Disliked: Cleanliness
This was not a comfortable stay. Below is a list of concerns we had after a four night stay at this property:- Electrical outlets didn’t work- Majority of light switches didn’t work- Kitchen sliding door didn’t lock easily - Linens and blankets had old urine and other stains on them- Backyard was full of cobwebs and debris- Fountain hadn’t been cleaned in some time. There were an abundance standing water in the fountain causing mosquitos to thrive - Standing room fans didn’t work properly; they were loud and malfunctioned- Hot tub was not clean and had sand along all the seatsThe biggest red flag of this whole trip was that the owner showed up unannounced to enter the property. We had just gotten back to the property and had the garage door open. A man entered the garage claiming to be the owner and asked if he could enter the house to check the AC filter. We hesitated but said yes, and followed him into the house. The “owner” entered the house to check the filter. He presented a clean filter to us saying there was nothing to clean after all. He then put the filter back and left via the front door, not before peeking into each room on the way out. He then messed with the front lock, claiming he was “checking it.” We confronted him and explained that showing up unannounced with no communication was unprofessional and worrisome. Our infant daughter stayed with us. My mother stayed with us. How would she have reacted if we weren’t back to the property and he just ent
