Hotel was lovely, room was cleaned everyday however bedding was only changed once during our week staying here. The whole hotel was modern and looked brilliant. I have read a lot of reviews that mention the lifts, the lifts are easy to use once it has been explained. Only issue we had was with one member of staff on reception who was rude and unhelpful to us, however we waited until there was a different member of staff available who helped us straight away and sorted our issue no problem. Our original room did not have the glass bathroom- so if travelling with family or friends you could easily request this. However we did change rooms and our second room did have the glass bathroom however there was frosted glass that worked well for privacy. Would love to stay here again!
Superb hotel in every way!! From the food, to the service, staff and atmosphere it was all perfect. The food is great with lots of choice and variety and the staff are amazing and extremely friendly. This was my first visit to Benidorm and to this hotel and I will definitely be returning in the near future!!
Myself and my partner stayed in Port Benidorm for 10 nights and could not fault a single thing. Food was buffet and there was always numerous things we liked (bare in mind we are both very fussy eaters). Bar was great and the all inclusive spirits were peng ting! Hotel atmosphere was very friendly and fun orientated and staff always wanted to please the guests! Recommend this to any couple/family who are looking for a fun, chilled and friendly holiday! Will be booking this again for sure.
First time to Benidorm, we chose this hotel as the location and pictures of refurbishment looked fabulous. The refurb has been done to a high spec, everything is bright, fresh and spotless ( well done to the hotel cleaning staff). Check in was quick, staff greeted us with a smile, they dealt with the influx of customers leaving and arriving effortlessly. We were shown how to use the lift system which if used correctly works a treat, yes you might have to wait a few minutes longer at meal times but that is to be expected. We stayed in room 608 which had views of the resort and also could see down to part of the beach which suited us great, plenty of people watching to do, sun on the balcony all afternoon until the sun went down! The room itself had everything we needed, comfy beds, small fridge for cold drinks, safe, large wardrobes, yes we had a bathroom with the privacy panel but as we have been married for 30 years this didn't bother us at all, it's not really that much of an issue, there is also a large tv with plenty English channels if you want to watch to. The restaurant manager always greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant, we were shown to our seat but could ask to sit by window or anywhere you wanted and it was not a problem. The food in the restaurant is excellent, large choice of hot and cold foods, I especially loved the cakes, miniature versions but absolutely gorgeous and presented beautifully, there was also hot crumble and custard or bread and butter pudding on offer some days as well if you prefer that. A bottle of water or wine is offered at meal times, if you are all inclusive there is a bar in the restaurant ,go to the right as you go through the doors and to the end of the restaurant, you can get soft drinks or a beer there which I think most people were unaware of. The pool does not open until 9am, there is a queue on the first floor to get sun beds, this queue is outside people's rooms on that floor, I personally wouldn't have wanted a queue outside my bedroom door. There are ample sun beds but hardly any parasols, although I did notice most of those that took the beds with parasols didn't even bother to put them up! MORE PARASOLS PORT BENIDORM! Staff at the pool bar work hard serving drinks constantly and also cooking food before your eyes for the snack bar, we didn't eat at the snack bar so cannot comment on that. The chill out area at the front of the hotel is lovely to sit on an afternoon watching the world go by with a drink, a bit of light music would have been nice. The guys on the bar work hard and are really lovely, a credit to the hotel as are all the staff we encountered. We only saw the entertainment twice, one was a Spanish lady who was not to our taste, she was followed by Spanish dancers who I quite enjoyed, another evening they had a Michael Jackson tribute on, we had seen this guy in Morgan's and he was brilliant, unfortunately the sound system was not set up properly, a man who we think was the manager kept telling the girl who was in charge of the sound system to fiddle with it and the whole thing was disastrous, I felt so sorry for the tribute guy. We had a fantastic holiday and would stay at Port Benidorm Hotel next time we are in Benidorm without a doubt.
Regular traveller to benidorm, have been 5 times on all inclusive holidays to benidorm in last 6 months. We travelled with thomson and secured the holiday all inclusive for under £600 per person, great value we thought for peak season. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly smiling staff, we would like thank Jason the hotel representative who was so helpful and a real credit to the hotel. We were able to check into our room at 1300 hours and we found the room spotlessly clean. The facilities in the room were modern and of a high standard i.e., fridge, safe (12 euro a week to hire) flat screen TV with lots of uk channels. There was plenty of electrical sockets for use. A kettle was provided with tea included, paper cups were provided so would suggest you take your own travel mugs. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever encounted, they were memory foam, 2 singles pushed together. We did have a room with a glass bathroom ( frosted glass parts for privacy) and had no issues, we thought it looked very modern. Room had power shower which was great. Had a nice balcony with a partial sea view on floor 2, we loved watching the hustle and bustle of the people in party benidorm, some extremely drunk to put it politely . The rooms air con was very efficient and a god send, it was 33 in the shade in mid July. The food we thought was of high quality, there so much choice, it was always hot and well presented. The restaurant staff were friendly, always smiling and helpful. Special mention to Paco (excuse if spelt incorrectly) he was so helpful and a credit to the hotel. The all inclusive drinks package was of local drinks, estrella lager and local spirits, all full strength and not watered down. If on all inclusive you could buy cans of strongbow, john smith bitter and Guinness for 1-95 euro if you wanted a change. Finally we would recommend this hotel to all and we were greatly appreciative of the friendly staff and management who strove and made our holiday fantastic, thank you. Hope to return soon.
We returned yesterday after a week at the Port Benidorm Hotel. The hotel is superb in all aspects and the staff are friendly and great to deal with, We were a little concerned about some of the negative reviews concerning the lifts and the glass-walled bathrooms. We are unable to comment on the bathroom as we had a room with a 'standard' bathroom. The lifts are generally OK to use, and, after a couple of tries, anyone with half a brain could work them adequately. The only issue we encountered is when the lift arrives on your floor and is already full - you will need to call another lift when this happens. All the staff will go out of their way to help you. The restaurant staff are especially friendly. Food is adequate at worst but there is always something there to be eaten regardless of tastes. For the duration of our trip, the food was hot (when it was intended to be) and totally edible. British people should note, however, that there is a large number of Spanish guests who stay at the hotel and the food reflects this. If you are expecting to eat egg and chips every day, this hotel is not for you. Why not try some of the Spanish type food - you will be pleasantly surprised. The only gripe with the food was the hot desert: bread and butter pudding four times in seven days and apple crumble on the other three days. Entertainment is not great but again, is geared towards Spanish guests as well as British customers so may not be to your liking at all times. Next time we spend some time in Benidorm, the Port Benidorm will be top of the list for our stay. What more can I say!!
There is nothing but praise for this hotel. Everything was perfect making it a superb holiday. Entertainment, food, staff. This is a must hotel for anyone wanting a perfect holiday in Benny. Gracias port benidorm x
Had a change of hotel at last minute didn't know what to expect was very pleased when we got there. Beautiful clean and friendly place had sea view room on 15th floor fabulous views.pool area was really loverly but not much shade .childrens area had no shade all day. plenty of choice with the meals but not much choice by pool side food bar but always fresh.
On pulling up to this hotel, its one of those where you think thank goodness this is our hotel. Very much stands out from its fresh white and aqua blue appearance. Hotel gives you a good impression from the moment you arrive, clean, friendly and as quick in check-in as physically possible for the staff. Lifts you have to scan your room card to get you to the correct floor. Sometimes it works brilliant but at other busy times it could be rather frustrating when you have lifts going past your floor and could be waiting a while at busy periods but nothing to complain about. We were on floor 16, our room was very clean and was cleaned immaculately everyday by the maid with fresh towels and either bed made or sheets changed daily. Mini fridge in room. Safety deposit box we paid approx €12 euros for the week and also €10 for iron and ironing board which you got your €10 back when you return it. Check out was 12pm which we thought was a very good time other hotels we have stayed in have had much earlier check outs. We have saw reviews which glass walls in bathroom but we did not have this our room had solid walls. Pool area opens at 9am, like every other hotel you will ever go too there are people queuing up for a sun lounger. But .... no rush!! As every single day there were plenty of sun loungers and there was never a problem getting a sun bed regardless of time we went to the pool. Pool area is cleaned daily and is always nice and clean & the animation team never stop. They are all lovely and friendly and they try there hardest to get people involved without being pushy. Very hard working team!! We stayed half board. We were very disappointed to be honest with breakfast. The meat is very poor quality and sausage does not even appear to have any meat content and just looked like slop once cut open. We tended to just eat toast, eggs and fruit which become very repetitive after 7 days. Evening meal (which you need your room id card for) is much better a lot of variety and appears much better quality. Location of this hotel is superb. A minute from the beach, local shops, restaurants as well as McDonald's, burger king, subway and KFC. Around a 10 minute walk to the strip of bars and clubs which is ideal as close enough to walk but far enough from the noise. Overall we would 100% stay at this hotel again if we were to return to Benidorm and would definitely recommended it to anyone!
Just returned from mum & daughter holiday. Booked a standard room but requested a standard bathroom which we were given so thanks. Pool view room clean, lovely and spacious with very comfy twin beds, mini fridge, efficient shower and excellent air con. Safe less than €2 a day. TV had good selection of English TV channels. Spacious pool area, plenty of sunbeds and doesn't feel overshadowed by other buildings. Major problem though there are NOT enough parasols, this is unacceptable in a modern 4* Thomson Platinum Hotel and saying they are getting more is no use in the blazing sun to people currently there on holiday! Enjoyed the glass restaurant setting and found the food OK, nothing to write home about but perfectly acceptable. There was almost zero option if you are a gluten free guest, surely in this day and age they could muster up even some gluten free pasta??? Drinks were fine much the usual local Spanish offerings, we were AI, and couldn't complain. Entertainment was "amusing" in its own way! Loved the outside bar area where you can sit and watch the world go by. Location great. Liked the fact there was good mix of nationalities. Being our first time to Benidorm we did the 2 open top bus tours which were great to see what was out there without having to walk for miles in the heat. Never discovered why this hotel is still operating on their winter restaurant hours🤔 Staff generally polite and efficient and constant cleaning of public areas. Lifts worked fine for us but yes could be busy at times but no different from any other busy high rise hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would love to return but unfortunately now that renovations are complete and the hotel is fully up and running its cost has risen beyond what I would pay to go to Benidorm when there are so many other places to try. Having said that we'll be keeping an eye out for any winter deals just in case 👍😄
