Entrance to property is from Cemetary Rd, not the hotel address. From the outside the property is not appealing, but staff were great, room was spacious, clean and good beds for sleeping. Relaxed and informal continental breakfast - basically go to the fridge and make your own from what’s in there. A good stop for the night.

Clean comfortable room, friendly staff, decent cold breakfast. Note the desk is only open 8-8 and when we called they said late check in can be by getting keys at the bar, neglected to mention that’s only open till 10pm. Thankfully we made it just before that.

One door from inside hallway and one door right outside to parked car! Staff very friendly and accommodating! Free continental breakfast, but also full dining options if you wanted to eat all meals in their dining room. Bar prices were not expensive and they offered free laundry facilities!

The room and common rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. It would be perfect for someone working in the area who wasn’t looking for picturesque and was happy with the basics. Travelling as a senior couple there were some issues : there was no hair dryer, there weren’t enough electrical outlets to recharge our hearing aids and phone without unplugging lamps and moving the bed, and we had to ask for glasses (which the kitchen staff were happy to supply). The lamp on the desk didn’t have a lightbulb so it was hard to see when we were checking our maps before leaving.

We changed to another room right away because the door to the outside was not closing properly. The second room was ok but the TV did not work and we had to unplug it anyways in order to use the coffee machine. The receptionist told us the complimentary breakfast starts at 8 am but when we arrived at 9am there was absolutely nobody around. I guess it was due to the fact that it was Sunday and the kitchen apparently opens at 10 am. Avoid this Inn if you are able to drive another hour to St. John’s.
