Firstly, room had little window so despite the room decor being very stylish and a lot of space, it was claustrophobic and dark. Not wanting to spend any time there and yet other rooms, same price, had balconies or Juliette balconies as advertised. Secondly, the service!!!!! Never had such rude and miserable bar staff. You practically got drinks thrown at you, usually half froth if a lager on draught and oh the reaction if you asked for it to be topped up!! A holiday destination but so many times told 'no English'. Not the first or last English there and I wish I spoke Spanish, I never presume they will know English but we got it ALL the time. Even the night we were stuck in town 20 mins drive away, no taxi and when we called reception who apparently rang some places for us, told 'no taxi'. When we asked what we could do to find a place in the town, 'no understand'. Left to fend for ourselves at 1am so found lovely people who were closing their restaurant who didn't have good English but had us a taxi in 10 mins!!! Our saviours, thank you. Two restaurants outside reception. Italian was exceptional with friendly helpful staff. Spanish one ignored one group from the wedding party after they had been seated so after 45 mins the group gave up and joined the rest of us at the Italian. Coffee shop, I asked for orange juice and got a huff as she had to plug in the machine. I could go on. We were there for our friend's wedding and the setting plus the staff hired for the day were great. It was a lovely day just back to reality next day with usual staff of acantilado suites. Would I go back, no. I have been to a lot of places and this is the first one I have been happy to leave and not even consider going back. Thank goodness for friends there and the wedding day. That was all that saved our holiday otherwise it would have been miserable. Did I say anything to reception , no. Could not handle another 'no understand' or ' no English'. And I reiterate, I am not your usual arrogant holidaymaker who expects everybody to speak your language, as I said I have been to many different countries and even lived on a Mediterranean island. There is a big difference between difficulty in communication and just being damned rude, belligerent and positively as unhelpful as possible. This could be an amazing place if combined with good customer service. We are paying and taking a holiday that we look forward to so it is not a lot to ask for, especially as it was not a cheap place.
A perfekt stay for a family. It's so wunderfull and the staff is top in class. We Got an appartment with Sea view, good space in the appartment. And all you need for a perfekt stay. The 2 person in kids Club deserv a special Thanks
This was our second stay at the Pueblo and again we had a great time. Very Nice appartments although some wear is showing. Facilities are great and staff is quite freindly and accomodating. Will surely come back.
We stayed there in late July 2017 and we weren't disappointed. Our apartment was overlooking the sea and with the glass balcony at the end of the large sun deck area (ground floor for bigger sun deck) this was an amazing bonus. The apartment inside was really nice, well laid out and comfortable. The air con was a life saver while we were there too. Food was nice in the restaurant. We were half board and really enjoyed it, it was good quality. Pool area was nice but the pool I think is too small. Needs to be as big again by at least half (twice the size would be ideal). The entertainment staff that looked after the kids around/in the pool were brilliant though, so friendly. All located on a hill, you are quite high up. There is no beach. I read somewhere it was 100m from the beach - nah, it's a rocky coast and 100m as the crow flies & you're about 100m up, a gentle walk there it ain't! You can get to the coast but it's tricky to do so and steep in parts. The mini market onsite is far too expensive but there's a bus into Campello which is easy to catch to get any supplies. Overall it was a great stay but a bit remote. With no other shops there so be prepared for that...
Nice location with great view. A bit isolated from city, shopping and supermarket. Breakfast buffet was acceptable, but not at all fantastic. Nice and friendly staff. Pricelevel at the Minimarket a bit high. Overall a good stay for families.
We spent there a week in July. It is a high quality resort, with all services available and a very professional staff. It is difficult to move around in public transport, so private car is highly recommended. A resort I would recommend...
Beautiful idyllic resort set in a rural area with good transport links to El Campello, Alicante and Benidorm. once through the reception gates your transported to a Mediterranean haven filled with calm and tranquility eloquently mixed with fun and adventure, fantastic for families. The setting is built on a cliff and if you're lucky enough to acquire an apartment at the top end the hard slog to your accommodation rewards you with an incredible view. From the balcony we could see the whole resort, the sea for miles and the coasts of other resorts. The staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly, the food was lovely (breakfast daily) and the facilities were looked after to a super standard. The little touches in our apartment we're a delight, absolutely loved the personal welcome screen on our tv when we arrived and the bathroom complimemtaries we're great, tooth brush and paste, razor and gel, just really cute. Swimming pool, crazy golf, access to tennis courts, activities for kids, evening entertainment all blended into a serenic setting of cobble paths, wooden shuttered balcony doors, a gorgeous little colloseum. I honestly can't rate this place high enough, it offers a serenic and relaxing environment whilst providing on site activities so there's also never a dull moment. My family and I had the bestest time and will definitely return sometime in the future. Kudos.
A total of 7 of us stayed for 7 nights ( (3 children ages 9, 13 and 16) arriving late Thursday night. The location is ideal if you're wanting a quiet holiday but within travelling distance from Alicante and Benidorm. ( we hired a car over the weekend as there is no bus service to take to into town and unable to get there by foot ) All the family are that impressed we are definitely booking up for next year!
What a wonderful holiday we have had! The suites and surrounding area were beautiful. The resort is immaculately clean and the apartments more than suited our needs. The swimming pool, while not massive, was large enough and always very clean and well maintained with a lifeguard. The restaurants were a bit hit or miss, we ended up eating mostly at the BBQ place. The prices are comparable to UK restaurants. The staff on site were very friendly and nothing was a problem, thankfully nearly everyone could speak some English as my Spanish is pitiful! We were able to hire a car for a couple of days as the local bus does not run on a Saturday and Sunday. This place is a bit secluded from the local towns but we had already done our research and knew this to be the case. The bus runs every hour and is very cheap, it takes you into to local town of El Campello and from there you can go further afield if you want. All the apartments are situated on a hill which is not long but can get steep in some places, if you have a disability or infirmity then you may struggle but there is a small cart that will pick up and drop people off, this is also true of people with buggies and prams. There is a wee convenience store which was overpriced but did in a pinch. All in all we had a wonderful stay and our two boys loved it. We will be going back again.
Very nice and quiet apartment hotel. Perfect for families with kids. There is only one pool but for older kids it's perfect. Good value for money and nice surroundings but you need a car to get around.
