Thanks to its rustic wooden façade and natural roof, it blends seamlessly into the rugged natural surroundings. Inside, you will find a stylish and cosy ambience with a comfortable sofa area by the large windows, a long dining table and a beautiful, open kitchen. Sit by the warm wood-burning stove and enjoy the sweeping views. The whirlpool and sauna provide even more relaxation.
The large terrace with table and seating also offers you a marvellous view over the Tovdal valley and its idyllic network of streams and waterfalls. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere here while you barbecue or simply unwind.
The surrounding area offers good fishing opportunities, beautiful hiking areas and a rich animal life. You can pick berries and mushrooms right by the house. The natural meeting point for guests is the nearby Hillestad Gallery. There you will find a café, a gallery shop and exhibitions. You can also hire cross-country skis here and get local information. There is also a playground for the little ones.
