Beautiful and very functional modern rooms. Accommodations for two leave some privacy challenges if you are anything but romantically involved. But not insurmountable. GREAT location!

The property is in a great area, close to everything. Lots of cafe bars and restaurants, shopping and most attractions walkable. Tram stop almost outside hotel. Staff are very very friendly. Reception (everyone) were extremely friendly and helpful, I would say exceptional. Only negative and small concern, room was on smaller side, no kleenex. The bed however was uber comfortable. Great place to stay.

Excellent hotel in a great location, with easy access to public transportation and all that Amsterdam offers. The rooms were super clean and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We liked the hotel so much that we returned to stay again.

The employees were nice but the room had a stuffy smell and minor sewer type smell. I’m not sure if my nose got use to the smell but after a few days I didn’t smell anymore. I wasn’t aware the bathroom door would be a bit visible. The shower water was strong the water would flow out. Other than that the room was decent size. I wouldn’t go excepting a huge room. Terrific new hotel - very comfortable beds, gorgeous sheets, nice vibe to the decor and feels like no detail has been missed. Really convenient location with a tram stop to/from Central station right at the corner (10mins). Very helpful, friendly staff. Great breakfast, oat latte’s were excellent as were the choices. Close to museum square and feels like a 10-15 minute walk from everywhere else. Will stay there again!

Hot Rooms, Good Staff

When we arrived at The Diamond it was before check in time so we paid to get into our room early. When we arrived into the room we realized the air conditioning wasn't working. After asking for help from the women cleaning the rooms and the front desk they told us to go exploring the city and the room should be cooled off by the time we returned. Sadly, when we returned at 9 pm the air-con was still inoperative. Exhausted, we asked if we could switch rooms to one with working air-con. They were very kind and quick with a room change. When we got to this room we noticed it outfitted with complimentary branded water bottles and Stroopwaffles to enjoy, a nice touch our original room did not have. Sadly this rooms air-con was inoperative as well. We called down once more and they were kind enough to find a room where the air conditioning finally appeared to be working. It was rough going as it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit and the air con was working intermittenly. This third room also had not been cleaned nearly as well as the others and also didn't have the waterbottles and stroopwaffles room two had. The inconsistencies between the rooms and the lack of air-con were the only draw backs. The staff were beyond helpful and quick in moving us to a room that was somewhat more comfortable.
