Clean and nice location. However, restaurant was closed on Sat night. No guest laundry 'on the weekends'. Minimal services and staff at best, 'did the minimum required'. Would not stay there again.
Aix de Provence wasn't the only place I was interested in Provence, that's why I needed a hotel just outside of the downtown so I ';d have no problems with parking my car or getting outside to main highways easily. The location is perfect for this purpose. The staff was very nice and knowledgable, cleaning was extremely good, breakfasts are cheap and tasty. Thank you all, guys!
Dingy and depressing which would be ok for an US roadside hotel after a 12 hour trip. But not AIX ! No
We reserved a two room suite but were given two separate rooms when we arrived. (we were traveling with our 18 month old and a baby-sitter). When we tried to correct them and showed them the reservation they just shrugged. The rooms were very dumpy and desperately needed an upgrade but were very affordable if you don't plan on staying in your room much. The lobby and service were both very nice though. And the walk to the center of the town was really quite short. More like 5-10 minutes then the 20 that I had read.
