end dream kitchen with walk-in pantry, and huge living area with extra deep-seated leather furniture. The only things I could have wished for were an iron (there was an ironing board but no iron), and a wall-mounted makeup mirror. Lovely windows and doors, most with screens so that they could be opened to let in the cooler air, and honeycomb window coverings. We couldn't find the trash bags at first but communication with the property manager resolved that. Overall, a wonderful, relaxing, perfect stay in Taos area. If you choose this place, you will not be disappointed!
