This hotel is in a great location and I highly recommend a Riverview as it’s just beautiful especially at night with the Adelaide Oval and bridge lights. All amenities you could need, a renovation wouldn’t go astray as it’s outdated and walls are quite marked, however rooms are still lovely and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel which was great!

My stay was average, the staff were (mostly) welcoming, professional and helpful. Special mention to the Vietnamese (i forget his name) valet whom i had several enjoyable discussions with. As one of the tallest buildings in the city, the room had a great view. The room was quiet spacious but the bathroom was exceptionally large with a generous amount of amenities. Their was a good variety of food at breakfast, i particularly enjoyed the preserved fruits/berries...loved the cherries!!....the practice of offering a la carte hot options is a good one with the potential to reduce food wastage and ensure food is hot and freshly prepared. I did think however that my serving size (eggs Florentine) was a little mean with one piece of bread and was the hollandaise sauce house made? Also, the a la carte options are quiet limited i think their were only 6? Service at breakfast however was excellent. The worst part of my stay would have to be the efficiency of certain aspects, for instance, i requested a set of plates and cutlery to be delivered to my room whilst i was on my way back to the hotel. I was told this would take 20 mins...are you joking?? On arrival back to the hotel (30 mins later) nothing had been delivered. I waited 10 more minutes, rang and made my request a second time and received the plates 10 minutes after that. I had a cold dinner that night...thanks! I looked forward however, to enjoying a cup of tea before bed....couldn't do that though, the cup had a hair in it and the tea spoon was slimy...hate to think why..... Before checking out i requested my car to be sent up (self-parking is not an option)...i was told that would take 20 mins (it took 30). The room was quiet dusty and smelt stale, add this the unclean cup/spoon and i felt uncomfortable in the room. With all of the above mentioned i can only presume that the hotel is undergoing some severe cost-cutting re: staffing. Guests can tell when you push housekeeping to far and when you simply lack the staffing needed to provide an efficient/enjoyable service. I would have discussed the above mentioned at check-out but unfortunately was not asked how my stay was.... so I'll happily do it here. lastly....in 2018, 'bedside' power points to charge our phones would be appreciated.

Great location if you are visiting and exploring Adelaide. Staff have got the best customer service skills and make you feel welcome. The downside is, the room we had was quite outdated. Also.... need decent size coffee cups !

A fantastic base to stay while away on a conference trip; the staff were able to check me into the hotel early and were very friendly and helpful throughout. The room was very comfortable and despite being close to the lifts, I didn't hear the lift or people going past the room. I would recommend this place and will stay here again next time I'm in Adelaide.

the location of the hotel is wonderful we stayed her at the end of a 3 week trip and the hotel had a lovely bunch of flowers and card to help me celebrate my birthday! was a wonderful and unexpected touch. Will definately come back!

While there is nothing wrong with this hotel - it has not been renovated for a good 20 years. There have been no upgrades to the rooms or bathrooms since we last stayed here when it was still a Hyatt. It does lack some excitement of more modern hotels. That being said, the room was more than perfectly fine. We had a corner room overlooking the river, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom very spacious. Great amenities in the bathroom. Staff a little vague and have stock standard answers in the ready rather than actually listen to what the customer says. The breakfast whilst at first didn’t look very exciting was actually perfect and of high quality. The cooked to order eggs (various versions) and waffles, pancakes and French toast were a great touch. Loved the muesli, the freshly made juice, nice smoked salmon, great leaf tea. Position is great, although Adelaide city so small - everywhere is great. Overall lovely stay.

The room was fine with a grand view, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the location was fantastic - about 100 paces from the Convention Centre where my daughter was graduating from her MBA course.

Great location - largeer than usual rooms - great breakfast - friendly staff (no attitude!). Very well appointed rooms and comfy beds etc. Near Adelaide Oval and great walking areas - good bars and cafes etc nearby. Close to key attracations - right at central train station and on tram line. Would stay here again - for sure.

Stayed for four nights, room was well appointed and roomy although the furnishings are a bit tired. Staff were great - very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent right in the middle of of the entertainment precinct. Room service were a little slow with the ice delivery so had to go without for the first rum! Would definitely stay here again

Hotel was very under staffed and lacking service. Hard to even get a cup of tea No mini bar in rooms Very tired hotel and needs upgrading Only good thing is concierge was in the ball and car was already on time
