I was in Anchorage bringing my daughter to college. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Northern Nights and would definitely stay here again. The rental felt spacious with lots of thoughtful amenities and details (clear signage, welcome basket, coffee basket, all the basics plus more). Nice location with a short easy drive to UAA campus. Highly recommend this rental and Nick and Sarah as hosts.

Good Place to Base From

We spent four nights here when we were taking a couple day fly in trips to Katmai and Lake Clark NPs. It worked very well for us. The location wasn’t far from the airport, the property was very clean, check in/out was super simple, and the hosts were very helpful when we asked for a couple recommendations. I’m picky, and I’d stay here again. That says it all. :-)

Very comfortable stay with everything you need provided. Our group was two friends traveling to Anchorage for the 1st time. The bedroom was large and the bed was comfy. My friend slept on the large futon and was very comfortable. Large bathroom with a good washer and dryer in there.

Nice space

I liked the neighborhood, it was quiet and easy to get to. The place was clean and neat. The hosts were awesome to rent from. I did park out front because I had a pickup and hard for me to maneuver in the alley parking. I did come through the gate and the dog did startle me when it ran at me. I would warn people there is a dog.

Super easy!

We were up there for medical so we just needed somewhere for me to rest in between appts. Good parking for the rental car, only about 5min to the medical center, beautiful plants outside, inside smelled great when we walked in. Really affordable, which is great bc my medical insurance has crap travel reimbursement. They also had stuff for kids and tourists so I think it would be a great place for those people. We come up from Juneau all the time so we didn't look through the coupon books or anything but i thought it was cool for them to have it all. Fans if you get hot, a heater if you get cold. The small leather couch looks like it folds out into a small bed. W/d if you need it. Nothing expired left in the fridge. Saw a camera out front and there are two levels of entry locks but I never felt worried nor did I ever see anyone around that might make me feel unsafe. Although I'm not a smoker, I like that they just ask to keep a certain distance. In my experience, the smoking/remnants are always more apparent in places that outright ban it anywhere instead of just asking to stay out of the main property area. (I'm an ex smoker so I always notice that stuff.) 5/5 would stay here again :)

Cute place to stay close to downtown

The property was very clean and accommodating for our needs. Only about a $10 Uber to downtown which is nice. Corner lot kept the area private. Owner was lovely to chat with! Didn’t realize there was no AC but luckily it wasn’t too warm out during our stay. Would definitely rent from him again! Thank you for your hospitality!
