Hotel is renewed, on the Hill aprox 200 m from beach. Rooms are very nice, only 1 Elevator. The choice of Food for the Dinner could be better for 4 Star hotel. Hotel was full o Kids but at thje Dinner Kids Corner was Closed.

This hotel is SO RIDICULOUSLY FAR from the beach. To access the beach from the hotel there is a back pathway with so many steps to climb down - its exhausting especially after a long day at the beach. It's also the only way to go down to any of the nice places to eat and drink. Morning breakfast was included in our stay but was extremely average. The room (5th floor - 513) was clean but there was a dead bug in the corner of the room. Our room had a balcony but overlooked a back parking lot - if you are going to stay here, definitely specify a room with a view to the side of the sea. (Notice I didnt say sea view - because the hotel actually overlooks the Hotel Neptune which then overlooks the sea. So don't expect a sea view.....) Spa - you need to go all the way down across the hotel to the Neptune Hotel (same LifeClass Group of Hotels) and then go to the spa. The corridors don't have any AC on which makes it super stuffy and smelly. There is only one elevator - which means we ended up waiting for the elevator to come for half an hour on average. We finally gave up and just climbed five floors up and down. This hotel and room was tolerable and the moment you check-in ---- you want to get out and come back only when its dark. Overall it was strictly average and we made it work for the one night we stayed - the service also wasn't exceptional to make up for the facilities/amenities and interiors. Definitely not something I would recommend staying in for a long time.

We stayed in this hotel in Portoroz during the last week of July 2017 and we weren't disappointed. It was a nice, clean and friendly hotel with a beautiful pool and excellent breakfast buffet as we didn't do half or full board as we like to experience the local Restaurants.

A part of the hotel is the Terme & Wellness LifeClass Spa, which is a complex of indoor swimming pools with thermo-mineral water. The Spa is clean and well-maintained. If any one wants to go for a good wellness programme in Portoroz, this is the place.

We were there just three nights. We wanted to finish sommer closed to see and used last sommer days. Accomodation was perfect. Room was modern and every morning cleaned. Food was good but I expect from 4 stars more kinds of foods. Services like saune, massage and other wasnt free of charges. Sea was closed to hotel what was great. Hotel has a pool but very small and we didnt use it.

We spend our summer holiday (4 nights) at hotel Mirna and we had a really great time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was furnished luxuriously and had a partial sea view. The food was excellent and tasty. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet was pretty much the same every day. We would definitely come back again.

It was great to spent our time there with my fiancée. The hotel staff was friendly and really helpful with everything. Food was good, but for our taste it was only good but not perfect. The lifeclass hotels are great to be relaxed or have some chill. Thermal facilities are clean and great also. I really can recommend it to anyone. I could gave a five star rate if the food was be better for our taste, maybe our expectations were high ;)

I'm not sure why people complain about this hotel. When we came and got our room the staff was super friendly from the get go. They've helped us to park the car, get our luggage in, they've accommodated our request to remake our bed into a master bed. Room was very spacious for 2 people, with extra sofa (didn't really use it for sleeping but when friends were visiting it was very handy). Airco worked perfectly. Balcony was large enough to sit there in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine (or two.. :P) When I read the reviews, I was wondering whether I'll get a renovated room or not, so I asked right away after the arrival, the guy told me that we don't, since they just renovated one floor. I was a bit disappointed. Up until I got into the room. What's there to renovate? Yeah, maybe bathroom could've been a bit bigger, but then again, when you come to Portorož are you seriously doing anything in your hotel than sleep? :) Beds were good, selection of pillows, etc was present, but even the standard ones were ok. Walking distance to the beach and until 21:00 you can literally walk through the chain of LifeClass hotels and roll out literally on Obala. After 21:00 a mini-hike uphill to hotel Apollo and you can enter there 24/7. Thermen facilities were good. Didn't try any of the extra stuff they offered, but visited the internal pools and jacuzzi's. All-in-all, we're very happy with the trip. It's definitely giving you the value for the quite modest money.

Mixed feelings about hotel Mirna. Absolutely positive things: Nice small pool and free access to very nice indoor pools nearby. Lobby and breakfast area nicely renovated. Quite good breakfast. Lovely sea view and a nice big balcony. Not so far away from the beach as you'd expect having read some reviews. Part of the Life Class complex. Clean. Mostly friendly service. A cat on the yard which our daughter loved. Not that expensive. Not so good: The room is straight from the 80's. Renovation would do wonders. Air conditioning not really working, quite hot in the room and a strange smell of some perfume which is not nice if you are at all sensitive. Room quite small for a family of four and the sofa-bed one of the worst ever. The door difficult to unlock, and for some reason we got only two keys. Some confusion when we came, we had a reservation for five nights (which we had paid for in advance) but first they said we had booked only four. The problem was however quickly solved. Some climbing, which on a very hot day is a bit exhausting. The beach - well, read the reviews. To sum up: if you are aware of all faults, ready to pay for them and not paying much, this is an even enjoyable experience.

We booked on a twin centre holiday with Saga and the first six days were supposed to be spent at the Hotel Riviera at Portoroz. This hotel is a proper four star and is situated on the sea front. The day before we were leaving Saga informed us we had been moved to the hotel next door which was in the same hotel group and also a four star. The reality is that the Hotel Mirna is the cheapest of the hotels in the Life Class group, should never be rated as four star, and is certainly not "next door" but is up a steep hill or up 127 steps. It needs a total refurbishment, the food is OK but the same most days, there is nothing to do in the evenings - not even a proper bar, and the whole place is soulless. The pool is really just a plunge pool - very small. The only plus points are the size of the rooms and the helpfulness of some of the staff. I would never knowingly book this hotel and feel angry at Saga for putting us in there.
