Canal view room on the first floor does not have a dresser or furniture just 2x4 wood shelving ? Quite odd as the other room on the first floor ( our friend stayed there) had a beautiful armour . It took away from the ambiance of staying on the canal . That said I would definitely recommend this hotel as everything else was great !

Rosalia's is a gem in the city. The staff are kind and so helpful, and the ambiance is magnificent. The breakfast is delicious and prompt, and the hotel is located in the center of the city, which makes it easy to walk to all the sites and catch trains/transportation to other parts of the Netherlands. The hotel is located above a speakeasy-style cocktail bar that serves amazing drinks.

The location is good. The breakfast was pretty average continental breakfast. A boudoir-style room is tight with dim lighting. Some people, especially on honeymoon, may like it. However, the room was not lit enough for us. The service was pretty negligent: the day-time window curtains were missing, the bathroom was not equipped with a shelf, absolutely no space to put shaving and other accessories, the bottle with soap was empty. A small towel was missing. After request, an additional bath towel was given instead. However, after regular change two days later, one small towel was missing again. We believe, the current hotel is greatly overpriced.

This place is too cool

This was a find on Hotels.com. The rest of my team stayed at INk and I stayed here - So glad I did. Such a cool atmosphere, staff was amazing, Gabriel was so cool and just personable. The owners were awesome to talk too.

Such a quirky little spot. Very cute in a great area. The room was small but very nice. The staff were great and took bags up to the room via the secret 'speak-easy' door and tiny winding staircase. Nice breakfast included - all in all, very nice stay.

Lovely Little Touches

Not the best of starts when we arrived as we weren't allowed in and had to stand on the pavement. A sign said to ring the bell and wait. It seemed that drinking guests came first. Eventually we were allowed in and shown to our room. The room was great. Overlooked a courtyard and was quietish. The little touches in the room were unexpected and really appreciated. A fridge with complimentary sort drinks and fruit juice plus chocolate bars which was topped up every day. A proper coffee machine with different pods plus hot chocolate. The best bed pillows of any hotel I've stayed in. A nice array of shower gel etc with a very nice shower. The room also had a safe but the previous occupier had locked it so we couldn't use it for a while day which was annoying. Had to take everything out with us. Breakfast was a set 3 course menu which was blooming lovely! Coffee and properly squeezed orange juice, homemade granola with fresh fruit and yogurt, sourdough toast with organic jam, hazelnut spread and cheese. Again a very nice touch that you rarely get. Sleep wise I thought it was quiet. Bed was comfy and the pillows were the best ever. Location wise the hotel was less than 20mins from the train station and within easy reach of the main shopping area. All in all a lovely stay made more special by those little touches.

Just delightful!

This was such a delightful and memorable place to stay. The owners were fun and interesting, the staff were just excellent and the evening Italian bartenders were engaging and welcoming. It was my favorite feeling to return after a full day of walking to such a hospitable cozy place to have a delicious nightcap. They even have a great Spotify playlist. I would love to return one day.

This is a little gem of a place centrally located and a 10 minute walk from the station. There are only a handful of bedrooms which are well appointed including complimentary soft drinks and snacks. Breakfast was wonderful.At night the ground floor becomes an intimate small atmospheric cocktail bar. We loved this quirky romantic hotel. 5 stars!! Please be aware if you have mobility issues the stairs are steep.

Good location, great hospitality

The hotel was in a great location to allow us to walk to everything we wanted to see in Amsterdam. It was clean and a very unique hotel. Due to a local festival happening during our stay, it was a bit loud and the stairs to the room were very steep and narrow. However, it address to the charm and experience rather than detracting from it. The biggest thing is the people who work at the hotel. Every person we encountered was so helpful and friendly. They carried our luggage to and from our room, greeted us everytime we walked in, helped with drink choices at the bar, and explained the hotel and area. Rachel was especially helpful and went above and beyond to help me enjoy my time in Amsterdam. I cannot say enough about their hospitality!

What a fantastic and unique place to stay in Amsterdam! We couldn’t have asked for a better location to be able to walk almost anywhere, endless restaurants, bars, and access to museums! Rachel was amazing from the second we got there, the breakfast is probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, and the cocktail bar was lively and fun at night.!

The hotel is situated on the edge of the Red light district which was great and metro is 1 min walk away which is great. Main attractions are close by and easy to get to, area is very safe. Hotel is very quirky with the cocktail bar downstairs as you enter and bedrooms on the next three floors, note stairs are steep as per website. Breakfast was first class and catered for gluten and lactose free. Our fridge in the room was restocked daily at no cost, that is a first for us. We had the room with a view of the courtyard which was quiet and ideal. One thing I would recommend to the hotel is when you are greeted a street map of Amsterdam would have been good, we picked one up on our last day at the Rembrandt museum. Overall a very good stay and thankyou for a wonderful time

I travel a lot and generally stay at larger hotels but this was a private trip and we wanted something a bit more personal. This truly is the best hotel and most interesting hotel I have stayed at in many years. Service was outstanding throughout check-in, breakfast and departure. Location is a bit unusual given that it is a bit too close to the red light district in Amsterdam but there are plenty of options for good restaurants and experiences as long as you avoid the crazyness.
