Very accommodating and helpful staff. The hotel is close to CBD, Casino, Adelaide oval. and parks. Breakfast is very good. There is construction going on in nearby area but not much of hassle. Guests in other rooms you can hear the shower.
This hire has been there a long time and the design feels s bit dated but the service was excellent and the food very good Indeed. The rooms were a bit old fashioned.... wooden louvre doors to the wardrobes, flamingo pink tiles in the bathroom etc but bathrobes in the wardrobe useful for the pool too which was delightful. The gym is small but there are a couple of treadmills, a bike and some weights all in very good condition. We had one dinner at the Japanese restaurant in the hotel. Superb! . Very good value in a great location. Comfortable friendly. We would go again wth pleasure
The location is more in the business area of Adelaide but the city is pretty small and is walkable to all tourist areas - central market, botanical gardens, Rundle Mall, galleries. Back of the hotel has walk-bridge to the river precinct and cricket grounds. The staff are professional and very helpful. Hallways and rooms are a quite outdated and could do with major upgrade to lighten things up. I was at lower floors and was little noisy on saturday night as next door is the casino and convention centre. Ask for higher floors. Otherwise a good stay.
Well located by the river and the various entertainment venues. Adelaide Oval, The Entertainment and Convention Centres and the Casino are within a very short walk. A well established hotel with good amenities and attentive staff. A good place to stay.
The hotel was great - breakfast excellent, room spacious and well set up for work and to relax. Warm, friendly staff with ready smiles. A great central location, easy walk to charming and varied food venues if not eating in the hotel and a hop away from th convention centre for conferences. Will certainly book again on the return trip later in the year.
I booked today’s “lunch high tea” for my daughter’s 16th birthday party to celebrate with her friends. We researched several venues on-line and this menu looked the best value ($46 pp, this was the middle priced option) and had a menu that appealed to her the most. Booking here was the right decision! Superbly run and very accommodating! Sophie M was exceptional and bent over backwards for us. She’s a true asset to the venue! I must confess, I didn’t personally participate in the high tea- my husband and I left the girls to it, but it was a very successful event. Booking was easy- I phoned, then scanned them a completed booking form, paid a deposit and that was it. They phoned me a few days prior to double check details. Vegans and allergies not a problem. Easy, stress free! Parents dropped their girls at the front door, no need to park, and collected them the same way 2 1/2 hours later. They started with a mocktail, then all wandered about the grand staircases and hallways to take photos of each other. Then back to their table for tiered share plates of savouries, followed by a selection of sweets. More photos, then tea & coffee. We sang happy birthday, kindly accompanied by the pianist. My daughter had an amazing afternoon!
This hotel is in an excellent location by the river. Good to have a river view room. The staff were very helpful particularly concierge - looking after luggage, booking restaurants. However, the hotel is really quite dated - rooms and public areas. The hotel needs some investment in order to upgrade. If they then keep the same staff it would be excellent.
Stayed for 8 nights on business. In general their service is excellent, the breakfast is ample and there´s good quality bacon. Of course lots of healthier options, too. The bar area is not too enticing, but I guess I found it ok given the time I spent there. We also ate a few times lunch in the restaurant, and no major comments, good or bad, for that. The room on the 5th floor was spacious and tidy, and the bathroom was large and in good condition. Bed was good and AC works, not too much of noise issues. Perhaps the only thing that annoyed me was that I left a laundry bag twice (in the middle of the floor, with the paperwork filled and clearly visible) the laundry had not been touched at all, so I needed to call for someone to pick it up. I found that strange. There´s a really good Japanese restaurant in the hotel, too. The hotel is excellently located with tens and tens of restaurants and bars close by. The riverfront provides nice possibilities for jogging or just walking.
We stayed overnight to have a night out and recharge the batteries. Room was perfect, spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate.
First time staying at this hotel - it was excellent. The staff were great, the room was lovely overlooking the Adelaide oval. Very clean. Bathroom was spotless and shower and water pressure were great. Great central location and will definitely stay again.
