Filthy balcony area, mould in the bathroom, blood on the quilt, pee on the bathroom floor which looked unwashed for a long time. No spare towels or soap. Spoilt our wedding night and will never return.
Stayed at Oaks Embassy recently for 3 nights , renting a 2 bedroom apartment. 2 bathrooms and kitchen.Location fabulous for us, close to festival theatre & Elder Park , rundle mall, adelaide oval etc. Found it to be fairly quite, we were 6th floor facing north terrace. Apartment clean and tidy and comfortable for us. Found water in both showers to be only tepid warm, definitely needs to be hotter. No information in rooms on local attractions etc, which I found to be unusual, but it was available downstairs. Coffee club downstairs which we found to be fabulous, beautiful food. Staff at coffee club and hotel reception lovely and friendly. Had issues with our key card at times, eventually we had it replaced which was not an issue. Parking available for $20 a night pre booked. No drop off zone in front of hotel which was unusual. Not a lot of supplies in the room as in tea bags, toilet paper etc but quick call to reception and more was supplied. Lovely pool and small gym.Overall I would recommend hotel, few small issues, but would definitely stay again.
A good apartment, excellent location in a beautiful city. The staff were very helpful with tips and suggestions. We will use Oaks again. If there is any criticism, it is that's they use cheap toilet paper!
Stayed in a 2 bed apartment over Christmas - we were on 13th floor overlooking the main road with fabulous views of the Adelaide Oval one side and the ocean to the other.Ideally located for public transport (which was free all day on Xmas day!) Great facilities in the apartment - used the kitchen daily and the washing machine was handy as we were there for 10 days! Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that both bedrooms have double beds and my 25 & 19 year old sons refuse to share! There is a sofa bed which saved the day - but was very uncomfortable!
We stayed in executive studio for 5 nights travelling with two teenagers. Very spacious with separate rooms, generous spa bath and outdoor terrace with views over city. Was centrally located for all our needs with easy access out of central city to beach, Barossa and Adelaide. Hills. The beaches in Adelaide are awesome! Easy walk to Adelaide Oval, the river, Zoo and Rundle Mall. Door cards in room kept failing to work and had to have reset over a dozen times which was very annoying when staying on 16th floor. This needs sorting out. Our room faced out south-west over Hindley St, which is the main bar and nightclub street. This gets noisy until 4am which didn’t bother us but would bother light sleepers so would be best to request a room with north views instead. Would stay here again
We are very disappointed with the stay at the Oaks Embassy, we booked this room for my sister to celebrate her 18th. The stay didn’t happen over night as they were evicted without any warning just security rocking up and telling them to pack there bags, as you could imagine I had 4 very upset teenagers on my hand suddenly. So we were unable to find them another accomodation within the timeframe. Due to this situation I will not return to this hotel and recommend anyone.
Stayed here with some friends, and loved our stay. Very handy location, with public transport so close, and walking distance to most things in the city. There's a coffee club on the bottom floor next to the lobby which is handy when you want a coffee to go! We used the pool everyday, and the sauna also. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again next time i'm in Adelaide.
Loved my stay, stayed on the 13th floor, great room overlooking parks convention centre, staff friendly and fixed problem with wifi quickly, close to public transport. Restaurant on ground floor had great food,
This was a last minute trip and we were really impressed. Very comfortable and has all the comforts of home. Facilities are great and it is close to transport, shopping and tourist attractions. Highly recommended and will certainly be back.
room was roomy and tidy. a little more attention in bathroom but over all good. does require a couple of dinner plates but otherwise had enough kitchen equipment.. very comfy bed with good pillows. comfy lounge.
