We loved our stay at this hotel. We had a Junior Suite on the 19 floor, it was very clean, comfy bed and had loads of storage space. The views over the Marina were fantastic, it was also great for watching the sunrise and sunsets. The location is ideal, minutes from the beach, marina and many restaurants/bars. The buffet breakfast was amazing with lots of choice of hot and cold items and always well stocked up. We also had lunch in the restaurant on the top floor, which was very good. We booked direct with their hotel group Melia, for booking direct we received a gift of 10 euros a day to spend in the bar, restaurant or room service. The booking price also included breakfast. We would definitely stay at the this hotel again. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful and friendly and making our stay special.
Decided to stay for a 2nd time. This time the stay was only average. Stayed in room 803, which was a superior room. However it was starting to look a very tired and worn. The biggest issue I had was the noise. Every hotel room on floor 8, has a front door that slams. It was constant Bang, Bang, Bang. Worse were the cleaners. I have never heard cleaners so loud in all my travels. Their hoover was like a pneumatic drill and despite having the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, they insist on banging the hoover against your door cleaning the hall way at 9 am. Walls were very thin and you could here the TV on in the room next door, talking and toilet flushing. Basically it was the worse 2 nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel! Reception staff were good, though it took 12 calls to reception to ask for an iron and ironing board to be brought up to the room. Unfortunately despite a great location, the hotel has gone hill.
Have been to Alicante before, but first time at this Hotel.Efficient check in,and given a room with fantastic view of the marina.Room very clean with good facilities.View from the restaurant fabulous. Will definetly return.
Hotel clean and tidy. Drop off place in front of hotel taken up by a delivery van not even delivery to the hotel. No Parking at hotel, have to use public car park approx 3 mins walk away. Staff very friendly but we were advised by booking.com that we would get the meals cheaper in the hotel if we didn't pre book. As we were staying 2 nights but would be leaving the hotel over 2 hours before breakfast started we only wanted to book for one breakfast each but were told by the hotel we would have to pay €15 each instead of €10 each because we weren't eating both days. Let down by having no kettle in room.
Quite a typical 4* hotel with all expected amenities and excellent buffet style breakfast for 15 euros. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel seems to be under-serviced by only having the two lifts. It’s a fair choice and I might stay again but there are also much cheaper options around if you do wish.
Stayed a few months ago at the Melia Alicante and enjoyed it so much decided to return to the Town for a short break. This hotel was ideally located, had Great rooms and the Staff in Reception and the Bar/Dining Room were fantastic. We left feeling relaxed and very glad that we had stayed here.
Great Location with modern communal areas, friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Rooms a bit tired, especially bathrooms and pre arrival could have been more helpful. It was difficult to find the hotel by car (drove past it twice as the entrance signage is not clear). Parking and breakfast options were not made clear. Room was noisy with banging from other rooms or lift
This is a great value for money hotel in a great location to explore Alicante. The breakfast is excellent, the staff very helpful and the views from the bar on the 26th floor are fantastic. The rooms are more than adequate and very clean. My only criticism would be the noisy lifts which can be heard from the bedrooms.
We have stayed here many times and every time we're well treated. The rooms are great, amazing views great bar/restaurant at the 26th floor And breakfast is nice and tasty and so is the location close to beaches and old town.
we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel, would be nice if coffee or tea was available during the day in room or reception, this Hotel is situated in the heart of this beautiful historic Spanish city, everything close at hand, lovely beach five minutes walk away. we never tire of visiting Alicante
