The location was outstanding. Close to all attractions, walking distance. Beautiful hotel. Loved it! I will go back there any time I go to Amsterdam.
I liked that it was a historic property in a central location but the hotel needs a complete make over. The room was to small. Were do you put your suitcases? There were very few electrical outlets and not enough storage space. We basically lived out of our suitcase because they only had a bedside table with 2 drawers for clothes. The bathroom was also in need of a renovation The staff was friendly. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the food was good but the service was slow which was disappointing.

Staff was incredible! So friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice spread but very expensive. Bartender did not know how to make most cocktails so we settled for a simple beer most nights. Rooms were terrific.

This is an 18th century building, beautifully moderized. Right on a canal in the central area of Amsterdam and convenient walking to all the sights, all the way from Central Station to Museum area. Room was spacious for Europe, beautiful marble bath with high end fixtures, walk in shower with rain head, lux towels, in-room Nespresso coffee makers. Very attentive staff. Breakfast buffet is available for a very steep fee, but there are many local spots to eat any meal: nothing opens til 9 a.m. Orbitz package made this a very sweet deal. Highly recommended!
This hotel is one of the coolest places in town! Central to everything, amazing rooms, friendly staff, and perfect location.
Great overall experience. After the first morning there was water all over the floor from the shower. We called to ask for more towels and they ended up upgrading us so they could fix the shower. Lots of options at breakfast. Staff was always friendly and ready to help.

Fabulous hotel. The location was perfect. Right on a canal and within walking distance to everything. Our room was awesome with windows that opened right over the canal.
NH Doelen is absolute perfection. I had the opportunity to stay there at the end of 2016 and returned for an extended stay of 9 days in March of 2018. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed and taken care of. The rooms are spotless, the amenities luxurious, and the breakfast is delicious. The staff is warm and friendly and more than accommodating. To say the NH Doelen is the epitome of a five-star hotel would be an understatement. I look forward to my return. NH Doelen is located in an ideal area. From its central location you can walk anywhere within minutes.
