Stayed here on a recommendation from family that had visited in May, we had a 2 bed apartment and a studio booked, we requested that the rooms be close together as the studio was for my Mum who suffers from arthritis and finds walking very difficult, our apartments couldn’t have been any further apart .. although the staff member was apologetic he said he could do nothing to fix the situation, we later that evening requested extra bedding for our 2 bed apartment so my mum could stay with us, this was also not possible to provide extra sheets for our apartment. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with everything you need for self catering but also very grubby and in need of a deep clean .. curtains, sofas, walls .. but the general apartment is clean as in floors, kitchen toilets etc .. the marina is across the road and restaurant and bars are good, you can get a taxi to lidl for 6 euro and do your shopping, there’s a cafe underneath the hotel that sells the most amazing pastry’s .. we have a large group returning in April and have requested that our rooms are in close proximity to each other .. hopefully we will be accommodated on this occasion as if it’s not possible I would much prefer to know and we could find somewhere that we can be accommodated. I enjoyed my stay here but found the staff very unhelpful with the issues we had.
We stayed in a spacious apartment overlooking the swimming pool. The apartment had three bedrooms (two with twin rooms), 4 bathrooms, kitchen and a communal dining / lounge area. Everything was spotlessly clean, and all rooms had good AC. The apartments are located a short walk from albuferia, and less than 10 minutes to the main beach. There are a few and several restaurants located near the apartments infront of the nearby marina. The only complaints were the poor wifi (slow and no signal in many areas) and that the sink on one of our bathrooms had a plumbing issue that results in the drain pipe falling off!
Close to the port for tours etc but about a Km walk from Old Town. It Has a nice 2m pool as far as I remember with multiple kids pools. Snacks from the poolside Bar are surprisingly nice/quality and the staff are lovely and helpful at both the reception and poolside Bar. Wi-Fi avaialbe only at the reception area. Rickshaws are available from the front of the apartments to bring you to oldtown. Something to be wary of, It cost us I think about 70E fom airport to here via Taxi but only 30E if I remember from here to airport via airport transfer company (which is downstairs from the apartments towards the port which is the main way out, unles you're taking a taxi/bus of course). So try and organise a transfer company before you leave your country, no reflection on the apartments.
Lovely big spacious 3 bed 3 bath apartment with 5 balconies. Only downside was no kettle for making the tea :( Apartment was cleaned and towels changed regularly. Wouldn't recommend for people who want to party on the strip even though it is only a short taxi. Would defiantly return
Lovely big apartments close to the marina we got taxis to the old town nice pool area. The only problem was the check in and reception was locked up when we arrived so we had to wait outside in the dark late at night until we managed to get security to let us in even tho there is a sign outside saying 24 hours. The cleaner did not visit our room or change our towels but apart from that we had a nice time
Stayed in a privately rented apartment, which is in OK condition but as others have observed it is showing its age. The reception and cafe bar staff are lovely and really helpful. I would say its a 20 minute walk into the old town, there are various mentions on here between 10 and 25 minutes, reckon 10 minutes must be a very fast walker or know a great short-cut! The pool area and gardens are in pretty good shape and very clean, lots of loungers but not enough parasols to go round. Could be a really nice relaxing complex if they perhaps had some 'security' staff and a lifeguard around the pool during the daytime - too many folk using the pool terrace, gardens and the pool itself for some pretty serious football practice and ball games - you are never quite sure where the next ball might be going, and my sun lounger was struck a number of times. And some folk seem to think its OK to have their sound systems blasting out in the public spaces - gardens, pool side etc. Maybe that's just the way it is nowadays, but this strikes me as a family resort but is being overrun by 'inconsiderates'...... Night time can occasionally get a bit lively as some of the apartments seem to be groups on 'parties' - again, some input from a security team would be good. Or maybe i just got unlucky.....I'll not be returning.
A mid size holiday complex with a good central pool area. The complex is very secure with controlled access including secure car parking in allocated spaces in underground car park. What stops it from a 5 star rating are two things. Firstly, everything about it reminds you of a cruise liner on its last voyage before a major re-fit. Bare light-bulbs hang from broken fittings, soft furnishings are worn and dirty, balcony furniture was on its last legs ( my chair broke when I sat on it) and the windows were last cleaned when Vasco da Gama was a cabin-boy. Secondly, wi-fi. This is only available at reception and is pretty poor at that. That's just not good enough for today's traveller.
We stayed here 23rd Aug F123 We had a three bed apartment that can hold 8 to 9 people easy. It had 3 bathrooms and a fully kitted out kitchen including washer and dish washer. 6 balcony's, living room diner. The pool area is clean and well looked after. The grounds seem to need a make over some gardening etc. The grass is coming out the path and there are a few cracked floor tiles etc. What let's this place down was the lack of evening entertainment. If we had something to do in the bar at night we may if stayed some nights Biggest frustration. We arrived on the 23 and left on the 30th. The cleaner came for the first time the night before we were leaving. No clean sheets or beds made etc. So disappointing.
This isn't the first time we have stayed here, the fact we have returned tells you how much we enjoyed it previously BUT now starting to look jaded. Curtains were torn and worn, colour of the arms on the arm chair was dirty, cobwebs in the wardrobe, sofa bed has seen better days, some of the plaster on the walls was crumbling, the outside of the apartment needs a lick of paint and the paint at the bottom of the pool is flaking off. On the plus side it's a great location near the marina and a 10 min walk to the old town. The reception staff and the bar/cafe staff were great. I'd go again, but would want some renovation to have taken place first. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the end.
Just back from a weeks stay. We had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool, ground floor and 2 cots as requested. Apartment very nice, spacious, bright, kitchen well equipped with everything however 3 breakfast bowls and 2 cups for a family of 5 wasnt that great 😞 washing machine was a blessing, kettle, toaster, everything very clean too. Pull out bed was really comfy, beds were awful though I have to say I didn't get a decent nights sleep at all. Shutters on the bedroom were great though as it kept my twins asleep till 8am, massive bonus 😃 Apart from the bed, the apartment was great, really happy with the room. Complex, lovely! Massive pool and baby pool was perfect for the toddlers, more parasols needed as someone else mentioned. Bo prbs getting beds even at 11-12am too which was great, nice relaxed, quiet atmosphere at the pool, no loud music, water yoga etc although it was busy it's quite spaced out so plenty of room around the pool. Food area quite small but but everything you would need, snack wise. Marina a nice 5-10 min walk away, some nice restaurants and activities for the kids, Aldi/Lidl 10 mins in a taxi max, around 10euro. Old Town really busy of a night not ideal for us with a double buggy so we only went twice, too hectic. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Albufeira, lovely apartments!
