Nice view of river. Perfect size kitchenette and supplies, comfy mattress and bedding and bathroom supplies. Nice screened balcony. Only negative and unfortunately it was significant. It smelled like wet dog in living room. The area rug has got to be replaced. We had to cover the couch with a blanket because it smelled and felt dirty. We also had to keep balcony door open whenever we sat to watch tv and fan on to get the smell out.
Location is unique. Well appointed. Lobby is closed until 8am

Wonderful location and views of the waterway. Very comfortable sleeping quarters. We all know how a "bad mattress" day or week can ruin an otherwise pleasurable experience. The staff is very attentive to detail and any concerns. A nice size private pool area away from the normal wind direction so only a light breeze filters through. Somewhat limited seating in some rooms so choose what you need for room size family wisely. The screened in terrace is great for relaxing or even casual dining out doors. A wonderful choice when visiting and touring the Apalachicola area. Only a block or two away from the historic Orman House with guided or self styled tours. And the shops, cafes, raw bars and more just steps away. Really . .. all in walking distance of the Water Street Hotel & Marina.

Birthday trip for 67 year old wife and husband. Seafood and relax. Look at potential rental property on St George Island for a week during the summer at the beach; Great community. Quaint shops and many restaurant choices.
Stayed here several times years ago. Was a beautiful hotel. Now it is run down, broken and warn out. Obviously no effort to keep this place up. Will never stay here again.
Nice hotel, best place to stay in Apalach. Watch out for lots of fire ants on the grounds and in the parking lot. Had my car infested with them after parking in the lot one night. Also lots of ants (not the fire kind) on the room's screened porch/Lana I.
My husband is a private pilot and we do a lot of last minute planned trips. We we craving some of Apilachicola's oysters and found Water Street Hotel to be the perfect place to stay. Very spacious, walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and bars. Not a far drive to the beach at St George's Island. Very nice staff and a super comfy bed. We will be back!
The staff are very friendly. We dealt with 3 different people and everyone of them was great. Room was way too much space. It was 1 master bedroom, 1 small bedroom, 2 baths, livingroom and kitchen. located off the end of town, but walking distance to everything. Enjoyed watching boats come and go. Also enjoyed talking with the people staying at the marina which is also part of the hotel. Even got a $10 coupon toward a future stay.
Water street is a wonderful hotel. This was the 4th time that I have stayed there and have never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly. Rooms are very spacious and clean.
Unfortunately, due to road conditions and delays, we didn't arrive at the hotel until 10:45pm, so it's difficultt to fairly judge the place. The clerk at the desk was very nice & helpful ( I called to advise of delays). The unit was spacious, the kitchen fully equipped and the living room--down a long hallway--would be great for a large group or big family. The bed was not the most comfortable, however.
Staff was amazing, and the rooms were enormous! Highly recommend if you are staying in apalachicola!
