We overall really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO! We were there for a little over two weeks, and enjoyed the lake, the house itself, the grill, proximity to fun restaurants and the state park. The house is right on a somewhat busy road, but with the house located down a steep driveway, it still feels very peaceful right next to the water. It is located on one of the lakes that is less packed with houses, giving it more nature-like vibes, which we really enjoyed. There was one kayak in the shed which we enjoyed using multiple times--there was quite a bit of algae to paddle through near the shoreline, but once you get to open water, lots of beautiful lake to explore. There was a ton of goose poop all over the entirety of the front and back yard. Our kids enjoyed seeing the geese visit the yard, but it really did limit our kids' ability to run around outside without getting goose poop caked into the bottom of their shoes. There was a small but noticeable amount of pet hair on the floor of the home. There were also ants randomly on the floor throughout our stay. The host was very quick to respond to our messages requesting spraying for ants, but to my knowledge they never actually sprayed. There were loose screws in a chair, a curtain rod, and the sink faucet was wobbly. All these seem like very easy fixes, and may be fixed prior to the next occupant. Again, very much enjoyed our stay!
